I have one of these and love it. I always take it with me camping. I used it one morning and my neighbor heard it and wondered what that sound was. As soon as he found out, he asked me to make him one. You can't believe the joy of sitting in the woods drinking a cappuccino! Amazing!!!
I think it's nice as a gimmick but the foam it produces looks horrible, maybe consider using a Moka Pot, then heating the milk then frothing it with a milk frother. That way you could even get latte art level milk quality!
My Mukka was messy, cold and almost without foam at the beginning.. But when I was looking for a valve replacement, I saw, there comes a small rubber ring with a new Valve. So I just put a small rubber sealing ring on the pillar where the coffe comes out, right under the top so the Valve sits on it. Now everything is sealed tight and i have more foam than ever, the coffee is much much hotter and there is no mess anymore. Everybody with problems, try a small sealing ring under the valve! (Try at own risk, always see that the bayonett valve is sealed tightI) Its a 13mm x 1,64mm ring ("R-06")!
You can tell when the milk is at temperature, the steaming sound goes deeper, a lot of people say these things don't do a hot enough coffee, its not the pot, it's simply them not leaving it on the heat long enough and waiting for the lower frothing sound that most barista's know to listen for.
I use mine with regular coffee grounds and overfill with water , about 3/4s full, but when it pops on the stove you have to be there and pour into cup while its mixing with milk , otherwise it overflows the pot. And do it over the sink as some may overflow spout. For Christmas I used eggnog instead of milk. Im thinking of using flavored liquor like chocolate for some evening drinks. I think the combinations are endless. I luv my Mukka.
You should be able to stop it from overflowing by only filling up to the lines that are indented in the mukka, and by taking it off the stove when it starts frothing. My issue is that it comes out a bit watery, I don't know if it's because I'm missing the greyish plastic bit under the button, or if it's due to the rubber gaskets
@@oneitalia2312 If you mean the black plastic part that is inside of the moka body, it's exclusive to this Mukka Express model It fits over the pressure valve system this moka has
This is one of my favourite ASMR videos. Everything is perfect, the slow, attentive preparation, the beautiful cup and the clock ticking. And it is in high resolution which wasn't the norm 12 years ago. I have watched it many times.
this was strangely satisfying to watch... and i don't know y? i especially like how it proves the time tested adage of... "a picture is worth1000 words" :)
Forgot to add: 1) Use full cream milk, the proteins stitch the foam together so it doesn't collapse. 2) I guarantee you will lift the lid to see how it works, and I guarantee you will jump once the frothing suddenly starts. 3) Clean the pot thoroughly, using just warm water. Dry it just as thoroughly, too. 4) Choose the ground coffee of choice. 5) Enjoy the experience. PS The water level in the base should be just a little below the safety valve. I use filtered water.
This looks more like a latte than a cappuccino. Either way it is a great little device and especially for those that don't have a lot of time in the morning. Thanks for the video!
L'avevo comprata per regalo a mia madre a Natale, vari anni fa,ma non ha mai funzionato bene, poi mia madre l'ha rotta dopo neanche una settimana, perché non sapeva usarla.Nel video il cappuccino è fantastico!😅
Great job filming and editing this process. Without words, simply and slowly showing what is done. Also excellent steadicam close-up work at the end moving over that cup of delicious cappuccino.
The flames of the gas stove only reach slightly the outside of the black base. I sometimes have issues with the valve. Try to wet the valve before making coffee. Make sure it's clean. Rinse with filtered water after each use. The button seems loose but the plastic part with the steam exhaust should be rather firm when in place.
To obtain an homogeneous foam, you could move to spin round the milk to make the bubble pop an then you could tap on the table to make it homogeneous, repeat this e few times. But make a real cappuccino need that the coffe is before in the cup and then you can put the milk (put gently the milk, in this way the foam over the milk will stay over) and finishing by fillin it with the foam. Sry my English I'm Italian
once the pressure builds, that mechanism pops open (5:07) allowing the steam and coffee to flow out. It redirects the steam/coffee down into the milk to steam/froth it, creating this unique cappuccino like drink.
Excellent video! I just started using this type of machine, the one with the flat octogon shape. It's great! Can you buy that little steamer piece. separately?
Ey, michalkun7, I have some question for you. Because my mukka doesn't work as well like yours. How strong is the fire? The point it's that mine doesn't made so much vaporized milk and I put milk until the mark. By the way, It would be the problem with the button, because I find it a little loose when I put it from the position 0 to the position 1 in the mukka. One more clue, I use an older electric stove... Thanks for the help
With little expense you can have a cappuccino even with this Moka Bialetti, but if you want a real Italian cappuccino you must have an espresso machine with steam tube, Saeco is a good Italian brand like Bialetti .. 😊 Ah I'm Italian 🇮🇹
How did you not taste it after it was all made & fresh? So THIS is what I've missed with my Keurig. Now that it finally broke I was looking to see what else is out there.
it can do both moka and cappuccino - if you want only moka (espresso is made from the coffee machine, not the caffettiera, if we want to be precise), then you just do not press the steam boiler on the top.
Hmmmm i'm trying to imagine how nice that would be of one used warm single cream. Also my bialetti moka went missing after a recent gathering. I assume someone used and placed it somewhere strange rather than taken it. Still I am at my wits end without coffee. I cannot drink that instant stuff, it's not coffee. Anyway is this able to make a normal coffee also? I am looking at maybe getting a brikka if mine doesn't appear/is found soon.
Ahahahah!
