Should've used launch control on the GT-R.
Christian Williams Oh okay. I find it surprising that Mercedes engineered the launch control into the car despite it having worse results than accelerating from standstill at 0rpm. Oh well.
Christian Williams I can imagine! I wonder what the results would have been. Regardless the turbo's of the AMG kicked in nicely in the rolling races. The all wheel drive and the naturally aspirated V10 on the other hand helped on the launch.
Ben Rutherford you can adjust launch rpm on the fly and mess with the 9 stg traction control to get it perfect for any surface, just takes a few tries

Clearly the Lamborghini had the Mercedes on the standing start due to the superior all wheel drive traction but in the rolling start, there's no substitute for the monstrous torque of the AMG motor... Lol. Jolly good fun though.

Am I correct in saying that the Huracan is lighter and has more power than the GT-R? That AMG is impressive. The rolling result surprised me. Archie, why the wing if you never take it to the track?

It definitely would be interesting. The Ford GT has a better power to weight ratio than the McLaren 650S, but not the McLaren 675LT. It also has more torque than both. So it should beat the 650S in a roll, but be much closer to the 675LT. I think the 675LT will take it.
Mag Neto power is almost the same, but AMG is indeed 100kg heavier. Its probably because of the huge amount of torque made by the turbos

I have owned many great cars- My 2020 AMG GTR with stage 3 Renntech is by far my favorite. It is different it wasn't designed with a straight edge- Here in Silicon Valley everyone has the Lambos, Ferrari or some BMW M car. I know of 1 other GTR here that I have seen on a rare occasion. Mine is a daily driver too.

Yes. It's much faster even though it's quite a bit cheaper. The Huracan Performante is faster than the GT R, but it's way more expensive.

The GT R is slower around the Nürburgring. That's why I wrote that the Performante is faster. The 2019 GT3 RS is also faster since it just posted a Nürburgring time of 6:56.4 compared to the GT R's 7:10.92. The Performante used to hold the Nürburgring record with 6:52.01(?), but the 911 GT2 RS beat it with a 6:47.3.

Amg GTR in the roll race was an obvious winner.... its a turbocharged supercar.... and it pulls harder in low revs... even though I still prefer the Huracan... or Tony's Huracan Performante.

The weight of the AWD holds the Hurrican back during a rolling start! It will probably need around 75 more HP to will in that way!

One race I think would be interesting is your Huracán LP610-4 and a 458 Speciale, and also your car against a F12berlinetta.
Standing would be the Lamborghini but in a roll race, I think the 458 Speciale would have the edge over the Huracán LP610-4. The F12berlinetta will gap the Huracán LP610-4 in a roll.

Quick question, why did you change plates on your lambo to BOTB plate?
If the GTR had the same 4matic system as the gt63s or the A45s it would be a beast. With the 4matic for the standing launches but still having the rear wheel drive drift mode

@@Smokeyr67 No, not at all. I can't afford either of these cars. If money was no object, I'd have both. I love the AMG. But if I had to pick just one, it would be the Lambo. It's more special. The AMG is very much a "sleeper" (doesn't look amazing (a very good looking car, to be sure, but completely lacking that "WOW" factor Lambos have), doesn't sound amazing, but it's ridiculously fast).
For now, I will (quite happily, I might add) settle for my C7 Z06 Corvette, and hopefully one day a C7 ZR1.

Indeed torque is important for acceleration but horsepower also comes to play in giving the car the maximum speed in each gear
Torque wins 1/4 mile, Horse Power wins Roll Races
you can't win only with torque or only hp they both come together.. in rolling races you need also torque to accelerate faster in the beginning and the same for the 1/4mile you need torque to have a good pull on the start; horsepower is also important because it gives you the maximum speed on each gear
