I didn't remap the mouse buttons unfortunately. I tried reaching out to the seller for advice and never got a response. I did use the Power Toys app to remap the two keys to be various shortcuts (Like tab for coding). But haven't gotten the mouse buttons back.
So, how do we fill in the "to be filled in by OEM" field in settings? I'd love to be able to remember the name and model number of the manufacturer without having to google around ...

I have a question, I bought this laptop without a hard drive and now I can't get it to turn on, the Intel logo only appears for a few seconds and it turns off. I need help please.
@@S-TechnologyIt's very strange, the problem disappeared just as it appeared, out of nowhere. But I still have a question. I updated everything that can be updated in Windows 11 but I still have no audio and no touch screen :D
@@cleversantillan The touchscreen and audio seem to be common issues. Go to slagle-Tech.com, look for the forum section and take a look at mini laptop area. There's a link to the signed drivers along with tutorials to fix some of the issues.
I know there is an issue with some of the drivers for the touchscreen and sound not being restored with a new install. If it’s asking for those go to the “mini laptop” forum at Slagle-Tech.com. I have links for those.
hi! Liked and subscribed. I enjoyed your video. who could resist with a great title like this? I mess with computers. I just finished a desktop last month. for this month, I decided to teach myself how to work on laptops, so I just bought 5. three of which supposedly work. 2 do not. @Kemble Gilstrap I use a HP daily. Check out the HP support page. I was able to enter my laptop make and model and found some helpful info before I opened it up and upgraded it.
I’ve heard that people have been able to get Linux working but the touchscreen and sound drivers don’t transfer over. (For windows or Linux) You have to either save them before or get them after the fact.
I've seen small ones for things like Raspberry Pi's, but even those seem too large to fit inside the casing on this mini laptop. Now if the battery stops holding a charge, then it wouldn't need to be portable and that could be interesting.
I bought this laptop and installed a new wn 11 but I have the issue with the mouse left and right click (not working after new os) how do you solve this?
Sadly I haven't yet. I have a Bluetooth mouse I bring with it. I tried the BIOS and Power Toys keyboard manager and had no luck so far. The factory/seller remapped the "clear" key to be left mouse & "apps/menu" key to be right mouse. But they don't respond.
@@S-Technology I have made a downgrade on my unit to Windows 10. Made an image of the disk with Linux and made a driver backup with dism in Windows 11. To get back the mouse key functionality in Windows go to the old Control Panel, Ease of Access Center, go into the "Make the mouse easier to use" setting. Check "Turn on Mouse Keys, Apply and go into "Set up Mouse Keys underneath. Switch in the Other settings section, make sure "Use Mouse Keys when NUM LOCK Is" to Off. Now the mouse buttons behave like before after a reinstall. This is a very ugly hack from the vendor. I would prefer to somehow map these keys more natively.
Mainly so I can be more familiar with Windows 11. I kept everything Windows 10 for myself. But I got my wife a new PC at Christmas and figured I needed to become more familiar with it.
Most of them will install after windows reinstall. Touchscreen and sound need divers copied from PC BEFORE reinstall. Keyboard Mouse buttons won't work after a reinstall.
Good day. Could you advise how you recovered the sound and touchscreen? I have a similar laptop, if not the same, and after doing the fresh install of Windows 11 I still can't get sound or touchscreen to recover. All of the Windows Updates have installed already. Thanks.
I backed up all the drivers to a USB prior to reinstalling Windows just incase. I don’t remember using it with mine. Did you update all the additional drivers through windows? Update everything that lets you update and then run it again. It seems to take a few checks to find everything.
@@S-Technology I unfortunately did not back up the original drivers. I did all the standard windows updates and all the optional with no luck. When you go into device options it doesn’t even show and option for sound or audio. Thanks
If you have the same mini laptop then send me a email. Jarvis.s.inc@gmail.com I’ll see if I can set up a google drive link or something so that you can get a copy of the drivers I have.
It is okay for light use. But with light internet use (using wifi) and utilizing a Bluetooth mouse you are looking at about 3 hours use. If you can turn those off you can save some battery usage. Games suck the battery up pretty quickly. Minecraft for example, lasts about 1 1/2 hours before the battery saver turns on. If you are okay with carrying a decent sized power brick with it (the one it comes with) it might be useful. It's a accessory, not a main PC unfortunately.

"ShitBox9000" - BRILLIANT! ROFL!!!! Let me prefix by stating that I love small form-factor PC's. Cratered it and installed Windows 95 on it, and it worked GREAT until the OS updates made it unusable. Tried putting Ubuntu on it - that worked for a while, but Linux requires (still does) a LOT of intervention. I have a MS Surface Go laptop (now) running Win11, but the unit is 18 months old and the updates are starting to push the hardware from acceptable to slow.
It’s a good toy to tinker with. But it can’t be a reliable only pc for most people. I did that with the Eee-pc in college but had access to full sized machines at home or at the college. Yeah that’s why I ended up getting this little guy. I had a windows tablet that was fine for awhile, but started getting slower and slower with each windows update that rolled out.
I just want to say... I died laughing when the screen was sideways. After all the jokes people make about "I installed Linux and the screen was only a little upside down," I felt vindicated. But I think one thing a Windows and Linux user can agree on... it's probably the hardware's fault.
@j young haha, yeah I actually wasn't expecting it.. figured it would either turn on normally or not at all. It's definitely the hardware choices on this device.
the RISC-V version of this laptop was shipped to me around Christmas 2023, and after I screwed the boot sector, I can confirm it is rather a limitation and flip it back to the right way up (including the touch screen) is absolutely do-able
kind of wants to see what's inside the BIOS
It had more options than I thought it would for a cheap pc.
How did you remap the Keys?
if it didnt cost so much for what you get, this could definitely be a fun little machine to have
