Part of Superman's power set is that super aura that lets him carry/catch extremely large objects without them being crushed in his grip. Probably why he can save planes and Homelander can't do shit
Yeah, considering that The Deep is pretty likely to do it, say 80% likely, that means there's a 40% chance that Aquaman will. I'd be pretty uncomfortable with those odds as well.
Homelander is on another level for me. He has to be much faster than A-Train I believe. In order to either safely take Butcher out of the C4 blast radius or just move to cover him, he had to move faster than the explosion velocity which occurs at 8,092 m/s, roughly 21-22x times as fast as A-Train at the race!
aaa if he was faster A train wouldn’t be labelled as the fastest alive, and you can explain him going faster then a bomb by being smart enough to not apply real world logic into a comic show. But, refferring to the train section, there is a reason why trains are so efficient for transportation. The design of how a train travels makes it less resistant, math has it that he only needs to put out about 600 pounds of force to pull the train. Still a lot of strength, but he's not pulling more than 600 pounds. Engineering Explain did a video bout rolling resistance for more info. Great video.
Secret Sauce is Overrated they didn’t rip the limbs off him he was all fucked up after fighting homelander and they shot his open wounds butcher said open wounds are the only way to fully injure them. Homelander and black noir are bulletproof but a supe of their strength can harm them and open a wound that can be further damaged with bullets, open wounds are their kryptonite its just nearly impossible to wound them but Homelander brought black noir to deaths door but even then black noir ripped homelander in half because you see him walk out with it, my point is bullets don’t do shit to black noir unless he has a wound which was done by homelander meaning black noir wasnt as durable as he is normally. Homelander and black noir are as invincible as superman and shazam. Fun fact the creator of the boys hates OP supes but has a soft spot for superman
“Light Speed” ...yeah, that’s... no. Look it’s ridiculous to claim that A Train can move at light speed. It’s so much more plausible that Starlight’s attacks just move fast, but not light fast, maybe bullet fast. Yeah I saw that, too. I feel you can kind of compare them to lightsabers though, where the beams radiate light, but are bound to more physical properties. Still don't think A-Train is faster than light.
Black noir got a major strength feat boost in the second season, considering he walked through three IEDs and didn't even get a dent, and the boys implied he can outrun a car, so there was no point in running for it.
Well, you can measure the strenght of the deep with how much pressure he resist during his Search in the deep waters while looking for the mayor of baltimore plane's remains

