      Or perimenopause women too I have been having horrible painful cramps that I never had in my whole life and my gyno accused me of wanting pain meds and being a druggy
      - mind you I didn’t want pain meds I wanted birth control to help me since I used to be on it years ago and-I got accused of lying about my pain and my periods -
      As women we are on our own as far as our health and what these doctors offer is butchering surgeries that are barbaric
      Thank goodness for men like this man in this video with information we actually need

    This is amazing content! I had one doctor want me to
    Get on Lipitor 3/2023. First time my cholesterol was not in a healthy range. I refused. Started down a reset journey and checking my hormones. My Vit D was extremely low. Adding that along with other things, my cholesterol is now in a healthy range.

    I am in perimenopause I’m 52 and having period issues that they come every 28 days but the last two months it’s lasted 2 1/2 weeks
    Mind you the past two months I lost my apartment moved in with my partner and had my whole life turned upside down on top of not sleeping well, and changing from working days to nights
    So of course my hormones are all over the place
    I just started dhea today
    I pray this gets me back on track cause having my period 21/2 weeks a month and being exhausted on the weeks I don’t is wreaking havoc on me and my partner

    BEST vid on DHEA for Post Menopause! Comprehensive, concise & understandable. SUBBED!
    Please, can i take it at 68 ALONE (WITHOUT added bioidentical E2 & progesterone)? (like i used to), or do i need the combination?

    • @dshepherd107
      @dshepherd107 6 місяців тому +2

      That’s a good question. You shouldn’t take it in addition to HRT bc the DHEA can increase your hormone levels too high. You should def take DHEA without hormone replacement, unless your doctor says otherwise to you

      @@dshepherd107at the age of 68 even DHEA can not rise other hormone levels enough. So it could be supplemented separately or in combination.

    • @13thgenerationamerican51
      @13thgenerationamerican51 2 місяці тому +2

      Yes, HRT becomes less effective once you’re elderly. So supplementation with Dhea would be beneficial imo. I never take a month off like he recommends though.
      Been on HRT, bios 17 years! Dhea about 12 or more….

      Good luck finding a regular doctor to give you a blood test. I just asked mine and he refused to do a DHEA blood draw. Maybe I didn't ask the right questions or maybe it's for a functional medicine doctor to do and you pay for it out of your own pocket.

    great video!! How do you feel about providers using DHEA solely in a post menopausal woman to "try " to boost their Estradiol levels? I assume it can by boosting the test and then that spins off into (maybe) some estrogens.. but I would imagine it would not be to a therapeutic level that is needed to actually be heart/brain/bone protective? I imagine if this was such a great way to do Estradiol replacement that BHRT wouldnt even really need to be a thing?... except of course for the addition of the progesterone. TIA!!!!

    What effects do beta blockers have on hormones in the adrenal glands?
    I take propranolol twice daily for migraine prevention, for many years, and am post menopausal. I'm concerned the beta blockers are hampering my HRT. What do you think? Thank you 😊xx

    Since I knew that is the hormone of youthful I started using it lol!! It was on my 35 now I’m 45, all good, I work out etc.lately I learned we should take w Saw palmetto, to avoid the excess of androgens etc if you are a lady. I’m in doubt about that. If someone know something about it? Please and thank you!

      I am also in Australia. Docs don’t know anything about treatment for menopause generally (I had to inform my doc that oestrogen helps bone density, she didn’t know). She/he should find out about it since you asked her, or take some printed information for her /him to read. Honestly we are educating some of these doctors. Your doc needs to run bloods to see your DHEA levels as a first step. Good luck!
