He helped some HUGE names get off the ground, he had an uncanny eye for talent, he knew who could get famous...he was generous and really intelligent...RIP
I read that Bon Jovi has (and runs) a restaurant where you pay what you can. If you can't pay anything, you can work it off. It is intended really for homeless, but everyone is invited.
It's funny that people think Foxworthy is some bumpkin from the south. His father was actually an IBM executive and Jeff worked in mainframe maintenance at IBM for 5 years.
Definitely, he's also always been real christian and he runs groups in Atlanta/GA that helps people get back on their feet. He spoke at a church I was going to for a short while and he is a real great person.
If you’re actually southern, you can tell the difference between bumpkins and the rich ones. Anyone doing standup comedy is automatically excluded from being a true bumpkin, as all the real bumpkins are at home getting drunk with their friends because they either 1) can’t afford the comedy club or 2) can’t be bothered to drive an hour to get to the nearest city big enough to have a comedy club 😂 I’m from a farming family in a rural town in Alabama and my graduating class was 30-40 kids-I know a bumpkin or two 🤠
A lot of comedians like, Jeff Foxworthy, Andrew "Dice" Clay, George Lopez, Dan Whitney AKA "Larry The Cable Guy" develop a stage character for their live shows.
Jeff Foxworthy a real hilarious human being! The blue collar comedy tour was one of the funniest things I've ever seen! I still laugh my ass off every time I watch it!

That is an odd thing to say - but I was thinking it already, so it was on my mind before I read your comment. I had to look up his birthday (1958) - and the truth is that many fifty-year old men are at their prime - so he is indeed a handsome man!
R.I.P. Rodney Dangerfield. He was an awesome American actor. Plus, that man was real funny. Just remember that stand-up comedian will always be there for everyone.
He thought he southern, his dad was an IBM executive. Jeff worked at IBM before his coworkers egged him on to do a comedy set that he won a contest for. Now he's worth a 100 million dollars and he can do whatever he wants.

Find me a comedian that didn’t look at dangerfield as an inspiration. If you do find out who their mentor’s inspiration was? Still no Dangerfield? Then they are broke and working a McDonald’s.
Rodney definitely reached back to help those who came after him.
And in return those people reached around Rodney.
He helped some HUGE names get off the ground, he had an uncanny eye for talent, he knew who could get famous...he was generous and really intelligent...RIP
Once Jeff got famous he did the same for others who came after him. And the cycle continued...
Those guys revere him. That kind of generosity pays dividends.
@@rustynail2783Especially for Ron and Larry!!!
I really appreciate Rodney's ghost uploading these bits.
Funny is a time thing.
"I get no respect, I tell ya. Even as a ghost I get no respect. I tried to spook my wife last night. I said 'BOO!' She said 'your sheet is stained!'"
Wait, he's dead? I didn't even know he was sick.
So many great comedians got their first real exposure courtesy of Rodney. Truly the greatest comedian ever.
Jeff got big and then helped other guys get opportunities, class act.
I've loved his comedy since I was 9 (i know way too early)

It's that accent, man, and years if media stereotyping. Half my relatives are from the south and im still prejudiced.

@@katyungodly yea you still don’t know what a bumpkin. You can be a rich bumpkin or a poor bumpkin.
Two legends in one video.
Rodney Dangerfield had many awesome proteges in his clubs, and one of them is featured here in fine form.

@@justinamarina3774 Rodney was one of the best comediens of all time. He was the absolute king of one liners.
Pretty sure Kinison NEVER worked clean but he was f*****g funny! Same for Robert Schimmel.
Very sharp Comedian
My mother smoked Rothmans and that is the only difference between her and Jeff Foxworthy's joke . In fact I saw her do it twice.
Dang. Comedy was so good back then.
Now people just think they're funny. There are exceptions....like Jeff Dunham.
miss mr dangerfield. he was a ACE
This is where I first saw him. Loved it.
sha11235 I was thinking the same thing! Check him out on UA-cam, him on Jimmy Fallon introducing his new card game.