Various sources show the depth of the Atlantic off the coast of Maryland is less that 200 feet, which is over 100 feet less that numerous dives conducted by individuals wearing normal scuba gear.
You have to remember that with A-Train in the show, his brother said his bone density was way down. So the fact that the female was able to brake his leg isn’t quite as impressive as it seems.
i dont think starlight powers are, well, light, light has almost no mass, so hiting someone with light would do nothing, instead, her power LOOKS LIKE light.
Believe it or not, it does make sense. Light (photons) has the properties of both wave and particle and does exert a pressure on surfaces. That's the reason light-sails can work as a means of propulsion in space. Lasers are already being used to manipulate objects on a microscopic level. If you amped up a laser to very, very, very high energy levels you'd get the kind of blast effect seen in the boys (although it would completely obliterate human beings). Kyle Hill from "Because Science" channel estimated, that the Star Wars Death Star laser would have such a huge RECOIL that everyone on the station would get killed upon firing (by getting smashed against the walls).
yes, but light sails use constant pressure to slowly build speed, the amount of light she would need is so high, i dont think it would be possible. the easier solution would be to just be highly luminous as well. so the "hit" wouldnt be the light itself, but the main "component" instead.
@Jacob Rice lol... thats the excuse? Its 2 different actors? He wears a mask the whole time so what difference would that make anyways lol... im sure Homelanders stunt double could fill in if it makes you any happier
Only if they go this way with Black Noir. Honestly in my opinion that is a very cheap story line and I hope they don't go down that road. I hoped that he was like Batman without Superpowers and is just that strong because of his armor and gadgets and obvious fighting power. And I also hoped that he secretly hates the seven and the corporation and has a plan to stop all of them.
Just because the trains weighs said amount, doesn’t mean that’s what he was pulling, or pushing with his legs, they are on wheels on a track, and he was on V
A-Train wasn’t outrunning light in his fight with Starlight, he was outrunning Starlight’s reaction time. She was aiming the light, and managed to avoid her shots.
How did Butcher punch Translucent without breaking his own fists? Also if Translucent can control and harden his skin why didn't they just kill him while he was unconscious?
Because the video made a mistake in thinking that he can turn his invulnerably on and off while in reality it's always there, it's just his invisibility he can turn on and off
If you put on some revolutionary carbon fiber blanket, with the hardness of diamonds and I started whaling on your face, would my hands break and you be unfazed? The answer is no
Butcher not breaking his fist may be due to how Translucent got knocked back by the punch which will reduce the damage done. Imagine how hard steel is, now imagine hanging a steel plate in the air with a rope. Surely punching it would be much less painful than punching a steel wall.
A-Train is NOT moving at superluminal velocity. That is because Starlight isn't firing beams of actual "light", as light wouldn't have concussive impacts and be knocking people on their butts when hit by them. She is more likely harnessing a combination of light and electromagnetic energy to create a contained field of plasma (supercharged air) that is traveling at something close to the speed of sound. This is why A-Train, who's maximum velocity is about 1,000 MPH was capable of dodging around her beams. If A-Train were actually moving at superluminal velocity then when he hit Starlight she wouldn't have just been knocked back 30 feet or so. Assuming her body could somehow survive such an impact, she would have been knocked through the wall, through the city, past the horizon and off into space. And the impact from A-Train hitting her would probably have created shock waves which would have destroyed the entire hemisphere of the planet.
Building level strength is a fun term. Superman should've been faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than an angry building! Able to leap tall bears in a single bound!
Small fact-check on A-Train's speed. I think the "371 ms" listed there is the time (371 milliseconds), rather than his speed (the stated 371 meters/second). This would actually put him a little south of 1200 m/s, or just north of 2000 mph. That's above Mach 3. Hope that helps. It's much more in keeping with both his stated norms and the fact that he was hopped up on Compound V at the time.
I’ve never read the comics so I could be wrong, but I think the fact that Homelander told Starlight to keep her hands at her sides so she couldn’t attack him says a lot. That’s the only time in the series that he keeps an attack at bay rather than just taking it.
