Eiht was dope in that movie and his song 'straight up menace' from the soundtrack is a classic
Yep
Facts
They would play the shit out of that movie on basic cable in the early 2000s. Which definitely helped set-up the love affair of LA/South Central from the 90s. GTA San Andreas knew what they where doing after bringing us to NYC/Miami in their franchise.
Yes yes
COME ON Y'ALL, STRAIGHT UP MENACE !
That car scene, with the Al Green playing, was 1 of my favorites. Lol Eiht cussed them both the hell out, and said “Gimmie my MF joint!” 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
- Signed 03/16/2024
And they had to respect it💯
“Make em do right”!
"Man both y'all shut the fuck up, both y'all acting like some motherfuckers bitches"
My fav eiht line from the movie hey 3$ fool 😂😂😂
Its funny cause you really could get a good amount of gas for 3 bucks back then
Mine was odog asked him so you like my lil tape huh. Awax yeah dat shiiii was cool but ahhh you should’ve came to the wax boi I would’ve showed you how to do dat shiiii much better 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@RockerT1000snaps on da petro
I wonder why Eiht didn't give him much eye contact. Makes me feel like he didn't want to glorify that part of the movie.
Who got snaps on the petro😂
Everybody Wanted A DE Back Then After Watching Menace To Society
The Desert Eagle didn’t get much exposure in this film, though. The gun I wanted after seeing this movie was the Beretta 92F (Caine’s gun in the film).
At first I thought he was asking him about the 10 rounds because the .50 cal and .44 cal Desert Eagle doesn't hold 10 rounds, but then MC Eiht mentioned that it's a .357 and the .357 holds 9 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber so it wasn't a mistake
MC Eiht was the most believable character in that movie because he was pretty much playing himself. Only someone that truly comes from that environment can pull off what Eiht was able to pull off in Menace To Society, and I'm not taking anything from the other actors, but you could tell that they were only acting. Eiht was actually believable.
This interview dope because Mitch always said Eiht was his favorite rapper growin up.
Mitch was my favorite rapper growing up.
Slick needs a interview on his whole trigeration station album. I have some questions
He got into it a little bit on the podcast
@@SMOOTHCUTPRODUCTION I seen it.
Dat d .e was hard on lyfe🔥🔥🔥💪🏽💯
New Jack City and Menace 2 Society are the 2 best black gangster flicks.
LP blood gang fck w you s:o the big homie slick
Nyc got love for Mc 8️⃣
He played himself 😂
Eiht said when the dude got out the car, he just s#0t him twice❓. What is he talking about❓. Dude never got out of any car. He and the other cat were already at the drive thru restaurant chilling LOL 🤣🤷🤦🤔.
He got out of the car himself
All y'all fools wrong. The Fresh Prince is The Best acting rapper. Don't make him come up there and slap the taste out your mouth, ask Chris.....
"Who got some snaps on the petro?" 😂
And yall aint got no muthafuckin money! Fuck Pump my shit! 😂🤣
🗣️ “Ayo Caine! Mannn leave that bxtch alone!”
I still say that line.
“ YA’LL NIGGAZ SLANG ALL THAT SH 💩 AND AIN’T NOBODY GOT SNAPS ON SOME PETRO ? “
All yall slinging that dope and u broke
At the time it felt like they got Eiht straight from the street, it was that raw and believable
They really did get eiht straight from the street. He was a real life tragnew park Compton crip
Str8 up menace
I agree. But Eiht is a Gangster.
Unpopular opinion: Menace II Society is better than Boyz n the hood
It's not unpopular, it's true.
Not unpopular
I humbly beleive so
They both L.A. classics boyz n tha hood glorified tha 60s witout directly glorified them Menace 2 society showed all of L.A. not jis a section
You’re absolutely correct sir
2Pac & MC Eiht are legends✊🏾💪🏾💯
Pac was a shit actor but a excellent rapper
Facctz
@keviunlangford1979 u sound dumb asf
I dont think Eigt was acting he was being himself
It takes talent to translate your personality onto the screen. Don’t downplay his talent!
He didn’t get from some acting school. Straight authentic bro from the streets of LA
I’m from D.C. and Eiht always been one of my favorite rappers. Him & CMW got CLASSICS and he STILL makin’ dope ass music. He played the HELL outta that role tho
I’m from northern va, i feel you on that champ
As a huge CMW and Eiht fan in '93, I think we all anticipated "Wax" waxing somebody!!!
“Nothin but the gangsta, it’s nothin hit the gangsta”
MC Eiht played the hell outta that role. But first time I saw a desert eagle was the movie 48 hours part 2 in 1990...
He sure did I couldn’t believe it
They first started showing up in movies as far back as 1985. Magnum Research’s own web site claims that the Mickey Rourke film “Year of the Dragon” is the first movie to feature the Desert Eagle.
