10 Strongest G. I. Joe Characters Origins And Backstories - Explored In Detail

- From the epic rivalry of Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes to the dedication of fellows like Hawk and Duke, the G.I. Joes are an epic team of real American heroes that every American kid has idolized at least once in their lives. But the G.I. Joe would be incomplete without the existence of their archenemies in the form of the evil organization Cobra, led by Cobra Commander. What started off as a toy line took the shape of comics written by Larry Hama and then culminated into several cartoons. Larry dedicated twelve years of his life to G.I. Joe and developed intricately detailed characters for his work. However, the comics and the shows have very different character sketches of the major characters from both G.I. Joe and Cobra. Therefore, when we make a list of the strongest and most influential characters of this franchise, we have to consider the fact that a character that had immense importance in the comics was played off with a relatively smaller role in the cartoons and vice versa. But since comics came first and remain the original source, we have made this video by paying more homage to the comics than the cartoons. In this video, we will be exploring ten thrilling characters based on the popular opinion of the Marvelous Videos staff.

Fantastic video guys I freaking love GI Joe I mean that's my childhood and all these characters still mean a lot to me do more videos like this maybe on Thundarr The Barbarian more Thundercats stuff He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Voltron Transformers but definitely great video guys.

Lady Jaye played by Adrienne Palicki was her third Comic Character on screen, Wonder Woman and Bobbie Morse, Zartan upset the Mental health group when they said on his figurine he'd various mental health issues, Stalker was the longest created member of GI Joe having been round under the name Tom Stone in the UK Action Man team in the 70s.

Mercer, Muskrat, and Jinx are my favorite Joe's. Djbang had a great looking action figure. Noone can top Storm Shadow on the Cobra side. Great backstory and look.

Regardless of what "Critics" say this was a monumental era in cartoons..... I understand it was all to sell Merch..... but it kinda worked in reverse...... You bought the toys and you couldn't wait to see if they were spotlighted on the Show. RealTalk
I agree. People need to stop using the fact that the show was made to sell toys as a crutch. If the show is good it doesn't matter.

The difference between cartoon and comic threw me for a bit as an 80s kid. I'd started with the cartoon so imagine my surprise when I see some of my favourite toys gunned down 🤯

Cobra Commanders BROTHER was driving while drunk, hit the car driven by Snake Eye's parents, killing them and Snake Eye's twin sister. Cobra Commander's brother also died in the accident.
So, WHY did Cobra Commander feel it necessary to kill Snake Eyes, when Snake Eyes was in Vietnam at the time of the accident?
It's impossible to seemlessly tie together the live action movies, various cartoons (aside from the Marvel/Sunbow masterpiece), and all the comics from various publishers through the years. Occasionally there are plot and historical inaccuracies within each iteration. Just like how there are plot inaccuracies in real life, at times.

Damn, why Roadblock only get like a minute explained about him but everyone else gets like 5 minutes smh. Roadblock is one of my favorite Joes and he gets the least amount off time on a list about the quote on quote “Strongest Characters” when it comes to physical strength he’s either the strongest or one of the strongest easily!!! I always did like duke in some ways...made me sad when i thought they killed him(cough...went to a come due to major backlash from transformers the movie) in the TV series since i started there.....but i do like how the IDW comics...G.I joe resolute and renegades make Duke more understandable and cooler....

No. You got you origin of Hawk wrong. President Kennedy approached Joe Colton and HE was the original G.I. Joe to head a team of elite soldiers. The program was halted with Kennedy's assassination. Clayton Abernathy was who was approached by Reagan in the early 80s to re-start the initiative and recruit soldiers for the team.

I pretty much hated most of the cast in live action films. Only ones great were Ray Park. And the guy playing Storm Shadow. Worst one I could not stand was the guy who played Destro. He was a whiner and no fighter. Hope they make films more like the 1980's animated series. Loved characters on good guys and bad guys. I liked Serpentor more when he took over Cobra Commander's place. His appearance was awesome and ruthless. I liked the series Versions much better. Flint and Lady Jaye, & Sgt. Slaughter, Roadblock, Shipwreck and Snakeyes were my most favorites. Favorite villains were Serpentor, Destro, Dr. Mindbender, The Dreadlocks.

@@CUniverse there is no characteristic that requires someone to be a certain race. Black Panther being from Africa doesn't mean he has to be black look at Elon Musk. Maybe Hasbro didn't believe that creating a new black character would have been able to get over. The same way Marvel and DC believe that new black characters can't make it so instead they steal established mantles and give hand me downs and table scraps to black characters because they need their token black rip offs
@@drakependragon8439 Balck Panther is a terrible comparison because Wakanda eas always been cut off from other civilizations, meaning no other races were in thiwr country. And again, they had Marlon Wayans cast, they needed a character that did the role he was cats for, and Hasbro said sure, use Ripcord,its not like its the exact same character. This isn't as deep as you're trying to make it.