We only ever seen little feats for the Seven! Homelander is the water down version of Superman , except he has no primary weakness. The most powerful of the group obviously Queen Marve watered down Wonder Woman except she does not posses the same durability as her. Her right shoulder and bones fractured bringing a bus down. A-train = The Flash of the group. His Mach speed is that of speed of sound like Quicksilver and CW Flash , even when amped with compound V- he was slightly faster. He is still pretty strong and deadly in his own right The Deep- watered down Aquaman does not have much feats to go by, he only took down thugs at a warehouse. Hope he does more stuff in season 2? Black Noir - Batman of the group, guy has ninjitsu gadgets and is a good hand to hand combatant as seen with facing the Female . I know his BIG secret in the comics but that can changed in the show. Starlight = Stargirl from DC?
Honestly Starlights powers in the comics might be light speed but in the show we can see the projectile happen in real time so they’re probably around supersonic.
It's always funny when comic book people think they know physics. 2:15 "By applying newtons third law, A-trains body should be able to withstand the amount of force he can put out." Except you're completely forgetting the rest of physics, namely impulse. The amount of time the impulse is spread out over determines the force. For example, say you jumped as high as you a can, then you can put out a certain impulse to propel you into the air. If you then decided to lock up your legs for landing and land on your heels, there's a high probability that you will break something. There's more to physics than just "Newtons third law".
@@simonj6801 Isn't that the goal? To waste time? If it's not your goal I don't understand why you would be watching a video about applying science to comicbooks and then go on to comment about how it is a waste of time :S It just doesn't make sense.
whenever Starlight's eyes glow when she fights/threatens someone, I get to giddy like that is so COOL. On the other hand, when Homelander's eyes start glowing, I get so terrified and shocked because Homelander is scary in general.
Black noir shows some more crazy power feats in season 2, like when that bomb terrorist exploded and he got badly damaged and just took it, and when he took multiple gun shots that broke the skin like absolutely nothing
Starlight’s “light” blasts are very interesting. Personally, I don’t think they travel at light speed. Also, the sparks that come off of her beams look similar in color to iron sparks when you sand it or heat it up a lot or similar in intensity to the sparks given off by magnesium when it burns.
Homelander was able to save Billy Butcher from Madeline Stillwell's exploding corpse meaning he's at least massively hypersonic, probably at least a significant fraction of the speed of light.
12:00 I'd like to point out that in Shazam it's implied that no weapon on known to man can harm him so therefore their durability am is theoretically equal
i was thinking like weapons not to understood by men, like lamplighter can be homelanders weakness.Or if there is magic in their universe, that can also kill homelander.
Homelander is like Superman that is to say : OP. He doesn't even have a weakness like kryptonite, besides he is very smart, and have no moral. A nuke can't arm Superman, the same goes for Homelander. When Stillwell said that no human-made weapon could even hurt Homelander, I think she meant it. She seemed convinced of what she was saying, and when she was speaking about her supes, she never lied about what they were capable of. He even outsmarted her with his own hidden agenda that she was unaware of. Other supes among the seven are afraid of him. That's why, Homelander can be scary since he's a god-like psycho. Maybe I'm wrong of course, I guess we'll see !
I think their as powerful as vought designs them to be, and judging by the push back homelander gets from Voughts Stan Edgar he clearly has an ace up his slieve. Possibly Noir as he has now been shown to complete tasks directly from Mr Edgar himself outside of the Seven usual modus operandi.
Star lights beams do move at the spear of light, but she doesn’t, so A-train can still see her slowly point her hands towards him before she shoots, so he can definitely dodge them without being light speed
I gotta say...Translucent is my favorite member of the Seven. He has the best combination of superpowers I’ve ever seen. He has invulnerable skin, is extraordinarily strong, and can turn invisible! Jack Griffin, the original Invisible Man wishes he was this guy! And it’s too bad this character didn’t last long. He was so likable and funny. Also....PFFFFFFFT! That’s a nice frame to freeze on. 11:28 DERRRRRRRRR! 🤣
I'd like b to clarify some things. 1). Starlight's powers are not photonic blasts. 2).black noir has been cut and is portrayed by a black actor so it's doubtful they'll go the route of the comics. 3). Homelander's son is going to be the one to kill Homelander.
I thought Translucent's skin was always super-strong since it's made out of that carbon material. it just turns invisible when he wants to. If not then they would be able to destroy the skin after he died which they couldn't do.
A train's brother said compound V was reducing his bone density that's why Kimiko (the female) broke his leg when he was jonesing for a fix of compound V in Huey's house
He wasn’t really outrunning the speed of light I wouldn’t say. He was outrunning her reaction time. If she moved at the speed of light he’d be considerable moving at the speed of light but she really just projects light once it’s emitted all he has to do is avoid it and if she can move faster than him she can’t hit him with it.