"This mafucka still moving...BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!"😂😂😂
I'm from DC, We Fuxk Wit Ehit !! He is In my top 20 Favorite 💯💯
LL is a good actor 2 In 2 Deep was a hit as well
Yeah he showed his ass in that movie 💯 one of the best performances I've seen of a drug dealer movie
You ain't no cop J-Reed lol
True, so much talent in that movie💎🎯🥂
Any given Sunday
1st black man to survive a horror flick
Me always being a MC EiHT fan…I remember being pissed at DJ Quik for saying that “Movie Script killer line” in Dollars & Sense…Lol I think after that MC EiHT probably was like’ I ain’t doing nomore of these movies😭💯
😂 I didn't want to bring that up. I'm a fan of both. The line wasn't true, but the bar killed Eiht
Eiht was an absolute savage in that scene. He did a super great job 🫡.
"Gimme my motherfuckin' joint!"
When they made the barel metal sounds at the end 🤣
How is that great acting if you're a gangbanger playing a gangbanger 🤔🤣🤣
How I answered the phone in the 901's........ddjjjjeeaaahh!
Desert Eagle looks dope, but it’s impractical as hell.
It still shoots bullets right ? Oh okay
@@Letsgo-ch8yrbarely them things are unreliable especially for their price point lol
@@sincerehoopstar410 have you shot every desert eagle most malfunction are dude to the shooter. If someone black I can see why if won’t work
@@Letsgo-ch8yr No I have not shot all desert eagles, have you shot the desert eagle at all? I’ll excuse your ignorance. Those of us in the 2A community can confirm that desert eagles are unreliable. Their springs are horrible which cause the tool to fail to go back into battery. 🤷🏾♂️
@@sincerehoopstar410 that’s great I’ve been shot and been in shootouts in my line of work in Detroit. I could care less what you think about any gun. You would probably fold up in any real situation.
I was a 13 year old white kid from South Carolina in 1994, with 8HYPE wrote on the front of my bookbag! MC Eiht was soo cool to me
What part of s.c you from
@@midnightmorada2678 Anderson SC
Lol loved the synced laugh, that yeah you know laugh 😂
8 played that role 💯.🤘🏾👌🏾 🚩.
In San Antonio back then a Desert Eagle hit you for $999.00 at the Eisenhauer Flea Market. They had the .50 cal
"San Antonio Jus Lyke Compton" one of the best Hip Hop producers rapped that 30yrs ago. Charles Barkley has a different view of San Antonio, lol because of the woman biglol 😭
Damn i got cousins that stay down the street from the flea market. Im from NC.
You can get most things for the low low in San Antonio lol , yo get some gumbo or food from my grandmas creole restaurant right next to fort Sam off new braunfels right near the freeway ! Ma Harpers Creole Kitchen ! Salute
@@Mrwilliamblastayy if I'm ever out in San Antonio I'm gonna check your people's spot out. Much success to grandma and her restaurant
@@TrackHustlersENT appreciate that ✊🏿
Mc Eiht dropped a classic I was feeling it all the way in NJ.
The 38 special in the beginning was a 6 shooter but kanes dad shot dude 8 times 😂😂😂
That's funny cuz I was just watching Denzel first murder scene in Equalizer 3 and he had a 6 shooter and show nuff shot about 10 times thru dude eyeball/head. 😂😂😂
😂
@@SMOOTHCUTPRODUCTION 💯😂
Ol Tat Lawson
I had to go look up Petrol when he told them busters they serving caine in the hood all day and didnt have Snaps on the Petrol.
Punk glass IGGA! COME ON IGGAS!
My only question is why ain’t you help Caine move where was you at ? They needed more Guns it was Just O Dog gun
In the trailer you see stacy, ronnie, and lil anthony talking to police after caine death but that wasn't in the movie
I’ve loved this movie since I was a kid. McEight was my favorite. I memorized all his lines in that movie. He reminded me of the Crips I dated back when I was young at that time LOL 😂
“Aye homie you need some help”😂I love MC EIGHT💯💯💯
You remind me of the hoodrats who couldn't spell.. it's MC Eiht. Get it right
Hey homie, you need some help?.
Man I left the movie theater at 13 years old from watching Menace to Society feeling like I was the illest!! We didn't know 8 personally and was like that's the Big Homie💪🏿💯
I felt the same way after I first the movie too. I went around saying "who got snaps on the petrol?" anytime somebody needed to get gas.🤣
Dessert Eagles came out in 83, the first time I saw one was in the first RoboCop when the white dude pointed it at ED209....
Yeah, they were wrong about that. The movies “Year of the Dragon” and “Commando” (both released in 1985) are the first movies to feature the Desert Eagle. I’m sure that the gun that Eiht used in the movie was a new production model, but the gun itself had been around for a decade by the time “Menace” hit theaters.
