can i use this with pressurized co2 system as well?
Absolutely, you can! Just make sure to use a low bubble count. Since this setup traps CO2 until it dissolves into the water, you won’t need a high bubble count like you would with traditional CO2 diffusers.
Hi nice video, i've tried this and everything works but the problem is that a lot of CO2 gets trapped in the upper section of the bottle and there's no way to get them solved in the water again and the only way to get them out is to flip the bottle and the CO2 will get out but will be wasted. Is there anything that I can do?
Thanks for watching and trying it out! 😊 If you can create the water spiral effect inside the bottle, like in the video, the trapped CO2 should automatically dissolve into the water over time. Make sure the pump’s output is positioned correctly to create that vortex effect, it really helps maximize CO2 dissolution. Let me know if that works for you!
that title reminds me of something...
Haha, glad it caught your attention! 😊 What does it remind you of?
Stunning 🤩 new sub
Thank you so much! 🤩 Welcome aboard!

Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 Your support means a lot, and I’m thrilled you enjoyed the editing and transitions. More videos coming your way soon! 🙌🎥
Brilliant! I was goiung to do something much more complicated... but it looks like this is perfect!!
Awesome to hear that! 😊 Glad this helped you find an easier approach.
I run my co2 through my canister filter! 👌
Nice approach! 👌 Just a quick tip - running CO2 through your canister filter might impact your nitrifying bacteria since they need oxygen to survive. Keep an eye on your tank’s parameters to make sure everything stays balanced!
@AquariumMastery Yeah, everything is spot on. I'm thinking the ppm of oxygen and co2 in the filter should be the same as the tank itself due to it circulating. It's also a filtered walstad setup so there should be plenty of the bacteria in the tank alone.
Sounds like you’ve got it all figured out! 👍 Circulating CO2 and oxygen levels make sense, especially with a filtered Walstad setup. Having extra bacteria in the tank definitely helps too. Great job balancing everything!
It seems to be a great idea! Have you checked CO2 concentration and Ph with this "diffuser"?
Thanks for the question! 😊 I haven’t done any formal CO2 or pH testing with this setup, but I’m currently using it in my moss tank. The moss is thriving, and the fish are showing no signs of stress, so it seems to be working well so far!
Wow, this is actually pretty genius. Thankyou for sharing!
Thanks so much! Glad you found it helpful.
Is the pot terracotta?
Yes, they are terracotta!
@@AquariumMastery Thx bro, nice tank👍👍👍
Glad you liked the tank! 👍
Underrated channel
Thank you! 😊 Really appreciate the support.
You should post more videos. This is really amazing. I really love your simple tank set up❤
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the simple tank setup. ❤
not bad at all and love to try the same design but the only problem is that aqua soil is expensive :(
Thanks! 😊 If you’re going with low-tech aquarium plants, you can definitely opt for a cheaper soil substrate or even use sand with root tabs. It’s a budget-friendly way to achieve a similar look!
Sweet and simple
Thank you! 😊
Seems like he'll get bored in there pretty quickly. Calling this a "lush, planted" tank is a bit of joke. It feels sterile and is just as bad as the small tanks people use. This feels like it was made for your viewing pleasure, not for his welfare at all.
I appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. My goal is to create a healthy, enriching environment for him, and I’m always looking for ways to improve. I'll definitely take your points into consideration as I continue to work on the tank. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
My plants are potted as well. I use small glass candle holders or the quartz & the acrylic aquarium planters i found on amazon. I like the plants potted bc i can redecorate or clean around them easily. It would look cool if you put java moss on the bottom around the pots
That sounds like a fantastic setup! Potted plants definitely make things more flexible. Java moss around the pots is a great idea. I’ll have to give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion! 🌿✨
@@AquariumMastery agreed 😊 I thought of the moss when I saw you take it out of the bowl lol so I got it from u technically 😆 Very nice tank. Cp3o looks like he thinks so as well
Haha, that's awesome! 😆 Glad I could inspire the moss idea. Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure 3PO is loving his new home too!

