Just saw the new prices of Chanel Les Exclusives … Made me sick in the stomach… So I applaud Essential Parfums for coming out with good quality and affordable perfume. My favourites are Mon Vetiver and The Musc. My partner wears Orange x Santal and it smells wonderful on him. Greetings from Belgium
The silage from Bois Imperial must be good because every time I wear it people tell me I smell amazing. To me it doesn’t smell all that but other people invariably comment when I wear it.

Mon Vetiver, I thought, was the most intriguing. Divine Vanille seems to have been used it its entirety in Herod and Oajan by PdM and Angel’s Share by By Killian. I was just checking out the new hype that is Guidance from Amouage by Quinten Bisch and, yes, it has akilagala wood. 😅 Thanks, as usual, Mr. P!
The one with Australian sandalwood made me the most curious. The vanilla one too Now I got to the ehd of the video and there are two with Australian sandalwood which is very nice
I found mon vetiver had an icy style opening similar to malles vetiver goes in a different direction when dries down. Agree with some comments that the essential doesnt have mich lasting power
Most of them are pretty nice I just wish they lasted longer on skin, to be fair the quoted percentages are on the lower side for modern EDPs. My 2 favourite overall are probably the Orange X Santal and Divine Vanille but I also think the Vetiver and Rose are pretty good. Perfect timing! Received my sample set a little while ago and now got to smell them with you. It seems to me that at least half if not more of the scents are slightly toned down interpretations (not dupes) of quite popular scents. Magnetic rose reminding of Delina, Divine Vanille - Herod (both by Marly) The Fig infusion that wasn't in your set is rather reminiscent of Gris Charnel by BDK. The one closest to my "Beuteschema": Mon Vetiver left a chameleon-like impression on me. Sometimes I got a fleeting impression of rubber in the opening, sometimes not. The drydown sometimes seemed snuggly while other times the patchouli + something slightly sour were reminiscent of cold sweat to my nose. Mildly befuddled by such different experiences with the same scent. Didn't fall in love with any of them but thought they were all rather inoffensive & pleasant with the exception of Bois Imperial, which seemed like a rather unholy union of synthetic woods.
I think it is not perfumes for us, fragheads. It is not something what WE need but it is something that I would not be ashamed to gift to a friend or family member that doesnt know much about perfume but wants to smell something nice and good quality :)))

Yes, Imperial is in quite a different mode. Maybe they needed a ‘big’ scent.
