Cleaning 10 Years Of Stains Off My Enclosed Car Trailer (Incredibly Satisfying)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 сер 2020
- I've spent some time upgraded my Haulmark Goosneeck Race Trailer mechanically, but aesthetically it's got about 10 years of stains, mold, and soot covering it. So i try some different chemicals and get it back to white!

wrapped black with all the trimming shined up and maybe a set of wheels, that's one hell of a way to flex
Wrapping it black would be a huge mistake. Would make the trailer absolutely unusable in that Florida heat. They make majority of inclosed trailers white from the factory for a reason 🤷🏻♂️
Yea wrapping it black is horrible, looks cool but sucks especially in FL, before I had a black trailer that was small enough to fit in my garage until I needed to upgrade to a bigger trailer. In the time that the black trailer sat outside when I was doing work it would easily get up to 120° in there and it was unbearable at times and the most amount of time it sat out for was maybe 8 hours. I now have a bigger white trailer which I insulated myself and it doesn't get above 90.
Yeah black wrap with the drift Miata’s number hella big on both sides and the back
What's flexing? U talking bout lifting weights or what?
@@seanmayo206 it's kinda like showing off
Just need a set of wheels and tires on the trailer to match the truck and she will look like a bombshell
Was going to comment this 👍🔥
And a giant fancy Faster Proms logo
Agree
Just paint the steel wheels black and it would look great and cost next to nothing.
Some custom polished aluminum mag wheels would look clean and match the truck
Wow can we take a second to appreciate his editing? All the setup time for every shot and all the different angles.
Dang my boy even got his girl to help to she’s a keeper
She drove an hour to come help just to drive back 3 hours later. For sure a keeper.
@@Taylordrifts why so far?
Taylor Ray 🥰🥰
i that’s how far away she lives right now.
@@Taylordrifts Have you offered to let her sleep in your special ELECTRONIC LIFT trailer?
Carpro has something called ironx that will drastically help with the rust issue.
As for the dirt. You have a pressure washer. Look for the "foaming" attachment for it and buy a good foaming shampoo for cars. They work miracles.
After your done I would look into a something like Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax. Very very easy to apply and it would make cleaning the trailer again 1000x times easier. After that you apply it like every 4-5 months and you'll have a trailer always looking great! Hope this helps
+1 for IronX
Eagle One Triple Cleaning Black And Plasti-Coat Foam is a great cheap alternative to iron x that will do the same job. Make sure you get the right one cuz they have lots of similar products
Meguiars Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner is another good Iron-x substitute.
There are also coatings that can be applied with a foam gun. I use them for semitrucks and trailers.
There are also spray and rinse coatings that are a breeze to apply.
“Enough Jibber-jabber” tshirt?
I'd be down for one!
Cringe. I would like some more garage built merch though
Supervisor sands.
he should come out with some new merch would sell good for sure
i would buy one too
Can feel the detail nerds cringing but that was still satisfying to see the after.
it’s a trailer no one cares
As someone who details for a living, I can say I'm massively impressed. There are a few things I could suggest, sure, but for the most part it's a night and day difference for sure. The rivet rust is going to be a fun one with the possibly compromised condition of the paint.
Arrogant Sting clay bar or iron remover spray should get most of it
I wanted to like the comment but at 69 likes I felt like it would be a disservice
Yeah but detail nerds can't handle being outside that long lol
Instead of watching paint dry, I watched someone wash a trailer and stayed until the end.
Hey! Plenty of opportunities to watch paint dry. How often do you get to see someone wash trailer. Stayed to the end AND read comments. 😂
Dude the level of quality content you put out is awesome. For just a dude in his shop with his own projects you're killing the game. This is the perfect mix of look what I did in a artsy way and technical breakdown (on things like the fummins) it keeps those who know interested.
Once again you’re one hell of a mechanic and a great person. I always enjoy watching your videos. Great work man!!
man you'll regret it if you go black, makes such a huge difference in how hot it gets inside. Where it looks like the paint is giving out, it's just where dirty chemicals dried - should come off.
Word. Should wrap it in Sandy.
Scott L a giant picture of Sands. That would be epic.
Not to mention how much harder black is to keep clean !
@@CleetusDaily Not a wrap. You just spray and squeegee.
All that trailer needs now is some aluminum wheels to really match the fumins, great job 👏
Trailer needs some alloy wheels to match the truck.
I envy your motivation to do cleanup like this. I just can’t be bothered. 😂
I on the other hand love clean up, once your done, it seems like a new trailer or house or what ever it may be, puts a little pep in my step and makes me proud. Just my view. :)
Well he is getting paid to do it so I'm sure that helps
Some of us like our shit to look nice, I get not giving a shit what anyone thinks but I personally take pride in my stuff looking nice.
