I'm not an American muscle car fan, but I was very impressed by the flatplane crank GT 350r. Ive been telling you people for years, that car is the best one Ford built and will be very valuable in years to come.
if this was 400+lb lighter with suspension focused for the track and water injection ala GT2 RS(porsche) then it would look less like a whipple mustang with a fairing kit and wheels .
Personally, I think the GT350 should be an NA car built for street track with the R being even more track ready. With the Super Snake, you are leaving no room for a GT500. However, this car, or any other Mustang variant is sort of doomed due to lack of tuneability. This is on Ford. Now, people buy these cars looking for a future collectable, a factory warranty, or don't have the ability to create their own. Ford did set a high bar with their GT500/GT350.
The light weight + flat plane v8 was the primary appeal to the GT350. Replacing with an engine from a mustang GT deviates from the pedigree. Not a vette fan but the Z06 is more appealing seeing the GT350 is just another mustang with a different badge.
I have a 2020 GT350 Heritage and looks more special than what’s out right now . The dark horse looks more special than the 2025 Shelby. Even then I wouldn’t trade mines for a dark horse.
This creates a great opportunity for performance shop to expose this packaging and marketing scheme. A good performance shop could offer packages and show what they can do to build a GT just as good as this for far less.
If Shelby America had a custom unique twin turbo kit that was tuned / unlocked with the help of Ford; as well as an updated tremec with an upgraded cluch ect.. that would be something more unique. Also, with 120k plus, they should take a part and build the coyote with their own unique recipe. Just slapping a whipple on a gt engine doesn't cut it anymore.
I'll stick to my 2020 ZL1 1LE, I'm a mustang fanatic hell I own 2016 gt350 and a 2014 GT500, but this pony ain't offering nothing worth it's price or better than my 2020 1LE.
100% agreed. I was hyped when I saw the news but then saw it’s just a booster 5.0, I decided to pass. I mean I’d get one in a few years over a standard GT, but I’m waiting for the new GT500. I had a 2017 GT350 and it was the most phenomenal car I’ve ever had. I might get another one later on too but we’ll see…
His opinion about it is duly noted but on that same token, say it did like 6:55³⁷ around Nurburgring I wonder if it would change🤔😉😆😆😆 plus it looks better than the GTD although it is a beast and very impressive at that doing 6:57 itself with Multimatic Adaptive Spool Salve dampers, in my opinion humongous spoilers look juvenile. Use splitters and diffusers with distinctive ingenuity that creates immense downforce so that your adaptive spoiler does it have to be so massive. Don't get it wrong though that GTD is sweet as f with the last three letters of Chuck😆😆😆 but downsize that gott dayumm spoiler
🤔....Naw I just took another look and I gotta take a THAT ALL BACK that GTD is sick as fuck it needs to keep that damn spoiler but still though he cannot down play that Shelby like that I bet you it would smoke it (the GTD) in the quarter😏
I blame you 350 fan boys i mean girls who can't seem to let it go see ford now even shelby american everytime competition seems beat they start tryna do track focused mustangs but the newest gt500 already showed why we need it at all times and it was king of drag and track over chevy and dodge gt500 all the way now look zr1 already taking that while the htd wanna just be track focused tho I will say people sleep on just the super charged 5.0 that had been seen going neck and neck with a mclaren 720 insane but ima just say this not only is this gt350 uglier than the regular super snake but for me it's not what we want right now 🤦🏿♂ but atleast somehow in video they made the supercharger whine come out a bit
They own the rights to the name and they have made a business decision that is going to alienate more customers since it is way to close to a Super Snake but way too far fron the general concept of a 350. With Ford offering factory backed supercharging for a track oriented Dark Horse as well they are quickly losing ground with even hardcore enthusiasts.
Good looking car. Not worth the price obviously. You’re paying for the Shelby badging. There are still plenty of 2024 new GTs available nationwide. You can get some pretty good discounts. Buy a GT premium with the performance package and active exhaust. Have a Whipple installed. Save yourself thousands.
YES, the uniqueness is what I love about my 2014 GT500 Track-Pack! Only 2 years the 5.8 engine was available & the same w/the 5.2 in the '15-20 GT350 😈 😈 It's not just this 350 but the new Supersnake too. They look cool, but it's simply NOT special 😥 Fail, IMO 🤦
Might be a controversial opinion but I think the 13-14 mustangs were the best and they have gotten worse every generation since. Don’t get me wrong I still love all the generations of mustangs but they just don’t do it for me the same way the 13-14s did.
Its not naturally aspirated, how the heck is it a GT350? I agree with SP, be very skeptical of this car...$65K for what exactly? No specs no nothing, come on Shelby American you can do much better than that....!
I think it’s ridiculous. These cars are way overpriced and anybody can put a supercharger on a Mustang look at TJ Hunt isn’t he getting sued by Ford because he made his version of the GDT
S550 GT360 & Super Charge it if I had to go with the Super Charger, otherwise Mac1 Handling Pack, they have more Front end Downforce. 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🌲🌲⛰⛰ The best car i'll ever own is my 2022 Roush Mustang with the Tremec Rev-Match 6 Speed Manual Transmission, Magneride Suspension, & Intercooled Limited Slip Torsen Rear Differential, the Same as the GT500, and it's because Roush Performance gets the Mach1 Handling Pack and Up tunes it. Both Shelby American and Saleen Start with the BASE Mustang GT, which means they Lack all the Performance Features my Roush
2020-2022 GT500 is the best bang for your buck.
Old GT350 prices are about to go UP
SuperSnake>>>GT350, but I am stoked to see this in person on Sunday.
I don't think it's a step anywhere. It's just the same old thing
I'm not an American muscle car fan, but I was very impressed by the flatplane crank GT 350r. Ive been telling you people for years, that car is the best one Ford built and will be very valuable in years to come.
I agree - people want performance and Shelby is offering "performance" without giving a single performance metric. What's the 0-60, 60-0, 1/4 mile?
Did you find out what the carbon fiber tub was?
I would rather get a GT500
No flat plane crank?
I know right...... i wish that they did the voodoo engine with a whipple. like 750hp sweet spot.
if this was 400+lb lighter with suspension focused for the track and water injection ala GT2 RS(porsche) then it would look less like a whipple mustang with a fairing kit and wheels .
Speed Phenom Great Video I think it's crazy that Ford is charging so extra for the 2025 Shelby GT350 and I think it should be around 70-80k

