Yes I’m an addict and I have cptsd I have only just learned about how much my trauma has affected my life and reactions to triggers call it living in the present but thinking in the past or reacting unconsciously to the trauma from my past
I’m having EMDR which has sort of put screenshots of my life as a child and put them through the washing machine so now I can visit certain memories without the uncomfortable pain and emotions that were attached to it and it has helped me build boundaries and understanding of my behaviour and how I was emotionally immature
I am a work in progress but I’m not in denial or blaming the weather for a reason to use anymore
