Just drove one of these at Exotics Racing in Las Vegas. I've driven their Ferrari 488 GTB, Acura NSX, McLaren 570, C7 Corvette ZR1, C8 Corvette and the AMG GT-R. The AMG GT-R was by far the most fun.
Keep it up Brent, cracking video!
Thank you sir!
Loved the video. Great energy and positive vibes from you, just subscribed.
Thanks a lot!!
Love my GTC. Perfect blend of comfort and performance for the road.
These have definitely gone up in value since you made this video 😅
Great car buddy, Enjoy it.. Blessings
Thank you
love the car do more videos on it
Loving the content- this car is my dream car (in green), l will have one in next 5 years l believe- the other contenders are F TYPE SVR & R8 V10 plus - must admit the Mercedes is by far my favourite - l may have to sell my soul but l think that’s a small price to pay for such a beautiful car !!! 😃🇬🇧😃
YOU ARE GOING TO BLOW UP ON UA-cam
Keep up the amazing work
Appreciate that thanks for watching!
Great video and great job with the narration. Great info and your delivery was great!! Not as great as the car, though
What mic do you use for your gopro when doing the rear view of the car?
Great review, got me sold on one! Have you had issues with bonnet stone chips or the windscreen? Also how does the steering feel compare to a 720s, gt3, R8 or even your 458? Cheers
The steering feel is one of the best parts. Heavy but very responsive. Like a 720s but with a heavier car. R8 doesn't compare. I haven't driven my 458 in forever so I'll have to come back to you on that lol. Yes stone chips in windscreen but you can get windshield protection. Or just change windshield every year haha. Thanks for watching!
@@BrentRuiz sounds great, the looks and technicals of a 720s still attract me, was it just the build quality that put you off?
You will have lot of fun and can tweek the car to your liking and driving style. The steering input is minimal on the GTR very different from most cars. The weight and balance is incredible and has plenty of grip. I broke the factory lock and dumped it to my liking and have camber kit with an aggressive alignment for Track. This year I am considering upgrading the coilers to KW V4.
Very nice. Just saved enough to but a c63s thanks to your videos👍🏽
Awesome you'll love the c63s!
Great Video Bro That's My Dream Car You're Driving it 👌
I am considering getting one, may I ask what's the realistic monthly cash flow on this thing ignorning the purchase price? i.e. insurance/gas
Ok, great vibes here. First impression: You just come across as enthusiastic about cars rather than chasing clout and views and posting clickbait
Thank you for watching!
Totally agree!!
I’m considering a 2011 Audi R8 or this one, im so undecided!
Have you driven an R8?
What are your thoughts?
I'm curious what depreciation will do going forward. I'm considering one and feel like a used one now may flat line or even go up a little as the GTRs become very desirable. Ive seen green and yellow in person. The yellow looks really good but omg the green is amazing. I'll get red or green if I get one
That would be unprecedented on a car of such numbers but I could almost see it, as it seems like a real winner
Value will definitely go up. Sales volume has been low, production has stopped. This is the LAST gas engined AMG supercar, period.
Values are solid enough over time
Values are still very solid 2 years later.
Haven‘t seen any car reviewer do the content more detail than yours🥹 Keep going bro!!! keep the passion attitude🔥🔥🔥
Great video. Can you tell me if the after market tune voids the Mercedes warranty? Thanks
No it didn't. Some may though. Make sure the one you get doesn't!
Getting a tune is a great way to destroy resale value.
The door issue is common on all AMG GTs. Even after two years I didnt get used to slam my door hard enough 😬. Btw, great review. Drive safe. 👍
Yeah it takes some getting used to lol!
What door issue? That’s not normal at all. I don’t have to slam the doors on the GTC at all.
@@BrentRuiz a bit late reaction, but the reason is that they use big rubber in the doorsils to get minimum wind noise at high speed as we can run it in Germany 😂
Great vid !!! Glad you’re loving it
Ps surprised you don’t find the car that stiff
Coming from a gt2 guy with fully built solid suspension / motors etc I think my gtr even in comfort is a very rigid ride , I think your tolerance is extremely high , I don’t mind it either but it’s def to the masses not a comfy ride
Yeah you're probably right. Maybe I have a very high tolerance haha
@@BrentRuiz yea just for viewers to note, their perspective may be way diff considering one as a daily haha.. keep on enjoying it I love mine
I can't follow you at all. I have owned the Pista, the 991.2 GT3RS, the 981 GT4, the 992 GT3 Touring and many other cars. The GTR is super comfortable and not very stiff. A GT3RS is MUCH harder. Yes it is a bit stiff, but it is not harsh at all. My tolerance is not high, and I sold my GT3RS because I found it useless as a street car, but the GTR is great. Softer than a Pista, softer than a Porsche GT, on par with a Ferrari 488 but softer than say a Ferrari 812 Superfast.
As for tolerance? My 71 year old mother regularly borrows it, and she drives mainly in Sport and Sport+, and she finds it comfortable.
I find it hard to believe that you had a GTR with that comment.
