What an amazing episode, beautiful home, and great host. I must say, the cherry on top was the serenity of you both sitting at the end and then....... THE DOG! Love it all!
How wonderful that Pentillie is helping the veterans. I am a veteran myself and although I did not serve during time of war, I have friends that did and a son, so I am very grateful that places like Pentillie exist and they are of help. Thank you!
There were so many great moments in this video! The war memorial in the wall - I love how they kept it as part of a tribute to veterans, as well as the Kitchen Garden being used by veterans to help heal. The help you gave with the leaf blower was entertaining! The mausoleum, and the Red Book were unforgettable too; as well as the early morning swim! You are definitely braver than me, even with your fear of cows. :) The family were so welcoming and fantastic while sharing the history of the Castle, as well as their ancestors. Wonderful! ❤❤😊
I appreciate how you have long scenes that focus on one subject. You are not afraid to jump in and help in projects to show us how things are done. I like how you show views of the grounds from above.
The efforts toward helping in war time needs to be brought forward...a phenomenal achievement for the country with a heritage that is still useful , incredibly priceless.
I always come away with a new wealth of knowledge of ancestry, plus your videos feed my guilty pleasure of enjoying historic architecture and design. It is clear you love sharing your passions with us. Thank you!!
My great grandfather's family hailed from Devon & I was fortunate to visit it in 1987 thanks to my Great Aunt needing a companion to come over with her, she was 87 at the time having been born in May 1900. My sister came as well & drove the car for us & we spent a few wonderful days seeing the countryside & staying in a 15th century farmhouse on one of our stays & in a 17th century cottage with the straw roofing. A wonderful time with lots of great memories & stacks of photos & postcards to scrapbook - well over 400 & so two HUGE albums to store it all in.
This might be my favorite castle visit in the channel so far. Maybe because I watched the Rescue episode filmed years ago. So great to see that family thrive!
Hi i am from Sikkim 🇮🇳.. and this was the most fun episode ever… The history , Sir JT..,the Leaf blower scene… it was just amazing.. i absolutely loved it
That"s how we used to make our beds in the army, yes I was in the WRACS a long time ago. Now I use the technque for my beds, makes for nice, neat corners.
Another interesting video, Thank you, Julie. Learned to make “ hospital corners” in my Jr High Home Ec class. BTW Ladies of London can be viewed on Hulu. And you are so thoughtful and kind- some of the others are pretty rough!
We have the slows in the states but as I remember it’s a red liquor.. hence the sloe gin fizz… had one too many in collage and haven’t touched them in 28 years! lol…when it’s made into the liquor it’s sweet… hence the over indulgence in collage, lol😂
I think it would be appropriate to make mention in your description that this is a repeat instead of changing the title and putting the same video on UA-cam again. It’s disingenuous and not very respectful of your subscribers or your audience.
I have never seen this video, so for you to say it is not very respectful is inappropriate. If you’ve already seen the video, don’t watch it, but be respectful to folks who are new to the channel🙂 Thank you👍🏻
@@wdjones4735that was a very respectful comment I think it’s normal to have more than one opinion and if you don’t agreee or have a different opinion that’s okay too. You should hold space for people to express how they feel when it’s done respectfully without casting judgment
Such an amazing heritage and what an amazing place. Kudos to this family for the wonderful work they are doing with veterans and soldiers! God Bless!
What a wonderful episode. You capture the essence of the people and the history beautifully. Such a joy to watch.

Saw this house on a different programme years ago- nice to see them still in business!

It’s so fun watching you guys dressed so nicely trying to start that leaf blower! 😅❤

Your music selections are perfect. This is great stress relief. I am a nurse and today is a recovery day between two arduous work shifts. Thank you.
Fantastic place, rich in history. You can always learn something new.

It’s called mitered corners, all nurses learn how to do that. Great video!

That house is in a magnificent location.
This was art. Thank you Julie.

So much history is awesome! Love Learning about the past and present is great. Love learning about history etc.
At my wedding we gave all the guests little bottles of bubble soap and they all blew bubbles at the end of the outdoor ceremony. No mess to clean up!
Haha that is the cutest thing! I love that! Love from Australia
I used tiny bundles of bird seed. Nothing to clean up and my wedding reception guests loved it. I hope the birds did too.
Absolutely love this episode, thank you x
Fun fact! You are not allowed to get rid of standing stones in Scotland
Your girl power scene is hilarious 😂
Julie nice video and nice history of the Castle world war 2.

Not the first time Julie has done that!

Love Julie and this channel but I also 100% agree. Very misleading
