Of course it's no flame-flame fruit style of control or power, but it would nicely explain why certain people have the ability to do it when most others seemingly can't. Food for thought.
Oda was asked how Sanji could light his leg and not be burned and he said it is the power of his "heart". I think this is a kind of "magic" that is seen throughout One Piece and is linked to Haki, but not exactly the same. Like you said, if someone is wilful and passionate enough, their "heart" can literally ignite their attacks. It explains Diable Jambe, Red Hawk, Doflamingo's Overheat, and Katakuri's Grilled Mochi. They all seem to be aided by natural friction, but the "heart" enhances and sustains, while the traditional Haki component prevents it from damaging the user.
I think Usopp also prophesized Zoro also using fire at some point. Back in Zou when he was hiding behind Zoro, he called out an attack that was basically a flaming Onigiri
That card trick reminded me of this really famous pirate who was known for doing card tricks in very inappropriate situations, i believe his name was William
For clarification: "The way of the samurai is found in death", is what Kaido was referencing. And a true samurai dies protecting and following their masters orders. It's in the Hagekuri a small book about samurai from hundreds of years ago
Glad all these little battles are going on. Apoo totally deserves it I was laughing that Sanji was basically us in how Oda is just making semi horror filled animal human mixes as we go.
I'm STILL standing on my theory that the fire sword is apart of the "COLOR" of Haki. This is also why I think luffy can create a fire punch. We have previously seen luffy use high level skills without even being aware of it.
I feel like there's another power system in one piece that has been shown but not stated Like Sanji's Diablo Jambe Zoros asura Luffy's red hawk And now kenemons fox fire
I think it might have been Yamato using Ryou Haki. Cause even Sasaki looked a bit shocked about the attack. I don't think it would be suprising if he has (it should be he right?) Oden's logbook it might have some help on that front. And now that he is in open revolt against his father he shows the power for the first time to the beast pirates. Hence the suprise to Sasaki of the attack.
@Fran It means she's cosplaying/LARPing/roleplaying as Oden, out of respect and idolization of him. She doesn't even want to be male specifically - she wants to mimic Oden. That's about it.
07:50 with the power of his Ryuo "hearing everything ?" which can make you cut steel and not cut paper, Kinemon is using his Ryuo to literally cut the air molecules, which of course releases masive amount of energy, which "may" explain how he cuts fire, by cutting the oxygen from it it sound stupid but it's the only thing in my mind possible
Holy shit i just had a thought; Kanjuro is /dead/. That means his fruit is up for grabs, and probably /in Wano or Onigashima somewhere/. Who has been noted several times as a surprisingly good artist? CARROT!
Usopp is going to use those seed things and it makes a fruit that becomes devil fruit. Somehow Usopp's unusual weapon eats the fruit and gets it's power. Usopp and Carrot use the weapon to draw gag for the rest of the series.
@@shahzadarif4712 Awhile back, he treid to fight the scabards. It was implied Kiku killed him, don't remember the chapter number but i think it happend back in August.
If this theory is true, then kanjuro's devilfruit will reincarnate in Nami's orange tree on the Thousand Sunny as I don't think that there are any fruits on muffin island as the beast pirates don't look the type that would eat fruit...
The vibrating sword theory wouldn't work imo. It would probably break first, but if we say that haki keeps it from breaking it would just melt from any friction in its structure instead of lighting on fire. You'd still need something flamable.
So I know its a little late for this but I recently saw your video on Calico Yorki, and i've noticed a lot of weird similarities between him and Doc Q. Both have an incurable disease that severely limits them physically, they're both blonde, and both seem to have facial tattoos relating to the opposite sides of a key. The alternative way of interpreting it is that in Kanji yorkis tatoos each mean "Yo" so "YoYo" which could be a tongue and cheek reference to how a yoyo always comes back and he promised to come back to Laboon, but could further connect to him potentially returning to the series. There were a few other things but those stuck out to me in a major way... I know that Doc Q is 28 at the time of the current story but maybe Yorki got nursed back to health by a nurse and while he never recovered well enough to take to the seas again maybe he was able to raise kids of his own, passing down his unfortunate sickness somehow.
Well theoretically, No. Even in a world where you could create that much friction, the most you could do is heat the sword up. Metal even when placed in a furnace will not combust. The metal conducts heat and could in Extreme cases melt.
Kineamon summoned thermite with his devilfruit and lit it with his foxfire. Thermite is hard to ignite but once it gets ignited, it burns hotter than Sanji after learning about Absalom marrying Nami!