Florida really does a number on the paints! Like you're living in a swamp or something! Awesome job on your trailer, almost looks new man
All the keyboard warriors nagging and busting this guy's balls.
Looks great Taylor! Such a great display of what having a good work ethic can accomplish. Lots of people would drive that trailer around for years without doing anything to improve it. Thanks for putting out such inspiring content!
I love this channel. By far the best out there. Keep it up Taylor!
Should have bought 5 or 6 different brands and done a test of each! Could have got a million+ views!
You need a shirt that says, "Enough Jibber Jabber, lets get something done"!
I would buy that shirt!
Being a professional detailer myself this video was very satisfying to watch 😍😂 cleaning takes a lot of effort and elbow grease, but damn the results can turn out so well! Nice job Taylor
That Fummins looking 🔥. Awesome build, lots of work you put in, and it turned out amazing
I've been wanting more than a year for this
I noticed it was dirty the first time it was it on vid
Idk about the black wrap, that trailer will get really hot.
He's got AC lol
@@edgarmurillo1746 greater heat load, AC pulls more current to cool the trailer, AC is powered by a generator... the lower the heat load, the less it costs to cool the space. Same goes for your home... Pull all the shades during the day and it will cost less to cool your house.
@@edgarmurillo1746 so with a black wrap, a/c will have less of a chance of keeping up
@@brianwasmund7568, some AC is better than no AC I think.
@@edgarmurillo1746 thats true, but why make it struggle even more just to have a black wrap? Plus black looks way dirtier way faster than white
never would have thought watching someone wash a trailer wold so so satisfying
Taylor you always have a way to make your restoration projects so satisfying!
Now you need some chrome trailer wheels
Polished aluminum*.
So awesome that it came out so good! It wasn't the nicest with that awesome truck in front of that dirty trailer. So cool, looking mint. You might need a good cleaning product sponsor, apart from the need of a tire sponsor 😅 keep it up man ✌️💪
Your attitude is so contagious. Love your videos brother. Keep fighting the good fight
The intros of very simple action shots of you moving equipment is very Andrew Camarata-esque. Love it.
Gotta love Andrew
Top to bottom man, wash everything top to bottom. Start at the highest point of any vehicle and work your way down.
Damn right
The instructions on the bottle literally tell you to wash from the bottom up. I mentioned that in a clip but forgot to put it in.
Just stop eric
@@Taylordrifts I guess I should have clarified.. I was speaking about the Ranger. After you washed the fenders you did the hood and the glass and I would guess the roof. It is best practice to start at the roof and work down and bumper to bumper. I've never detailed a trailer.. wouldn't know where to start there.
@@TheEricHarding sometimes its best to just stfu.
are you gonna do wheels and tires for the trailer
All the work. Let's not forget all the editing all the camera shots and different angles great job 👌👍
wrap it for sure!! love the videos taylor!
"As you can see this sides almost a lot dirtier" as both trucks to pull it actively roll coal out the passenger side of the truck 😂😂 I absolutely love when you can see where you actively roll coal past xD
Literally 17 seconds in.... Great work there Taylor..
Hah, the wonders of time lapse technology
great dedication! love it
Dude, holy shit. My arms hurt just from watching you clean that beast. Looks great!
I think you should get some new wheels for the trailer it would make it look way nicer and newer
And spray it gloss black
2 cups - (heavy) 3 cups pool bleach
1 oz dawn (does not contain ammonia)
1 gallon water
Pump sprayer, let sit 10-15 do not let dry
Yes! I was gonna comment this! I used this before on my mom's siding!
Long handled broom that you would use to sweep your floors works great! I used to detail primemovers and semi trailers for a living. She looks great Taylor! Good work man 👌
if I hadn’t seen you clean that trailer I would have thought it was a on Another trailer instead of the old one, great job and great video. What ever that cleaner is, it was worth the money spent.✌🏽
Sooooo..... yeah. I just spent twenty minutes watching a dude wash a trailer, and I feel like I accomplished something... is that weird?
🤣🤣 so glad I’m not alone
Painting the wheels on the trailer would probably go a long way.
I didnt realize just how dirty that trailer was til now. It turned out amazing!
A very satisfying watch. Thanks!
Taylor “Enough Jibber Jabber” Ray
It gave me a bit of anxiety that you didn't finished the cleaning 😷
Pro tip, truck wash works amazing. There's snow foam truck washe you can get that work really well on trailers. Even gets the red dirt out of stained trailers in Australia. Snow foam, rinse, snow foam and scrub and rinse done.
Great job Taylor!!
Hey I like your helper there
You picked a great day to visit Tuck & Sandy!
It seems like she only makes guest appearances during trailer restoration. But always a welcome sight seeing teamwork towards a goal!
