I’ve had one for 5 years with no need to even change a gasket, and just got another one to use for afternoon coffee break at work. Good for those who are interested in the art and science of espresso. The whole thing with the Bellman is the timing, which takes some trial and error initially and some attention while brewing. Figure out what heat works on your burner and the time then make use of a timer. It costs 20% of any durable quality machine worth having, and the espresso and foam can be excellent. That being said, I think the next one I buy will be with the pressure gauge which would make for less guesswork.
I've found some online without the gauge but I've decided I'm getting one with a gauge, I've seen too many reviews of it exploding. Do you use yours for espresso? If so, is there a specific grinder you would suggest?
Whole fun is in the preparation and dealing with that nice piace o equipment I guess. Some say no control on anything, so give the guy good advise how to improve instead meaningless criticism . I guess w are here cause of love to coffee, let's learn from each other. I'm sure that guy have a proper espresso machine as well. Cheers.

This looks interesting. Part of the enjoyment of coffee is making it different ways. clearly this is not an everyday machine, but it truly is one I'd like to play with.
To those worried about the lack of a safety valve. It's in the handle. You can see the vents on the metal part. Those lead to the over pressure valve on the inside.
I walked away from my Bellman CX-25 for a couple minutes earlier today and the lid gasket blew out while brewing-luckily no one was hurt. My Bellman unit is rarely used and in pristine condition. I wasn't sure if the unit had a safety valve or not, until I came across your post. Thank you and caveat emptor!
Hi, roughly what is length of time it took to get enough pressure from securing lid to placing on burner..... just need an estimate, I tried two minutes but did not seem to build enough pressure but nervous to let it go longer unless thats what is required.
@@zszim ok tks...... I experimented last few times, used hot water placed on medium heat and gave 8 minutes and pulled a few decent shots then gave 5 minutes more to build pressure for foaming milk. I have a vintage Elebak model so still figuring it out.
What’s your technique? Do you have heat info and timing for each step approximately? I did well my first try but now it’s taken a lot longer to brew and steam and and the coffee is terribly bitter and the milk is burnt. I use almond milk.
I think he was using it right way... if you put another a basket on top of another, It is designed to use less coffee and brew less yield espresso. If you remove top basket (or filter), then you will get more room for more coffee to fill for more espresso extraction.
It can do 4, 2 and 1 depending on how you set the basket up. You can find written instructions if you make proper offerings to the Great and Mighty Google.

I dont think so. There are different types, but no one seems to have an over pressure valva which makes it a little dangerous. www.amazon.com/CX-25-Bellman-Stovetop-Espresso-Maker/dp/B003QVFHAS?th=1

You only turn the coffee outlet 3/4 of a turn, if that, to make it come out slowly, never spurting and watery like that. It should take at least 15 seconds or more to start coming out if you have the right grind and packed property. A medium grind usually works and packed lightly with the packer component. The main thing is making it drip slowly and easily making it thick and rich.
You have to work to get a coffee worth drinking. I have a Sage espresso machine that makes sensational coffee. Stick to instant 'coffee' if you're too idle to make the real thing.

it's depends on firepower, but maybe 2min is not enough

You put the coffee on top of the basket instead of in the basket?! I don't think so. What is the point of the basket?

Yes, it is called a reducer, so he can use less coffee grounds in the basket and make either less coffee, or weaker coffee. Normally, I don’t use one.
How much it costs? In India.
16 cups a day i need to hire someone to brew while i drink the coffee.
혹시 인덕션에서도 사용할 수 있을까요?? 어디서 구입하셨는지도 알려주세요^^

The over pressure valve is the handle. There are vents around the handle conected to the valve on the inside. Well, at least mine is that way.
sandhollowneko thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it.
اين احصل عليها؟؟from where can I get this??
有沒有附送的把手工具啊?好像扭來扭去都扭不緊!

Had one of these in the early 80s. Was always wondering when it would explode. Espresso roulette.
There is a pressure release valve hidden in the handle.
This is so cute.
Good
How can I buy this coffee maker ??
Awesome...
Its a good espresso mesin.
How long does it take to cool down and make another pot?
Got access to water to set the boiler in, 2 minutes or less. Have the valve open so the cold water will not cause a vacuum.
Could pull the boiler in.
A little bit nervous but good job.
Where i can buy the machine coffe ?
No need to clean grinds off the edge of the basket?
압력계 없는 타입은 에소프레소 추출 어느 타이밍에 추출하나요 밀크 스팀 타이밍두요??
손잡이 구멍에서 스팀 나오면요