@@punkchris Kineamon turned the samurai into beast pirate henchmen. The 'dress' of the beast pirates revolves around leather BDSM like outfits, with metal fittings and trims. To dress like them, Kineamon has to summon metal, leather, horns, cotton and other organic as well non organic materials. It can be assumed that Kineamon can summon non-cloth materials if he knows what it is. As for thermite, it can be possible that Kineamon knows about it on hearing about it from the other prisoners in Udon, about how the weapons were made in the weapons factories there as thermite is one of the few materials that can cut steel. Also, it could be assumed that the Seastone in Wano is mined in Udon as we have seen Kidd and Luffy haul large blocks of stone. Also, no other mine or quarry apart from Udon is shown in the series so it can be assumed that Seastone is mined in Udon. Seastone is canonically one of the hardest materials in One Piece. Working it is a challenge and can only be done with a thermite like material as barring wapometal supersteel, ordinary cutting tools would break against it. Shogun Orochi being the paranoid guy he is, would never allow wapometal cutting tools to work with Seastone, and would ask the prison guards to get the prisoners to use thermite to cut the blocks. Being that thermite can be made cheaply and cannot be ignited easily, it could be authorised for use in the prison mine.
7:00 Yes, I think it is possible, as long as there is oxygen available. One thing to note: a sword may look smooth, but microscopely, there is still jags and sharp bumps which can collide and rub with the oxygen molecules in the air, which can cause combustion. … I think
When the rain started, I had thought it was a sound he set-up to go with what he was talking about. Such crazy timing for the rain to come out of nowhere.
Just a note on Kaido's comment about how death completes a man. When he said "Roger and Whitebeard did it right" my interpretation wasn't that he was talking about determination, but about the willingness and readiness to die. Kaido wants to die, we know that. We still don't know exactly why, but it could be because of how Oden was the only one who came close to killing him and he wants to feel that again. So, when the Scabbards attacked him and he felt Oden's Ryou through them, he thought that there was finally someone capable of killing him. So he fought them, and they did everything they could, and even used Oden's techniques on him, but, in the end, all 9 couldn't even come close to Oden. So, in last week's chapter, Kaido stated that he pondered letting them kill him, but because they couldn't even come close to that, he went on full offensive, which resulted in Kiku losing an arm. Kaido likes to break people, that's how he gets captains to work under him, and he tried to do the same with Luffy. Here we see how he put one of the Scabbards in a perilous situation, Kiku, in an attempt to break her spirit as he doesn't even consider them worthy foes anymore. But she gets back up to fight. Here he sees what we've known for a while, that the Scabbards are willing to die tonight, they have accepted the fact that this could be their last battle because this battle is what their life amounts to. And that's when he brings up Whitebeard and Roger. Both of them were willing to die, and they made their deaths meaningful. That's what Kaido wants. He's trying to reach a meaningful death, but he can't even achieve a meaningless one. Because he believes that death is what completes a man.
Carrot. Both are good fap Material, but I realy enjoy the Idea of Race diversity in the Crew. We have so many Races at this Point, Longarms, Longlegs, Minks, Fishmans, it goes one, and one. Would be a shame if we had only a small Number of this Guys on the Crew. Only Chopper and Jinbei arent borne Human. Also Carrot has a clear, and very iconic Role in the Crew. Lookout.
Ok hear me out on this: End of Wano Arc, the Shogun of Wano isn’t Momo (yet, given to him when he becomes of age) but instead Yamato who marries Hiyori and- Ok I can see a lot of problems with this... I’m sorry, I just love Yamato too much
At first, I thought Yamato was pulling a Krieg and causing explosions for some reason with every swing. It's nice to see he isn't totally deranged and can actually identify himself as Yamato too. Well...looks like we've been set up for that Brook vs. Apoo fight now. At the very least, they're in the same room and he has a reason to go after him.
And in this week's review of one piece, we continue the longstanding tradition of Tekking not being able to say cauterize. As for the flaming sword question, it is possible for an object to move fast enough to set the air around it ablaze (for example atmospheric re-entry makes it fairly common) so with anime logic someone would be able to swing a sword that fast.
When you feel miserable just remember that in a world where magic fruits give you super powers there was a guy whose power was becoming a chicken's ass.
I had a thought. What if Momo decides to stand his ground and fight. Of course he is a kid so he can't do much, but he could embrace his devil fruit and maybe we could get some new powers for Momo, enough for him to have a small impact in the fight. Then, having seen Momo's transformation, maybe it can be revealed that Yamato can also transform into an Eastern Dragon like Kaido. I think that would be such a great way to reveal what Yamato and Kaido are. It's the mystery that I'm chomping at the bit for. They have oni horns, are really tough and strong, both have very willful personalities, and Kaido can transform into a Dragon. C'mon Oda, I need this info.
