What a fantastic tribute. RIP, there will never be another Mors. He can not be replaced.
@Reallybigmonkey1 Thank you for putting up the link. A Good Man, sorry I never got to meet Him
Too true dave, a genuine one off. Red would of got on well with him
If a successful life mission can be measured in the amount of critical knowledge a man imparts to others, kindness and gentleness of soul and development of possibly life saving skills for many, his success is unparalleled. We are all blessed to have had this man among us.
@@robertbates6057 Amen!
He can't be replaced.... he lives on in the minds and souls of every person who was blessed enough to have met him. He lives on in the people who learned his craft and teaches his craft to this day...
He now lives on with you, sir.
Some people TAKE from society, others contribute. This man contributed everything
Thanks for the video.
Now he belongs to the ages. He will keep teaching for a hundred years easy.
A true leader and giant in the field you will be missed. Your legacy will live on in each of your students and all those you have shared your knowledge with so generously.
It is a sad day for bushcrafters, campers, survivalists and nature lovers world-wide.
I never did meet Mors, but I did know him, and yes, love him.
I'm so sad for our loss...what a man!
I'm crying as I write this...
I know what you mean. I'm taking his loss pretty hard for never meeting him.
@@prostarmansd : I tried to go back and watch a video of Mors', and twice now, since I heard of his death... I teared up and just could not watch. Partially because he reminds me of my Dad, and partially because in a sense, Mors was the father of my bushcraft experiences. Just saying...
Same here,he inspired a lot of people all over the world
I know,I live there
I learned a lot from watching his videos. Rest In Peace Sir.
Wherever Mors is now, I'm sure he sits near a warm fire, sipping tea and offering others warmth and shelter from loneliness.
RIP dear passionate pioneer...
RIP SIR
Mors Kochanski
Legend
Rest in Peace as you hike in Heaven, Mors. You are missed.
I can not think of a teacher that was better at his craft than Mors Kochanski. His spirit will live on in many ways as his body rests in peace. This world is a better place because Mors was in it.
My heart breaks. He was such a gem. His knowledge and dedication has saved countless lives. My condolences to his family. He have truly lost an icon and this loss leaves such a whole in the survivalist/SAR/wilderness community.
I couldn't imagine how hard it would have been to put this video together. thank you
Omg I had no idea 😭
Sometimes it's hard to put into words how you feel. I never met him , but have read and watched as much as I could from him. He taught me a lot and the loss will stick with me for a long while. Thank you for everything
I get the feeling that it would take most people 2 lifetimes to learn all that he learned in one. Truly a brilliant man and a great loss to all when he passed. We are blessed that he lived in a time when he had so many ways to preserve his knowledge.
Rest easy, old Mors! Your contribution to the outdoors world was immense and will always be unparallelled.
Get the coffee brewing 'til we join you!
"In the wintertime you'll need a pile of firewood you can hide a pickup-truck behind every 24 hours. If you don't believe me, I GIVE A SHIT, because it's not me who will be freezing."
Great guy, RIP Sir.
Rest in peace Mors. I've learned a lot from you and we all will continue to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you've shared. My deepest condolences to your family and friends.
this man did save my life.. lost in the woods and fortunately had just watched his pole compass video which got me "un-lost" and out of a guaranteed hypothermia situation in the Northern Ontario bush. RIP, you legend!
Dam this has ruined my day, even when ive watched 5 mins of him having a chat he has a distilled knowledge that i cant image anyone coming close to. Very sad to hear this and my sincere condolences to his family and friends..
Great man, great life, great loss
But thanks for everything
A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, he will not be forgotten.
To a wonderful man, who gave of himself so much, was such a privilege to meet you, you will be missed forever.
I wonder how many lives he's saved over the years through his efforts and dissemination of his teachings... I hope he was peace at the end of such an admirable life.
Mors grew up around Spruce Home Saskatchewan and were neighbors to my mothers family. I saw him at a two nite free presentation he did at the library in Prince Albert Sask, and was introduced to him by my uncle this was early 2000. RIP Mors
T'is a sad day indeed.... Rest in Peace Mors Kochanski, Rest in Peace.
A great man has passed, the world has lost a library of knowledge
Gone, but not forgotten!

