The K&N enclosed air box design helps protect the filter and inlet air from the heat of the engine bay, and the air box lid allows for quick and easy access to the filter without tools. Also, a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. This is what makes the difference when buying the whole kit rather than just swapping out the filter! Thanks for watching.
@@vivid_racing I get all that, but how much extra horsepower/torque is created by that is my concern due to the price difference. May or may not be worth the extra expense for some. I already have their filter in the stock box and I'm sure in itself, increases those numbers. Have bought stuff from you guys before. Keep the videos coming, just subscribed so I won't miss anything.
@@vivid_racing does the top opening on intake equate to heat soak from the engine? Or, it is such a small amount of that it doesnt make a difference in performance?
It is in fact a 2.7L. If you have any questions regarding the modifications for the Bronco, feel free to email sales@vividracing.com for further assistance! Thanks for watching Jack.
completely off topic i noticed you have 37 inch tires.. and no lift gate reinforcement bracket for the spare/ Everything im reading is saying you need one. Have you had any issues with the spare vibrating or the gate being affected?
How does this affect turbo spool noises? I'm looking for mods to do to increase my turbo noises, any suggestions? And if so, what can I do/ buy to maximize noise for the turbos? open to suggestions
@@vivid_racing It's just a WILD Torque claim, I checked a half dozen of these kits and the claims they make and non are over 10 tq at the wheels. The title of this video is wildly misleading and you should make a correction to say that K&N + VR TUNING BOX equals that gains you indicate on the thumb picture. Additionally you don't talk about what map you had it on because in another video the claims Vr makes for the lvl 7 map are 54 hp and 100 tq.. So how is that a K&N CAI + a VR tune only equated to 45 tq gain? I was seriously ready to purchase the VR tuner for the 2.7 but now your lack of transparency and eagerness to mislead people have cast serious doubt. With that said I am open to discussion to restore my confidence in VR tune.
I'm sorry you felt mislead, but we like to tune with all our mods to ensure we are running as efficiently as possible. We appreciate your viewership though.
Straight up lies getting those numbers from a K&N. We already have CAIs installed from the factory. You wont get much (if any) increase other than tuning. You'd get just as much increase adding a K&N filter to the factory CAI as you would replacing the whole factory CAI.
There was no lie told here friend. This was dyno proven results. The K&N Intake + our VR Tuned Tuning box produced great results! Even on a 100+ degree day in the summer.

Any info about power boosts from same add-ons to 2.3L EcoBoost?
Curious what the difference would be by simply swapping the filter in the stock box with a K&N verses this kit.

Forget filters, get a tune man or piggyback. Timing with good fuel is where youll find lots of power for cheap

You guys sold me.
So now I've done the ford performance tune and flowmaster exhaust your saying get k&n to get even more?
Absolutely and our tuning box. Link in description
Does this intake prevent water intrusion the same as the stock intake while off roading ? Thanks
It does! The only way you can mess it up is if the intake is fully submerged, but you'll have bigger problems at that point, LOL!
8:39 is hilarious.
Hey! Where did the 3.5 liter come from?
Did I say that????
3.5L? Can't be can it? Should be 2.7L?

We have not had any issues with that so far!
What mount are you using for the lights on the front bumper?
That's Front Bumper Light Bracket from VR Performance. You can purchase from Vivid Racing.
This is no longer a cold air intake. The K&N filter element would do the same performance.
What’s the wheel and tire setup ?
The wheels are our very own VR Forged D14 20x8.5 in matte black, wrapped in some 35" Toyo M/T Open Country tires.

blow off valve, Intake, different material piping will make it sound different, I believe aluminum is the loudest. 👍🏻
SoCal Jose needs attention his daddy never gave him
what exhaust is on this vehicle?

Not a 2.7??😮
45+ torque off an intake 😂😂😂 I need some of yalls drugs you're on! 😂😂😂😂
Those are still my dream set of wheels for my Bronco but they're so freakin' pricey 😭
We are running a 20% off sale right now! Cop them while you can.

Can you still run 87 octane?
Not if you want to make power
Yes, but performance is proportional to the octane
Ive seen a few of these vids but haven't seen this question mentioned: Does it void the warranty and is it 50 state legal? Assuming 'Yes' and 'No' 😅
Yes it's legal in all 50 states, and no it shouldn't void your warranty, but those decisions are usually left up to the dealership!
There goes your warranty!
Depends on the dealership, we've had no problems with our warranty!
Title is misleading, tune is really making the difference. First impressions with just an intake.