Lock up to central prison 😂
😂 That's one way to put it! At least it's a stylish prison now with more space!
Esperemos a ver como evoluciona!!! Va genial !! 👌
Absolutely! Thanks for the support!
Really nice commentary as well as tank design. You earned sub number 380 my friend.
Thank you so much for the kind words and the sub! Glad to have you on board!
Meh actually
Your Lotus plant. IF you see a leaf stem heading for the surface, cut it at the base before it reaches the top. Other wise a majority of the next leaf stems will follow. This will force the lotus to grow more lower leaves only. Yes, an occasional one will try to get to the surface and you will have to trim it at the base.
Great advice! I'll keep an eye on those sneaky stems and trim them before they reach the top. Thanks for the tip to keep my lotus lush and low!
Crypts are amazing. You can literally cut off every leaf (all you need is the base of the plant and the roots) when putting in a new tank setup and then you don't have to worry about melt. Yes, it will take a few more days before you see leaves but none will melt. I do it all the time when planting new tanks.
That's an awesome tip! Crypts are tough little plants, and it’s great to hear how you handle the melt. I’ll definitely try that next time. Thanks for sharing!
Your videos are so relaxing and satisfying keep making videos
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm really glad you find them relaxing and satisfying.
its too much satisfying❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊❤ Glad you enjoyed it!
Prison to a gold prison
True, but this gold prison has a lot more room to swim and explore! 🐟✨
Toilet is always an option
Haha, let's hope it doesn't come to that! 😅 Trying to give them the best home possible.
Hi can I ask you to tell me where you got the bowls?
These are plastic pots I picked up from a local store. You might find similar ones in stores that sell kitchen items.
what type of bowls did u use to plnat the trees???
These are plastic pots I picked up from a local store. You can use any container with at least a 2-inch depth for root growth, as long as it's made of a material that won't leach chemicals into the water. like ceramic, plastic, or clay pots.
Prefer that the plants are planted in the tank itself then bowls.
Planting directly in the tank does give a more natural look, but this method makes maintenance much easier while still creating a beautiful environment for the betta.
What type of bowls can you use?
Larger bowls are fine to use, as long as they provide enough space for the betta to swim and thrive. Aim for at least 5 gallons to ensure a healthy environment!
Nice simple betta tank. Keep up the fantastic work!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it.
Did you use ChatGPT for your script ? - its too much!
Thanks for the feedback! 😊 I like to get a little creative with my scripts, but I appreciate your thoughts. Always trying to find the right balance!
Keep up the good work, I subscribed 🥰❤
Thank you so much for your support! We're thrilled to have you as part of our community. 🥰
Is the tank cycled? 2 weeks doesn't seem quite enough time for a no filter setup
Great question! The tank is mature enough to handle the bio load of a single betta fish. Even though it's a no-filter setup, I make sure to do weekly small water changes. Plus, since it's a bare-bottom tank, removing waste is easier and helps maintain water quality.
Whoa, feels like I travelled across the UA-cam multiverse and found a distant cousin. Awesome channel dude! 🎉
Thanks so much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the videos. Just checked out your channel. Your videos are amazing too! Wishing you all the best with your content!
Surprised the betta did not jump out of the bowl, the ammonia and nitrite would have been driving him insane!
Good point! The water level was actually lower before, and my friend did regular water changes to help manage the water quality.
Nice work !!!
Thank you!
Put a bed for him
Great idea! 😁 Maybe a little cozy leaf hammock for him to relax on. 🤔

No filter no co2 no heater!!?
That's right! In my setup, I rely on regular maintenance, natural plant respiration, and the ambient temperature of my Asian climate to keep everything balanced and healthy. It’s a low-tech approach that works well for me.
Just inherited a gold fish from my neighbor who moved away I am in the process of turning my fish tank into a natural tank
That's wonderful! Turning your fish tank into a natural environment is a great idea. Best of luck with your setup. Your goldfish is lucky to have you!
@@AquariumMastery Thank you Appreciate your knowledge
Very wrong with your setting up! Stop killing your friends by going more natural.😢
I appreciate your concern and feedback. I'm always looking to improve and ensure the best environment for my fish. If you have any specific suggestions or tips, I’d love to hear them!
Simple and beautiful 🫶
Thank you!
Beautiful 🎉
Thank you!
Really Nice tank :-) What are the dimensions of the tank? Do you have any filter?
Thank you! The tank dimensions are 30cm x 30cm x 30cm. I don't use a filter; instead, I rely on regular maintenance and the natural balance of the plants and fish to keep the water clean.
@@AquariumMastery okay looking forward to follow the projekt, I Will try to copy your aquascape.
That's awesome to hear! Best of luck with your aquascape.
Great idea for a beginner, loved the tank setup. Keep the good work going, love from India and already subscribed your channel, hope will see such innovative and practical tank setups in future. Best of luck 🍀