To answer the question reguarding the flaming sword thing: no. You can't ignite a sword with any amount of friction or vibration. Because steel is not combustible it would just wear away to nothing, shatter or melt. You would need some form of accelerant to ignite on the blade like oil, but it would need to be able to hold to the surface of the blade and not take away from the cutting potential of the blade. Over all it looks cool but isn't very practical. Plus even if you do get a sword to catch fire it could ruin the temper and make the blade to soft or to brittle to use.
No that guy was such a monumental dick head that Oda has to bring him back, just so he can be killed again: for real tho he spent too long developing orochi to just randomly off him like that.
@@kenhammscousin4716 He even had a significant role in Oden’s flashback just to be killed and finished in less than 3 panels. I’m sure he’s coming back but the fact that it hasn’t been referenced at all is strange.
I mean, from a physics perspective, if he could vibrate the sword in a way that transfers energy through the sword from his hands in sufficient quantities to produce enough heat via friction between the sword and the air immediately around it, perhaps some kinda plasma could be made but I don't now if air would even be dense enough to make that possible.
Even if he could vibrate it fast enough to heat up the sword, it would glow red hot, but not really be "on fire" unless there was something flammable on the blade. Maybe he keeps a thin coating of carbon the ignites. Problem is if steel gets that hot, it weakens. That's how you forge steel.
I really liked Kaido’s philosophical but there, first he brings up how Roger and Whitebeard lived their lives with determination, and then says but it is your death that completes you. Here he’s talking about how, yes, both Roger and Whitebeard lived great, honorable lives, but it was their death that surmounted everything else. Their death was the pinnacle of their existence. Roger setting off the great pirate era, and Whitebeard having a jaw dropping amount of severe wounds, but none on his back, and never falling down even after dying.
The Physics of Kin'emon Setting his sword ablaze via autoignition through friction Although Vibration wouldn't Word under normal circumstances, aka Vibrating the blade Back and Forth. However if he is able to move the Blade of the Sword itself fast enough through the Air it could Autoignite surrounding the Blade in fire. the speed for such a Feat would most likely Damage the Sword, or at the very least heavily weaken it's structural integrity. Though under Anime Logic, you could easily just ignore that. Now for the Math. The Length of a Standard Katana is 28.5 inches for a 5ft 5inch Samurai Kin'emon is 9ft 8in, aka 1.78x taller than an average Samurai of 5ft 5 In Thus you can Assume that his Kin'emon Katana is 1.78x Larger making it's Length 59 In The Dimensions of said Katana would approximately be 59 in X 1.5 in X 0.25 in, Totalling with a Surface area of 22.125 cubic Inches With that we take the autoignition temperature of a mixture of Air, which for all intents and purposes is 570° Celsius or 1058° F Area X Speed X Coefficient of Drag = Temperature Coefficient of Drag for a Streamlined body is 0.04 which would technically be slightly higher than a blade, but it's close enough for what we're looking for 22.125 X V X 0.4 = 570° C 570 / (22.125 X 0.4) = V 570 / 0.0885 = V 6440 m/s = V 6440 m/s = 14405.87 Mph Now I tried my best with this one, it was a difficult one to figure out, and has a lot of approximations. Air is a Fluid friction, so it heats up at a faster rate as you Increase Velocity, thus it would probably be at a slightly Slower speed than calculated. Also once again a Blade has even less drag, and Way less Surface area than a Streamlined body like a Wing or the like. Lastly this just kinda ignores the specific mixtures of gases you'd need to make i Autoignition possible.

I read Yamato’s attack as a ryuo attack; similar to Rogers attack when he first met Oden. The difference being that Yamato’s ryuo isn’t advanced enough to inflict internal damage; instead it’s a blast like Shutenmaru
Yamato also identifying as Yamato too and not just Oden really blows The Whole trans narrative out the window. Oda is Japanese and that is not how that culture treats trans-identity. People read way too much into it. It’s either pandering or disrespectful depending on how you look at it. Probably not a good idea to call somebody trans unless they say so, especially in real life.
People getting upset/concerned about Yamato being trans are being foolish and looking too deep into things. No one, including Yamato, have referred to her as a trans person in-universe. All she's done in relation to that is essentially cosplay or LARPing, which she does out of respect for Oden specifically (not because she has gender dysphoria or such). While she's playing the role of Oden, people have overall been referring to her as a he because of that roleplay. Nothing more; it wasn't Oda trying to pander to or disrespect anyone.