A huge loss very thankful for all the great videos.
The more you know the less you carry.
Enough said.
God bless him and all who love him.
Rest in Peace Mors. Your teachings will live on. Great video tribute!
Thanks for the video. I think he has been the biggest modern influence on bushcraft education, and buying his book when it first came out really propelled me on to other research and survival adventures. He had a tremendous effect in his life.
He was a great man of knowledge, loved watching his videos, and will use that knowledge he taught me. I will remember him always.
One of the greatest of the craft... RIP.
A character like no other, that Mors. The wilderness weeps and we with her.
God bless and keep you such a great teacher.

The future of bushcraft is in our hands .
Mors is fondly remembered from the old Rabbit Stick get togethers and seminars . There are autographed books on my bookshelf and I have 2 cassette tapes of Mors , Chris Janowski and Ron hood talking about making cordage and baskets .
Thank you Mr. Kochanski ... from back in 1982 .
The father of bushcraft, as I know it. RIP Mors

I'm evenly sad and grateful. Rest in peace, Sir.
I am devastated. Somehow I thought I'd see Mors again. He was a great teacher, mentor and friend. He had an amazing impact on my students. I am so glad we met up in Inuvik (2:00) It was a great visit and I can't believe that we all ran out of time with this great and generous man!
Thank you for sharing that with us. It brings back a lot of memories and I appreciate that. Merry Christmas to you and may the New Year bring you solace and peace.
You taught me more than you know... the more knowledge you have, the less you have to carry... that works in life as well, Thank you, Sir! God Bless

RIP Mors ,the master woodsman💯❤️
I’d like to know who the 3 wing nuts are that gave this little testimonial of Mors Kochanski’s marvelous life & free ranging spirt, a thumb down? Some kind of anti... (anti-hunter, anti-fisher, anti-wild spaces, etc. etc. etc.) no doubt. Thank heaven for UA-cam, it introducing him to millions around the world. He had a way of coming across as one of your oldest friends through his videos. The Lord must have needed a camp mate. Rest easy Mors, you’ll be missed & thought of often.
Thank you for all you taught us. God bless you and your family and friends.
I've learned so much from Mors through his books and videos. It's really sad to see him go. RIP
Now he belongs into the unfinished journey...

Thank you for sharing with us! Now he is looking down watching us!🙏🏻
Some men of great renown sometimes build libraries to leave a legacy. Other Men fill them.
Thank you Mors.
Rip
Rest in Peace Mors. Your knowledge and inspiration lives on. Condolences to the family.
A life well lived, RIP sir.
Thanks for the Tribute. Rest In Peace, Mors. You have my deepest admiration.
Rest in piece
I haven't been online much the last few weeks so this is the first I am hearing of this. I first learned of Mors back in '99. Since then despite never having the chance to meet him, I have greatly enjoyed his writings, DVDs & UA-cam videos. He has become the most influential Wilderness living & survival instructor in my life, and much of what I have learned to him I have shared with youth as well as my own children.Though he has left us he will not be forgotten. Thank you for putting together this video of memories, and to those of you who have lost a dear friend, or mentor I hope knowing the great impact he has had on so many lives has helped you find solace with the departure of this legend. God speed Mors & my prayers for those he has left behind.
A great man. Thanks for sharing ! Rip Mors !
Rest In Peace, Sir 😇❤❤❤
Sad news. He will be missed by many!
God bless and RIP, Mors!
RIP Good Sir 🙏🙏🙏
R.I.P. Mors Kochanski.
An incredible life....Thanks for everything Mors...God speed...woods
Only the vessel is dead the soul is eternal, thanks for making these videos, I work a 70 hour week and I could never be blessed enough to get time to go to KaramatWW, but I have learned so much by these videos, I am forever grateful.
We are glad you are enjoying the videos.
HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED.
Two thumbs down?? Really?? Two people that have no idea who this man was. I wish I knew half of what this man had forgotten. R.I.P.
Don't worry about them. There are always a few depraved people who like to go around and thumbs down videos for no reason other than their own stupidity.
He will be missed but live forever thanks to his books and UA-cam 👍
Sadly a wonderful soul has been lost from the mortal world but he will live on in spirit and in our hearts as a master of bushcraft.
