    Was given antipsychotics for "depression" now I have severe anhedonia. I've been off these meds with no improvement. I can't believe I was prescribed dopamine antagonists. Now what? I think my receptors or everything is damaged. So what about dopamine agonists or am I just messing my brain up. ??? This is a nightmare.

    Do you have any advice for me. In January I was prescribed Seroquel for sleep and Zoloft for PMDD. And continuing my Wellbutrin to eventually taper off. On day 5 of this regimen I had an induced panic attack, and a fever. And was very off and blank stared and minded. I ended up cold turkey Wellbutrin 300mg.
    Since January I’ve got depersonalization and derealization. I had very severe deadly withdrawl and I was told it’s anxiety and kept giving medication. I was shivering cold for days; fevers, suicidal. I have lost cognitive function,I was accepted into a masters program right before this happened. No satisfaction in shopping, being with my kids, running/ I was Avid runner and have no runner high, no hood feeling when deep cleaning or listening to music. I feel so blank and like a vegetable. I don’t recognize my kids sometimes, my house, my town, myself. What happened to me? I want to cry in bed all day and want my life back. I was always called the kool aid mom. Had get together, holidays, parties, did all activists, volunteering, working and loved my job, I had this amazing reward feeling and very empathetic from helping others. It’s all gone. I’m a blank slate
    . They gave me Lamictal and it helped somewhat but was making me restless. That makes me wonder my glutamate was high if lamictal worked.
    I was so stressed out after my induced panic attack and traumatized I thought I was dying, I lived in fear for months. Scared to be alone in my house, scared to leave the house, scared to look at my world. Nothing has been working. I used to be so spountanoues and out going. Am I stuck this way. I’ve had so much blood work and the ontk thing that came back was low morning cortisol. I believed I dumped so much after back to back panic attacks and calling 911 that I maxed myself out:
    I want my old life back. What can I take?

      what about this study, "study showed that use of Vitex in combination with a dopamine agonist (Bromocriptine) lowered testosterone levels.[xxv] This may indicate that elevation of libido (which is commonly seen with both Bromocriptine and Vitex) is an unreliable guide to whether testosterone is being elevated. It could be the case that dopaminergic stimulation is responsible for the increased libido seen with Vitex, as opposed to increased testosterone release" ?? It confuses me as it lowers testosterone and wouldn't it further lower my testosterone which is already low ?

      Thank you for your comment. 'Can excessive masturbation lead to low levels of dopamine?' ---- Great question. This is what I am able to state......masturbation to an orgasm lower the levels of dopamine. However, masturbation to videos/magazines/etc..... have a direct effect on dopamine levels. I would suggest that you talk to a professional in that area that will better explain the connection between: masturbation/dopamine/mood depression. Tyrosine will assist in increasing dopamine levels due to the mechanism of action.

      One question.
      I have checked the flow of air through nostril during full expiration.found that amount and force of air is coming through left nostril is more compare with right...
      Is it due to imbalance between right and left lobe of brain?
      Do u think it happens.?
      You are wondering with my stupid question

      @@ripalripal7550 the nose thing is normal. We always breathe more through one nostril than the other to clear out our passageways - the brain subconsciously switches which one periodically.
      The only worry is if there is a nostril that you never breathe out of. Then you need to check for more serious blockages.

      a substance from which another is formed, especially by metabolic reaction.
      "pepsinogen is the inactive precursor of pepsin" It is the 'thing' that comes before THAT 'thing'. Water is the precursor of Ice.

    They give Adderall to teens with ADHD who will never develop a self esteem, instead of teaching them motor skills & coordination

    • @ToanTheNomad
      @ToanTheNomad 5 років тому

      1) Motor skills & self-regulation are two separate functions.
      2) Medicative Tx may in fact help teens develop a sense of self-competence and with that comes self-esteem.
      It is those who never get any treatment that never develop any autonomy or control over their lives. I would in fact go as far to say that the major factor in influencing the development of co-morbid conditions like depression and anxiety is the overwhelming social stigma that’s placed on ADHD and ADHD medications. Your post is a good example of this, lol.

    • @ToanTheNomad
      @ToanTheNomad 5 років тому

      You also seem to be confusing Parkinson’s Disease with ADHD. Either way, you wouldn’t ever see a Doctor prescribe motor skills training to either patient.