Great 👍 review! I have question for you. Which better in driving and over all experience Ferrari Pista 2017 or Mercedes Amg gt 2018 like your car? Good Morning from Saudi Arabia.
Thanks for watching! I have not driven a Pista, only heard from other owners. I would definitely have to say the Pista is the superior car (and it should be, given the price tag and Ferrari badge). Just comparing the Nurburgring times, the Pista is 11 seconds faster than the GTR.
I have drove Pista and I be damn. It is just a beast and gets attention everywhere. Anyway, how about getting attention on Amg gt?
But I didn't have chance to drive your car.
But to be honest, your car far more luxurious interior wise than Pista.
I have owned both, and have put about 20k between Pista and Pista Spider, and 35k km on the AMG GTR. The GTR is great, but not remotely close to a Pista. Two completely different world, and the Pista is MUCH faster. Even my 488 Spider is faster and more exciting. It's a great car, but it's not really an exotic.
How much did the tune cost? I just got the 2019 AMG GT in satin blue. Think the tune may be something I want to get.
Congrats! They range from 1500 to 3000
1- it’s funny seeing those GTR prices 1 year ago man.. i wish i bought one then.. but i am happy with my GTS
2- seems like you had your GTR tuned for stage 2 for a while before you actually do the downpipes.. do you recommend doing that in case my handheld has stage 2 already on it ? I am not sure if it’s safe or even better /work in terms if performance
Would appreciate your thoughts
Bought my new GTC in 2019, they basically gave it away… I’m embarrassed by the discount, felt like I stole it. Doesn’t matter what you paid though, just enjoy it!
@@Fluterra lol i am curious to know what did u get it for
how tall are you exactly? Would like to get a better idea regarding the steering position you mentioned.
Somewhere around 5'7-5'8 I think
@@BrentRuiz damn im shorter than you. GG
@@maxpartido247 Height is not an issue in a GTR. I'm 181 cm and have zero issues seeing the speedo. My wife is 158 and it's her daily driver. Zero issues.
u assumed u had a million subs cuz how professional the video was
Thank you 🙏
I'm looking at one right now but I don't know how to go about to negotiate the price as close as you got yours. I'm in Canada, Toronto and I'm open to advises.
Unfortunately impossible now. Car market went nuts 1 week after I purchased. Got lucky with timing. Everything is inflated now :(
@@BrentRuiz thank you for taking the time to respond
Negotiate price? On a GTR now? Are you kidding? Doesnt matter where in the world you are, you can't negotiate anything let alone a high demand car like a GTR.
@@GK-gc9cv you're absolutely correct I ended up getting a mclaren 650s spider 😁
@@sweeterman6748 thats awesome! I'd love to buy a Mclaren. Theres a nice 570s for sale 5 minutes away from me. But I'm worried about maintenance (routine and emergency). Do you have a dealer nearby? My closest would be in another state. I'm worried if my check engine light went on Id have to ship it to another state's Mclaren dealer
Unable to see your speedometer isn't a big deal. Mercedes has incorporated the said information on the infotainment monitor, you just have to find it OK.
what's better Aston martin vantage or Amg GTR
I'm looking for one of them
Gtr by far
@@BrentRuiz ty
GTR. Cost of the Aston will be enormous
If you have to ask, then you can't afford either.
Problem with Aston Martin or Mclaren etc is if you aren't in a big city with a dealer what will you do when the check engine light comes on? Or needs routine service? A mercedes you take to your local dealer. A mclaren or martin dealer is probably in another state
The true stock horsepower is 610bhp. Mercedes under rates it, so that tune should have you close to 700bhp. Also, downpipes don't add much power, but will add cabin drone that will wear on you. Bad.
I didn't notice additional drone with the downpipes added. Just louder lol
Brent, you could have got the same discount on a new one in 2019!
They're not so cheap in Summer '23.
Leave out the music
My dream car.......and I cant even drive
It's even better to buy a GTS which is around 70-80k and almost the same as GTR.
No, it’s not. The GTC is a GTR with more comfort, more luxury, and better looks (IMO). The GT/GTS are great, but very different cars.
The GTS is NOTHING like a GTR. That is something GTS owners say. Not sure why, but a GTS is and never will be a GTR.
GTC master race checking in
Too much relative commentary. Can you please provide specific #s?
Which specifics would you like to know about
@@BrentRuiz Estimated $ amount spent on gas, estimated maintence costs (ex: oil change, tire change), insurance cost, etc
@@gijns I will make a separate video on this 👍
@@gijns why go into detail on gas cost? Someone who can drop six figures on a car doesnt care about gas mileage
@@GK-gc9cv then whats the point of the video? Its a review without any concrete details. Its the different between a great review video and a mediocre one.
Bro 🤜I am waiting for 😜your Ferrari how sexy it will look.
i can get car in for 167 000$ now
I think all Mercedes tend to need door slamming. It’s a Benz thing.
No, it’s not. My GTC doesn’t need any door slams. Get your doors adjusted, it’s not normal.
You will 100% void your warranty with a tune!
His car cost in Turkey 1Million $
Very expensive in Turkey
1600km per month?? in a sport car? did you taxi!?? lol
I have 35000 km on my GTR.
