Nice approach! 👌 Just a quick tip - running CO2 through your canister filter might impact your nitrifying bacteria since they need oxygen to survive. Keep an eye on your tank’s parameters to make sure everything stays balanced!
@AquariumMastery Yeah, everything is spot on. I'm thinking the ppm of oxygen and co2 in the filter should be the same as the tank itself due to it circulating. It's also a filtered walstad setup so there should be plenty of the bacteria in the tank alone.
Sounds like you’ve got it all figured out! 👍 Circulating CO2 and oxygen levels make sense, especially with a filtered Walstad setup. Having extra bacteria in the tank definitely helps too. Great job balancing everything!
Thanks for the question! 😊 I haven’t done any formal CO2 or pH testing with this setup, but I’m currently using it in my moss tank. The moss is thriving, and the fish are showing no signs of stress, so it seems to be working well so far!
Hi nice video, i've tried this and everything works but the problem is that a lot of CO2 gets trapped in the upper section of the bottle and there's no way to get them solved in the water again and the only way to get them out is to flip the bottle and the CO2 will get out but will be wasted. Is there anything that I can do?
Brilliant! I was goiung to do something much more complicated... but it looks like this is perfect!!
Awesome to hear that! 😊 Glad this helped you find an easier approach.
Wow, this is actually pretty genius. Thankyou for sharing!
Thanks so much! Glad you found it helpful.
I run my co2 through my canister filter! 👌

It seems to be a great idea! Have you checked CO2 concentration and Ph with this "diffuser"?
