This is the only thing I don’t like about my new Pacifica is there a way to turn it off permanently? Did not even realize it had it until turned off at a stop light.
@@tashee8772 We just got a 2022 Pacifica. This "feature" is absolutely terrifying. You are sitting at a traffic signal and the vehicle lurches forward violently from a stationary position.
Yeah this is the most annoying 'feature' of an otherwise fantastic family / grocery hauler. Plus these stop / start features are a scam. They don't really save you gas, they just defeat the idle portion of the EPA test cycle. In real world driving, you don't spend enough time at stop lights to compensate for the extra gas needed to restart the engine. But at least there is a physical disable button on the dash. Look for the A with an arrow circle around it. You have to hit it every time you start though.
Bei meinem Pacifica war nach ca. 1 Monat das System defekt. Habe dann die Start/Stop Batterie ersetzt, war immer noch defekt. Wenigstens muss ich jetzt nicht immer die Aus-Taste drücken 🤷♂️
I just test drove a Pacifica hybrid and the engine was running the whole time in the battery percentage was slowly climbing and nobody knew how to switch it to EV only mode

Same here. I absolutely hate this feature.

Hey Mopar. Please code a permanent delete option for this. It's not for everyone.
It is easy to disable, unplug the sensor on the positive battery cable
There is no sensor on the positive. Only the negative post
Where is this located at?
@@ericmeadows7439On the negative battery cable end
Gone out twice in three years @chrysler-- thankfully the first time it was under warranty

They're also seeing starters failing around 50,000 miles. Basically, it wears out your starter. Yay!

Get ready to pay twice as much for a new special battery lol
How do you turn off this feature?
An aftermarket company makes a bypass kit for certain makes and models

What an annoying feature
This is the worst feature ever put on a vehicle!!!
I hate it so much
0/10 would not recommend
Absolutely hate Hate HATE this 'feature'. If I knew about this prior to buying, I would have not bought it.
Of course this is a feature on a Chrysler 😅
