In OBS, what settings do you have for recording the video? (format etc.) - I'm looking for the right setting to be able to scrub/cut that quickly in FCPX like you! Thank you
.mov In FCPX you can look under view in the viewer and select better performance to speed it up. Speed will also depend on your computer. Lowering the bit rate will also speed it up.
@@Jcwphoto Thank you; .mov is just a container, do have any more settings for the actual codec? Are you using a OBS Plugin like the ffmpeg plugin or something? Performance of the Mac is not an issue - this is a widely known problem with the streaming-formats OBS offers out of the box and FCPX not being able to process them in a nice way; Many users convert the recordings to ProRes before cutting with FCPX but a cut-friendly recording in first place would save so much time
@@Jcwphoto Hey i think i've found out! At least the OBS Version i have has an option to switch to ffmpeg-parameters. From there i can select .mov like to wrote and choose h264 (or even prores if i like). I did a quick test and it works! Importing such file can easily be edited with FCPX. Thanks.
Atticted Television specs seem fine. Are you using final cut pro or another app. There also could be a conflict somewhere . Lowering your bit rate in settings might help. I think i had 25000 try. 15000 and see if that helps.

@@BorisNienke Hi! I facing this problem of the FCPX not hadling well the OBS files. Can you tell me a little more of what you did to solve it?
When I import from OBS I get the pinwheel of death if I try to scrub through the video
What computer do you have. Year, processor, RAM and graphics card.

John Whitehead Images lower in OBS? It’s set to 2500 in mine
Yeah that shouldn’t be an issue at 2500. OBS might have a support forum. I would try that. They might know of a conflict or issue.