Tuneability is only available to a select vendors and it's only for boosted (supercharged) applications. I wonder why?🤔
BTW, the tub is the floor pan/ sound proofing removed but only in an R. I’m at Barrett all week. Look for the Bullion Truck
S197 foreva
Bro so glad you said what needs to be said! Same stuff with new badge is all. Dodge did make alot of money doin the same thing tho 🤔
All Shelby Mustangs will go up now.
The light weight + flat plane v8 was the primary appeal to the GT350. Replacing with an engine from a mustang GT deviates from the pedigree. Not a vette fan but the Z06 is more appealing seeing the GT350 is just another mustang with a different badge.
Right it should be around 75-85k.
I have a 2020 GT350 Heritage and looks more special than what’s out right now . The dark horse looks more special than the 2025 Shelby. Even then I wouldn’t trade mines for a dark horse.

Just using the gt350 name. Big flop, might as we'll get a Darkhores and slap a whipple
I was hoping they were going to do a supercharged Voodoo engine.... with like 750 horspower, like a really good balance.
If Shelby America had a custom unique twin turbo kit that was tuned / unlocked with the help of Ford; as well as an updated tremec with an upgraded cluch ect.. that would be something more unique. Short cut to $$$. Shelby American has lost its cache for sure
For the price i would expect more like a better engine not needing a super charger could build a cheaper version with parts from vendors.
You right man
I'll stick to my 2020 ZL1 1LE, I'm a mustang fanatic hell I own 2016 gt350 and a 2014 GT500, but this pony ain't offering nothing worth it's price or better than my 2020 1LE.
Agree!
if you absolutely want it? go get it.
100% agreed. I was hyped when I saw the news but then saw it’s just a booster 5.0, I decided to pass. I mean I’d get one in a few years over a standard GT, but I’m waiting for the new GT500. It's amazing how Chevy made a car for fans but didn't advertise. Now Ford isn't listening to fans but it's advertising.
A mustang gt with a whipple
Then the guy punches it and wraps it around a pole as the back end tries to pass the front end.
GT350 by name only. This car is kind of a joke for the price and what you get.
Just different badging for a GT500.
Why you don't have opinion? Scary from ford/shelby blacklist 😂
He clearly gave his opinion. Scary from Ford? What does that mean?
@@PinballGC 8:30 - clearly states he has "no opinion"
watch the video before you say anything, clearly have a opinion
I don’t Understand how the Dark Horse has a Tremec Manual but the New Shelby Doesn’t 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

tens of thousands!
This has a body kit, BMR suspension parts, and a whipple for $100k.. this is not a GT350.
YES, the uniqueness is what I love about my 2014 GT500 Track-Pack! Only 2 years the 5.8 engine was available & the same w/the 5.2 in the '15-20 GT350 😈 😈

All they are doing is following the Lambo model. Keep making variants with minor differences to drive consumption. Sales go UP.

Nobody cares about the name, they care about the CAR the name is attached to.
This is a sticker and badge car. 100k for a gt Mustang with a blower, Hard PASS!
Meh. Very meh. Just make a Voodoo 3 Ford. Give the people what they want.
I think it’s ridiculous. These cars are way overpriced and anybody can put a supercharger on a Mustang look at TJ Hunt isn’t he getting sued by Ford because he made his version of the GDT
Fail