Part of Superman's power set is that super aura that lets him carry/catch extremely large objects without them being crushed in his grip. Probably why he can save planes and Homelander can't do shit
Super boy called it "tactical telekinesis".
Physics just wasn't considered in the writing of Superman.... Or wasn't originally anyway.
Homelander had no training. Starlight was the only one who had some kind of combat training in the Seven.
Chris Lucas I mean if you are talking about a man who can Break the Multiverse in a punch who needs physics Right?

Yeah, considering that The Deep is pretty likely to do it, say 80% likely, that means there's a 40% chance that Aquaman will. I'd be pretty uncomfortable with those odds as well.
Hes at 100%. Aquaman at 0%. So he has a 100% higher chance. You can count with % without multiplying.
Stay out of the water
Homelander is on another level for me. He has to be much faster than A-Train I believe. In order to either safely take Butcher out of the C4 blast radius or just move to cover him, he had to move faster than the explosion velocity which occurs at 8,092 m/s, roughly 21-22x times as fast as A-Train at the race!
@@PBSCaillou well, how would you explain what happened then?
aaa if he was faster A train wouldn’t be labelled as the fastest alive, and you can explain him going faster then a bomb by being smart enough to not apply real world logic into a comic show. It’s like people trying to determine Goku/supermans strength off of what they carry and it’s real world counterparts
@@youare5907 But you can't have both. If you subscribe to the "as strong as the plot requires them to be" then that's mutually exclusive with trying to measure superhero powers objectively. Are you just arguing for arguing's sake?
Lastly: "fastest man alive" is the same motif appearing in DC Justice Leage, but the constant teasing of Flash racing Superman is brought up many times and is the subject of many tv shows and comics. Sometimes compromises are made "Superman can fly faster than Flash can run" or "They're both equal when running". Maybe you've missed those.

But, refferring to the train section, there is a reason why trains are so efficient for transportation. The design of how a train travels makes it less resistant, math has it that he only needs to put out about 600 pounds of force to pull the train. @Secret Sauce is Overrated the most bullshit character in comics is Batman with prep time.

“Light Speed”
...yeah, that’s... no. Look it’s ridiculous to claim that A Train can move at light speed. It’s so much more plausible that Starlight’s attacks just move fast, but not light fast, maybe bullet fast. Power scaling videos like this tend to throw around the words “light speed” like it isn’t ridiculous to amp things up there. I know we’re talking superheroes but that’s such a leap in logic.

Well, you can measure the strenght of the deep with how much pressure he resist during his Search in the deep waters while looking for the mayor of baltimore plane's remains
ElWalteroide not really considering that would be more on the side of a natural resistance being that he is clearly mixed with multiple sea creatures. That’s why he has gills and fish parts.

john cena finally got the perfect role as translucent and did an amazing job
i dont think starlight powers are, well, light, light has almost no mass, so hiting someone with light would do nothing, instead, her power LOOKS LIKE light.
Well, light is basically a ray of energy so we can probably call that she can release 'energy blast' more than calling it "Light".
And atrain causing sonic booms would destroy everything around him not to mention he’ll die as well
Notice how Black Noire and Homelander are exactly the same build and height?

Only if they go this way with Black Noir. Honestly in my opinion that is a very cheap story line and I hope they don't go down that road. How did Butcher punch Translucent without breaking his own fists? Also if Translucent can control and harden his skin why didn't they just kill him while he was unconscious?
Because the video made a mistake in thinking that he can turn his invulnerably on and off while in reality it's always there, it's just his invisibility he can turn on and off
@@TheHiddenSpider101 That's what I thought but if that's actually the case then wouldn't his skin keep his body together when they blew him up?
Maybe him blowing up from the inside did it, or the writers just wanted the goriest death from him
If you put on some revolutionary carbon fiber blanket, with the hardness of diamonds and I started whaling on your face, would my hands break and you be unfazed?
The answer is no
Butcher not breaking his fist may be due to how Translucent got knocked back by the punch which will reduce the damage done. Imagine how hard steel is, now imagine hanging a steel plate in the air with a rope. Surely punching it would be much less painful than punching a steel wall.
Homelander saves Billy after he detonates the TNT that is two feet from him. He is probably the fastest as well
A-Train is NOT moving at superluminal velocity.
Look up her wiki she’s blasting light a-train also looked at her for a moment before deciding how much force he’s applying to her
I look at that opening image and I notice Black Noir is right there, next to Homelander, his really got his back, ready for the order.
Building level strength is a fun term. Superman should've been faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than an angry building! Able to leap tall bears in a single bound!
A-Train wasn't reacting at the speed of light. He was reacting to the spped at which Starlight could move her arms.
Pretty sure that's not what Newton's third law is referring to.
That jet scene though ... pretty freaking awesome 😎... The cinematography… Perfect! 🤣👌
Starlight’s powers are so confusing, wouldn’t a beam of light that wide and that strong basically be like a buffed version of homelanders laser vision
I’ve never read the comics so I could be wrong, but I think the fact that Homelander told Starlight to keep her hands at her sides so she couldn’t attack him says a lot. That’s the only time in the series that he keeps an attack at bay rather than just taking it.
A Train made Kimicu give him some superhead up against that wall
Respect for researching trains. You've just earned another sub! Peace
We only ever seen little feats for the Seven!
Homelander is the water down version of Superman , except he has no primary weakness. The most powerful of the group obviously
Queen Marve watered down Wonder Woman except she does not posses the same durability as her. Her right shoulder and bones fractured bringing a bus down.
A-train = The Flash of the group. His Mach speed is that of speed of sound like Quicksilver and CW Flash , even when amped with compound V- he was slightly faster. He is still pretty strong and deadly in his own right
The Deep- watered down Aquaman does not have much feats to go by, he only took down thugs at a warehouse. Hope he does more stuff in season 2?
Black Noir - Batman of the group, guy has ninjitsu gadgets and is a good hand to hand combatant as seen with facing the Female . I know his BIG secret in the comics but that can changed in the show.
Starlight = Stargirl from DC?
The Deep comic version is basically just an enhanced human (he has no nautical abilities). Weaker then the main 3 tho

