  • Learn to describe things in English by talking about how they taste, sound, smell, feel and look! In today’s English lesson you will learn how to describe things using the 5 senses in English. You will learn English vocabulary connected to the 5 senses, as well as important grammar tips for talking about the 5 senses in English.
    What are the 5 Senses in English?: The 5 senses in English are taste, hearing, smell, touch, and sight. When we want to talk about these senses as verbs, the verbs for senses will become tastes, sounds, smells, feels, and looks.
    How to use the 5 senses in English: This English grammar lesson will teach you the three most common ways to talk about the senses in English:
    1. Use an adjective after the sense verb:
    It tastes delicious. It sounds amazing. This smells wonderful. It feels soft. It looks beautiful.
    2. Use ‘like’ plus a noun after the sense verb:
    It tastes like my father’s cooking. It sounds like an alarm. It smells like garbage. It feels like a blanket. It looks like a painting.
    3. Use the senses as nouns. Use ‘the’ plus the sense and add ‘of’ plus a noun afterwards:
    I love the taste of dark chocolate. The sound of screaming children drives me crazy. I love the smell of freshly baked cookies. The feel of wool makes me itchy. I don’t like the look of that photo.
    By the end of today’s English lesson you will have learned how to use the 5 senses in English. These sense verbs and sense nouns will help you to improve your English speaking and fluency in English conversations. Thank you for watching, “Senses: What are the 5 Senses and How to Use the 5 Senses in English” I hope this English lesson will be useful for you as you enjoy discussing the senses in English! I love hiking in nature, in the middle of mountains smell of the flowers is wonderful, the view looks like a view from heaven, water tastes tasty, grasses fells soft and tweets from a bird sounds very nice absolutely unlike tweets from the humans.
    I hate smoking, the smell of cigarette is disgusting.

    Hi, Jen. Thank you for this lesson.
    Answering the question, I love the smell and taste of baked bread, the sound of birds singing and children laughing, the feel of my dogs’ fur, and the look of a garden, especially if it has many flowers. On the contrary, I hate the sound of a vehicle horn, the look of a street filled with garbage, the smell of smoke, the taste of fish, and the feel of hot metal.
    If I made some mistakes, you can fix them. Thank you.

    • @JeNsJyugyou
      @JeNsJyugyou  3 роки тому

      That's a great question, Sadeq😎. The sixth sense is basically ESP (Extrasensory Perception). It's like an intuition or spiritual sense that for some people involves predicting the future or contact with ghosts.