SirVic42 it’s always a great day to visit Sandy and Tuck
Metal Mind I try to be there whenever painting is involved and I was hoping this would be kinda like painting. It was not😂
new trailer rims or painting the wheels in the future...
I could watch that truck drive around the yard all day......oddly satisfying..
By far the most satisfying improve this year. Finally clean and don't look run down
Why not wrap it with your logo and that and sponsors would look good
Not sure the legality of it. Supposedly DOT gets super sus when you add logos and designs to trailers. Especially a triple axle goose neck. Looks commercial to them.
Could end up being a lot more headache than it's worth.
@@lnvfx I like the look of rad Dan's I was thinking if he did something like that
DOT issues as LNZ33 said. This trailer with my truck could be considered illegal and need a CDL even if it weighs out under the 26,001lbs limit because it can technically carry more than that. It's pretty convoluted.
Taylor Ray. Personal trailer for personal use. All you ever tell them 😂
@@Taylordrifts you need a non-commercial class b. Actual weight doesn't matter to them its all about the GVWR.
Install one of those power tailgates so you don't have to get out when your backing it up
I’m just curious how he never pulls up with the tailgate already down. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
It’s a goose neck
@@BubbaGT57 Might be using a camera to back up, would be cool to install one near the hitch to line it up too
No shit, the question is, if you’re already walking out to the truck, why would you not drop the gate immediately? instead of climbing in, driving over hopping out dropping the gate then continuing to back up.
BubbaGT57 I’m pretty sure he keeps the gate up because that’s where the camera is, then when he is kinda lined up, he drops it.
awesome job and great video!
what's cool is that now you know what works and you have the tools (floor mop) you can do this every other month, heck maybe every 3 months and you'll have a lovely clean trailer all year round!
next job: get some white spray paint and give those wheels some love!
ps: I'd say keep the trailer white!
keep up the good work Taylor!
That pool setup is dope! So is drone footage.
I have done this black removal and it is hard work. You did a pretty good job but if you don't put some kind of protection on it now it will be lack again pretty fast. A orbital buffer and some good wax will help but not for any extended length of time.
For long lasting resistance to black build-up clean it well, then tape up the alloy parts, scuff the complete painted surfaces with a 3M red or green scuff pad and pick a calm day, spray it with clearcoat or better yet find a building long enough to put it inside of and spray it there. Trailer will shine like new and be much more resistant to staining in the future. I do realize how hard you both worked to complete this operation! Congratulations on the upgrade in appearance.
7:50 dude what a throwback song!! Love reminisce of the old times
That’s a killer trailer glad to see your bringing it back to life
Killer job man I love the trailer stuff cause I recently did the same to my 28ft enclosed. It’s the little things that go a really long way 👍🏼
I’m enjoying the variety Taylor 👌🏻
That truck sounds so, so good!
Nice work. Looks a ton better!
idk why but i love the trailer videos gets me in a good vibe
YES!! perfect timing for my lunch break
I never thought watching someone clean a trailer would be so enjoyable.
Looks really good bro... excellent job looking much better than before.. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Looks good. I like the trailer project

The trailer looks great! Keep with the awesome content
Outstanding improvement.
Keep up the great content Taylor!! 🇧🇷
Good work , the result's fire my man !
I am a fan of the wrapping it black idea.
looks WAYYYYYYY better! but i still think black with chrome wheels is the ticket. great job Taylor ! she's mint !
Amazing how good it looks
Awesome work! I've got one suggestion that may help with the rest :)
For the bolt rust stains mix iron out with water and soap, it's a cheap powder you can find at most stores. Use a brush to scrub it on. Used it all the time at a fertilizer plant I worked at on the nicer truck trailers. It may also take away remaining stains from the soot
I have a box truck that’s about the same panel setup and just had it wrapped black and it turned out awesome!
I can’t believe I just watched this entire video but really nice job bro! I have a white trailer that I need to do this too and it has lettering from the previous owner so I will definitely try this method to get mine looking new again. I wanted black but this white is growing on me... esp seeing your results!
So enjoyable and satisfying. Music was good too
Love the rig!!!
Truck+Trailer = Badass.
Thank you! I wish I could attach a photo of the trailer that I am attempting to clean this month. A 6x10 that has not moved in 10 years sitting outside in northern Minnesota. Thank you for the Bio-Kleen tip- I was thinking Simple Green-you may just have saved my ass.
dude it looks so good!!!
Definitely need to do something about those wheels. I bet even a quick coat of spray paint would do wonders
Taylor you have more professionalism then most that's one of the hundreds of reasons I love your channel keep up the good work #turbotruck
Hell yeah! finally lookin clean
That fummins truck turned out super sick!
Man i gotta try this on my trailer, Incredibly Satisfying to watch - legend