Honestly Starlights powers in the comics might be light speed but in the show we can see the projectile happen in real time so they’re probably around supersonic.
It's always funny when comic book people think they know physics.
2:15 "By applying newtons third law, A-trains body should be able to withstand the amount of force he can put out."
Except you're completely forgetting the rest of physics, namely impulse. The amount of time the impulse is spread out over determines the force. For example, say you jumped as high as you a can, then you can put out a certain impulse to propel you into the air. If you then decided to lock up your legs for landing and land on your heels, there's a high probability that you will break something. There's more to physics than just "Newtons third law".
physics is often abused to confirm or deny our own hypothesis
Dude its fiction.
No shit? I fail to see your point, obviously it’s fiction. Doesn’t change the fact that flawes real life physics is being applied in this video.

whenever Starlight's eyes glow when she fights/threatens someone, I get to giddy like that is so COOL. On the other hand, when Homelander's eyes start glowing, I get so terrified and shocked because Homelander is scary in general.

A train was struggling to hit mach 1 but barry was already there im the first episode of the flash. Wally could kill this man.
Starlight’s “light” blasts are very interesting. Personally, I don’t think they travel at light speed. Also, the sparks that come off of her beams look similar in color to iron sparks when you sand it or heat it up a lot or similar in intensity to the sparks given off by magnesium when it burns.
Black Noir is basically Snake Eyes on juice
A-Train ran a train.....
And he has to get checked out 😂
Homelander was able to save Billy Butcher from Madeline Stillwell's exploding corpse meaning he's at least massively hypersonic, probably at least a significant fraction of the speed of light.
Supes weakness is magic and ya know the green rock
Homelander would light her up. She stood down quickly when he looked at her with those laser beam eyes.
I bet A-Train has that thing most speedsters do, where their perception of time and things going on around them are altered.
I think Queen Maeve is bulletproof. Because if she wasn't, she would have shards of the van she stopped in her back.
Homelander shot her at point-blank range with a rifle and she felt nothing so, yes, she is.

The impressive thing is in the season two trailer when black noir takes a explosion and doesn’t flinch
We don't know he could survive a nuke. I think you're taking what they said too literally.
Star lights beams do move at the spear of light, but she doesn’t, so A-train can still see her slowly point her hands towards him before she shoots, so he can definitely dodge them without being light speed

you were right at the beginning of the video black noir is the strongest not lamp lighter
10:00 I heard the writers mention that yeah translucents skin would’ve contained the blast, but they did it for effect. Just what I heard.
