- An extended suite edit of every variation of the Blake's 7 theme by the late, great Dudley Simpson - versions from the openings and closings of Series 1, 2, 3 and 4, along with the soundtrack album version and a strange edit that I've only heard once before (1:00).

So cool that end synth phase out... As a kid I remember everyone wanted to be Blake at the start, but by the end we all wanted to be Avon.

I don't know what your profession is, but this is one of best piece's of music editing I've heard. Totally seamlessly with the music sounding like it came from the same recording sessions and a written arrangement.

For 4 season this show gave the BBC a reason why to support the corporation.
The openings and theme is as memorable as the Twilight Zone. The Outer Limits, Star Trek, Doctor Who, the X-Files, and Stranger Things.
This is the hardest theme to find remixes of on youtube... that used to be able to buy on cassette!
The season 4 version of the theme was if they had asked the light entertainment dept to deliver a version of the theme for a saturday night game show

God but this series needs to be rebooted... How topical are it's themes in today's world, authoritarian regimes, thought manipulation and so much more (and one of the greatest villains ever!).
Give it a good budget, a quality cast and, for God's sake, keep the theme music!
bbc budget of today, vaguely topical issues so as not to offend or make people think too hard, crap dubstep ultra bass music etc, im glad with what we got, dont give the bbc a reason to parade the corpse around, they will.
No reboots. A sequel where the idea of Blake lives on

This classic tune always takes me back to my childhood, like classic Who. I like how you layered the 2 intros at the 2:30 in mark

I was shocked as a child and even as an adult this series is totally unique. All the Goodies were killed and the Baddies won!
I will say Tom the arch-villain been the woman Servalan was and still is awesome in billions of ways and also the fact that the arch-villain Servalan herself and her Federation won and the goodies including Blake were ruthlessly killed off was IMO shocking and disgusting and I am pleased to say that when classic Dr Who ended abruptly after 26 years it did not end the B7 ended with heroes been killed off and villains winning the end of B7 not having arch-enemy Servalan present was a shock in billions of ways.
They don't make quality TV series like this anymore which is very sad.
Quite frankly the BBC should bring this wonderful programme back.
How could a remake try and recapture the magic that actors like Paul Darrow gave to the original (whose no longer with us?)
