Are you sure it's not a PMS Box? Throws a fit from time to time and usually never cooperate with user. LMAO!
@@dave8456 should be called that! 🤣
Hi the switch on top of the box is not waterproof,,,,,,,it'll get wet water will get inside ,,,,,,if you glue a waterproof boot for the switch no way water would get in,,,,,OOP'S your box isn't waterproof dude
I beg to differ. It is siliconed, dude. Thanks for watching
I have that battery box already and a batter so happy because it haves stuff for you to connect if you can use the car jack side or usb side :) My battery might not work out seeing all these differetn mods not one is my battery
Awesome!
Are you using 10 gauge wires from pwm to battery? Do you need circuit breaker 😊
@@sammyverni1094 yes, I am. The smart battery box I have has a built in circuit breaker.
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
No problem!
Having a fan in an enclosed non vented box does nothing but increase the heat within the unit.
Agreed. Any suggestions on how to make it vented while keeping it waterproof? I have yet to have any issues, knock on wood.
I have learned that the forward reverse switch is NOT waterproof. Water splashed onto mine and set the motor in reverse on both settings. Had to lean over and blow it out. Anyone else had this problem ?
@Robley35 hmm. I’ve fished in heavy rain with no problems. Check out my Lake Fork video… But maybe I got lucky?
@@LunkerHunter I kinda splashed the box on purpose to see its limits. I’m thinking of finding a rocker switch with the waterproof cover
@Robley35 That’s a good idea. Let me know how that works.
My pwm doesn’t work with my 55 lbs motor only with the 36 lbs. do you know why?
do you have the links as to where you purchased the male plugs that attach to the pwm for the battery and trolling motor and also the link to where you got the female ends that attach inside the pwm box for the trolling motor and battery?

@@LunkerHunter Thanks so much for the link!!
@@bobbywaltersinsurance9081 no problem
@@LunkerHunterI just figured how to get to all your links on what you put on the kayak. Thanks for your patience with me. If you’re ever down to Centerville tx stop by and see me.
@bobbywaltersinsurance9081 you’re welcome. Sounds good! Thanks for watching the video!
Couldn’t get the links to male/female connectors with wall ports to work. All others worked. Thx.
Sorry that didn’t work for you. This should work.

Great video , How has this setup held up for you ? I'm looking to build one here and wondering if these Amazon pwms burn up quickly ! Thanks !
So far so good! I’m in the process of making a follow up review after using it for about a year.
@@LunkerHunter Can't decide weather to rehouse the stock speed control , do a pwm conversion like you , or a hobby wing 880 esc setup . Lots of options. Look forward to your thoughts !
@@bonacci01 Do a PWM. Your motor will draw less Amps than using the stock system. My PWM draws about 30% less at full speed than with the stock tiler speed control. Less battery draw means more time on the water.
I have a PWM…
Just a question, I made my setup to a T as per this video. I had great success on the first run but the next day the fan on the pwn will turn on but the pwm won't activate the motor. Any info would help.
Make sure all your wire connections are solid. Check the knob on the pwm box that you turn for power, to make sure all the wires are connected. If this knob isn’t tight enough, and you twist it you can disconnect the small wires on it. This happened to me once. The issues has to be with the wiring, so be thorough with everything. Let me know what you find out.
Great video! I sent the video to my son who is an electrical engineer and told him get ready to build it for me. Lol
@@kennifer8262 haha. He can probably do a MUCH better job than me.
Looking to put a PWM on mine also. Got the same kayak. Love it! What PWM do you have? What’s the size of the trolling motor?
The link to the pwm and motor are in the video description. It’s a 30 lb thrust Minn Kota. Good luck on your build! It will be well worth it. Thanks for watching!
Nice work and nice video, but I'm concerned about heat build up in the plastic box at high sustained speeds. Sure the fan blows air across the PWM but then the air has nowhere to go and just recirculates while getting hotter with each pass. If heat build up becomes a problem, a metal box or a heat sink of some sort might be something to consider.
Your thought is correct, however I haven’t had any issues with overheating, knock on wood. I have fished in 100+ temps. I have considered drilling some small holes on the bottom, however I worry that would take away from the waterproofing. I have fished in pouring rain for 8+ hours and the waterproof box has saved my butt. What do you mean by heat sink?
@@LunkerHunter A heat sink is usually a finned piece of metal that is attached to a hot device in manner that transfers heat away from the hot device and dissipates the heat to the surrounding air or water - like the finned head and cylinder of an air cooled engine. Hard to see how it would work in a box though because of the need to mount the sink outside the box with the ESC/PMW inside - big leak potential! However, a water cooling copper coil might be feasible - I saw one guy using an old car window washer pump to supply water to a water cooled ESC.
@@rogerolander458 I’m just a simple guy looking for simple solutions. I don’t know half of the vocabulary you just used 😂 I’m sure you would make a killer box though! If the overheating issues happens, I’ll have to audible…
@@LunkerHunter 😀 Actually, thank you, thinking out loud about your build has given me some ideas for my future build. Good luck with yours!
How hot does it get with in sealed in the box? Great video!
Not too bad! I ran it during an al fay tournament with no issues. I haven’t used it in the 110 deg Texas heat though. Get a white box and a PWM controller with a fan.
Thanks for the detailed video. Question…what gauge wire did you use from splicing battery to SAE? 8? 10?
12 gauge. It was from car jump cable wire
How's the 50 amp battery working out so far? Just wondering if it would last all day? And have you had any trouble with the pwm?
It has lasted me all day. The longest I have used it was for a tournament, and it lasted the whole time. No issues with the PWM🤞🏻
@@LunkerHunter thanks for the video!
@@Bamaoutdoors no problem!
Just subbed, wondering how this is holding up.
Going to make a review soon, after about 8 months of using it. Pretty dang good!
New subscriber here thanks for the videos especially the motor mount and pwm set up I’m building what you built and can’t wait to get it on the water!
Thanks for the support! Let me know how it works for ya!
Fit a Voltage/ Percentage Meter to your control Box
What will this do?
Did you not need to wire up the white and yellow cables from the Endura c2? Also, did you use butt connectors within the black tubing? Thank you for this video!!! I got a lot of inspiration from it!!
I did not use the white and yellow wires. I just kept them in the trolling motor tubing. I used butt connectors and bought rubber heat shrink tubing to go over the butt connectors to seal them and waterproof them.
@@LunkerHunter you rock!!! Thank you so much!!! Love these videos, keep them coming.
@nateanderson3286 thanks! I have more good ones coming soon
New subscriber here. Nice video bro.
Thanks!
Did you need to add wire to the existing wire on the motor to reach the pwm?
@@philrock__3388 Nope
@LunkerHunter nice I just build the mount last night the rest of the parts for steering come in today
@@philrock__3388 awesome! You’ll love how it performs
@LunkerHunter I can't wait. I haven't decided if I want to go with your lifting system or bassman and bobbins. I ordered the stuff for both. Do you ever have problems with it not going high enough?
@@philrock__3388 you can’t go wrong with either. He’s actually my buddy and we did these together. We haven’t had any issues with either set up.
Pool noodles…brilliant!
🤣🤣 got this idea from other UA-camrs
Hey man what lb thrust is the trolling motor ?
30, which is plenty!
I have 45 lb min kotta , you think the 50ah would be enough to run it ?
@@achilleduronslet8460 yes
Whete do you buy the connection ports for the box?
The links are in the video description. It was from Amazon