Yamato himself and literally every other character refers to Yamato as male. This includes Kaido and the Beast Pirates, who refer to him as male even though they do not refer to him as Oden. This is very strong evidence that Yamato identifies as male even outside of his desire to embody Oden. Regardless of his reasons, the only thing that should decide what pronouns to use for someone is what pronouns they ask to be referred to by, which is usually also how they refer to themselves. Yamato has repeatedly and without deviation referred to himself as male, so no matter what else you believe, we should all follow his, Luffy's and everyone else's lead and do so as well. With regards to the one exception that everyone who likes to dismiss this brings up - the intro panel calling him Kaido's daughter - this is in line with other meta text in One Piece in that it clarifies details for the reader which are not relevant to the people in the story. It tells us Yamato's biological relation to Kaido, just to make sure there are no theories about adoption or Yamato being an imposter, etc. Oda did the same thing when Kiku and Izo were introduced in Oden's flashback, calling them brothers despite the fact that Kiku identifies as female.
My theory for how the foxfire works is that there is some quality that things can have that allows control over the elements. The most common one we see in the series is fire, with the flame flame fruit, red hawk, diable jambe, and whatever zoro used against ryuma. I think the reason Sanji and his siblings have super powers is that the germa figured out how to manipulate this quality. The same can be said with aokiji and Brook having power over ice, the pacifistas, franky, and kizaru with light, and hancock turning people to stone and sanji being turned to stone.

I hope that in the anime everyone looks at Apoo and they all just turn into shadows with glowing smiles and eyes. How about you?
12:03 - Matt, I have to say I think your map could use some more detail - like actually showing the inside of the mountain, the Uno Tower, etc.
@chris how would devil fruits work if u applied science to it?
@@punkchris if it was summoned as 'clothes'.

I wish Oda could do cover stories of how and when everyone in onepiece ate their devil fruits...

Of course he is a kid so he can't do much, but he could embrace his devil fruit and maybe we could get some new powers for Momo, enough for him to have a small impact in the fight.
Am I the only one who is surprised that Orochi is still dead? Am I dumb for being surprised?
Tekling is the goat
Even if he could vibrate it fast enough to heat up the sword, it would glow red hot, but not really be "on fire" unless there was something flammable on the blade. Maybe he keeps a thin coating of carbon the ignites. Problem is if steel gets that hot, it weakens. That's how you forge steel.
Yamato s tier one piece husbando second only to zoro
I really liked Kaido’s philosophical but there, first he brings up how Roger and Whitebeard lived their lives with determination, and then says but it is your death that completes you. Here he’s talking about how, yes, both Roger and Whitebeard lived great, honorable lives, but it was their death that surmounted everything else. Their death was the pinnacle of their existence. Roger setting off the great pirate era, and Whitebeard having a jaw dropping amount of severe wounds, but none on his back, and never falling down even after dying.
Kaku's netflix adaptation is weird
The Physics of Kin'emon Setting his sword ablaze via autoignition through friction
Although Vibration wouldn't Word under normal circumstances, aka Vibrating the blade Back and Forth.
The Length of a Standard Katana is 28.5 inches for a 5ft 5inch Samurai
Kin'emon is 9ft 8in, aka 1.78x taller than an average Samurai of 5ft 5 In
Thus you can Assume that his Kin'emon Katana is 1.78x Larger making it's Length 59 In
The Dimensions of said Katana would approximately be 59 in X 1.5 in X 0.25 in, Totalling with a Surface area of 22.125 cubic Inches
With that we take the autoignition temperature of a mixture of Air, which for all intents and purposes is 570° Celsius or 1058° F
Area X Speed X Coefficient of Drag = Temperature
Coefficient of Drag for a Streamlined body is 0.04 which would technically be slightly higher than a blade, but it's close enough for what we're looking for
22.125 X V X 0.4 = 570° C
570 / (22.125 X 0.4) = V
570 / 0.0885 = V
6440 m/s = V
6440 m/s = 14405.87 Mph
Now I tried my best with this one, it was a difficult one to figure out, and has a lot of approximations. Air is a Fluid friction, so it heats up at a faster rate as you Increase Velocity, thus it would probably be at a slightly Slower speed than calculated. Also once again a Blade has even less drag, and Way less Surface area than a Streamlined body like a Wing or the like. Lastly this just kinda ignores the specific mixtures of gases you'd need to make i
Autoignition possible.
Tekking the correct term is "cauterised", not "cauterilised".
Maybe he was combining the word with "sterilized." At that heat I'd bet the wound is pretty sterile too.

But everybody refers to her as a man
@@noirekuroraigami2270 Except Oda. He literally introduced Yamato as “Kaido’s Daughter” in 984.
@@noirekuroraigami2270 in Japanese they also use masculine for strong willed, mentally/physically, or even female leaders