OG MC EIHT#1
When he said that about not making him a comedian i immediately thought of ice cube LOL
I'm a fan of Mc ehit he is a cool rap singer I like his music .
We come strapped💯🫡
Shout out to my cousin Saafir who played the role of cousin Harold in the movie 💪🏾
Mitch & 8 ✊🏾❤️💙
FRFR 💯 they should have had more of him in the movie
Right. His character just disappeared after the going away party.
I was 11 years old when i first saw this movie in theaters 😬
“Should have came to the Waxx and did it much better “
Eiht say I need dat! Got to have me one lol😂🤣💪🏿. Thats probably where on def wish lll where he referenced the desert eagle part. DONT FUC WIT EIHT
Mos Def go watch 16 blocks Eiht did that tho
Definitely want a D’Eagle now even more 😂💯
MC Eiht was the mfin shit in Menace. True OG scenes.
Menace 2 Society Is one of my fav Movies
Mine To
Yeah, but he was really good as Ryda on GTA
I'm a NY'r and my favorite West Coast group aside from NWA is Compton Most Wanted and South Central Cartel. I have all their albums. My favorite CMW joint is "One Time Gaffled Em Up".
Eiht shot him 8 times (no pun intended) in Menace II Society, not 10 times. If you watch the movie Thicker Than Water, Eiht shoots the guy in the alley the exact same way. Three shots, a pause and then five more shots to finish him off. He even says something similar to what he said in Menace after he kills him.
They gassing Eiht up like a muhfuh. Eight did his thing in Mennace, but he was COMIC RELIEF in Thicker than Water. Pac is the greatest rapper/ actor. Common is close, and RiP, DMX wasn't given great roles but his potential for greatness was always there. I love Cube, but Cube is Cube in EVERY movie💯
Eiht has songs on Menace ll Society and Boyz N Da Hood soundtracks
I remember I met mc eight in corona when he was coaching his son flag football gam, n his son team was the giants n my nephew was the steelers. It was the first game n my nephew team won.
Caffeine he is 1. menace to society 2.players club 3. Tales from the hood . Set it off. 4. Choices 2. And much more !
I’ll take south central over set it off
HEY ! They Eiht was the only one “ SMOKIN’ REAL WEED “ in that scene before they did that revenge killing for Harold.
That role wasn’t a far reach for Eiht.
I started listening to Eiht when I went away to college in ‘93. CMW, Music to Drive By. He was cold.
Yup, when I seen Eiht in Menace, i became a super fan
2pac couldn't play Eiht role as good as he did it.
Pac wasn’t supposed to play that role; he was supposed to be Sharif. A-Wax was actually supposed to be played by MC Ren, but he dropped out, and Eiht took over the role instead.
Mc eiht is underrated actor i respect his decision not doing comedy films and selling himself i respect that🔥
So I just kept dumpin' bink bink bink! 🤣🤣🤣
8 an slick both legends cpt an Diego finest
I want to McNair elementary on El Segundo, and Compton back in 1992, I am from Lynwood California
😂 like Chris Rock said to Luda about Hustle n Flow, N you played yourself 😂
Eiht did his thang.. He played the proper O.G. in a certified hood classic
Remember opening scene, o dogg killed the store owners, if u pay attention, you can see the camara crew in the mirror inside the store.
Eiht was still in the hood in 93’ 😂 that was probably the easiest role he ever had nicca was just him self lol
You really don't have to act to be in school. you can watch acting skills in the streets I wonder do he still got that gun
“Pump my shit” when the at the gas station 😂 “YALL slingin all the shit in the hood and y’all ain’t got no money” (or somethin like that)
Pac's best acting was in Juice. The other shit was alright. Being honest.
Pay me in bud
Love from the bay I see you slick!
It would be dope if you can get DJ MIKE T on the podcast and talk about studio sessions and stories of when you guys would go on tour etc 🎤🎧 ✌🏼
"BOTH OF YALL ACTING LIKE SOME B$TX%"😂😂😂
Yeah that was a big ass gun he had in that movie though I ain't going to lie I ain't lying about that that barrel was big and long and everything when when I was in the car when I seen the movie when they was in the car and he was telling them old dog about about Al Green tape and he was in was like man you should have came to the wax boy he was much better or something like that he had that big desert eagle in his hand but that was a big ass gun especially when he got the clip on dude in the parking lot and he had to do that he wasn't playing
Israeli 50. Caliber Desert Eagle is a beast 🔥
ah shit 1 tyme !!! everybody wanted to be Awax
He killed that role!!!!
Eiht playing candy crush 😂
Legendary Eight
Is that mitchy slicc ?
Yea
(Creepin) Aye Homie u need sum help
Eight say I just kept dumpin 😁
