@@LivandTrekGoCycling This is our target next year (2025) . In 2023 we did the Shimanami Kaido Japan and possibly this year to Jeju in Korea. We would like your help and recommendations on where to stay and bike rentals in Majorca 🙂🙂
@firdaushanapiah7691 Personally I think staying in the North of the island is better than the south. From the North you have the option of flat rides as well as access to the mountains. There is less flat riding in the South. As for where to stay..in the North there are many options in the Alcudia and Port Pollenca areas. Last time we visited we stayed in Alcudia at this hotel ua-cam.com/video/Sjhtv_CgxbE/v-deo.html
I've just come back from Mallorca and did Cap Formentor, Sa Calobra, Coll de Femina and Sa Battala(not all in one ride though!). Absolutely awesome. Must be one of best places in world to ride and best thing is so close to UK so easy to get to for a quick trip or two. I went twice this year and going back next year.
Great video thanks for sharing it. My first time in Mallorca back in March so enjoying ur videos in cycling paradise and can't wait to get back there next spring. Agree with your comments on cyclists with electric bikes. Best wishes 😎🚴♂️👍

Great video.. we did the same route 3 weeks ago and it blew our minds too! Did you try the rough road up from where you stopped for refreshments? It’s a good climb but very rough surface with loose gravel. It sounds like you’re from the NW area, Cheshire/merseyside (ish) I live north wales nr Abersoch and Pwllheli and there are some fantastic roads over hear, so if you’re in the area give me a shout for some good climbs and car free country roads.
@@keithwarb Hi Keith, thanks for commenting and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. No I didn't do that rough road...not on my road bike. I also live in North Wales, born and bred, a bit further North 🚴👍
@@SteveSinclair1 There is a reason cyclists flock there in their thousands. The scenery, the weather (if good) contribute towards it's label as a 'cycling paradise'. Make sure you do the 'Cap Formentor' climb..it's on your doorstep, the scenic views are impressive 🚴😎👍
Great filming. My absolute favourite route. There’s a little add-on you can do from the viewpoint up to the Talaia & back. More great views, but the road surface is shocking.
Thanks for commenting and for the compliment , I appreciate that. Is that the steep road up which you can see ahead of you as you stand with the monument behind you from the first viewing point?
@@follystone I've often wondered where that goes but to be honest what has put me off is how steep it looks 🤪. I've also never gone down the turn off to the right by the car / coach park after you first enter what I call the forest area..is it down to Formentor beach? Next time I do that ride...I'm going down there 🚴
Yes that’s a very short road to the beach & a really good cafe. There’s also a hotel which I think is being completely re-built, so it might be a bit of a building site for a while
Why do a lot of these riders don't tell you the gradient percentages and for how long are the hills? Also what gearing do they use. That's wise that you mention not to go too fast descending, not unless you're experienced at it. Who is "He". Yes some fantastic beautiful views.
@@Gledii Hi, thanks for commenting. The climb up towards the lighthouse from the start is one way up and one way down, but don't let that put you off. It's an iconic climb for a reason 👍. Are you staying nearby?

Hello, where is this route exactly? I'll be in Mallorca in September and this is probably the only ride I can probably do. I hope to start my training in March. Thanks for any information you can pass on. Cheers.
Hi Jazz. For this video I used the Insta 360 x3 and the Insta 360 go 3 camera. The x3 was chest mounted using the standard insta 360 chest mount strap. You'll see it under accessories on their website. Thanks for commenting 👍
Thank you. So just wondering how does the x3 and x go work together as in how do you combine the footage? Sorry new to all this. If I just purchased one which would you recommend? Also what’s the battery life like?
Once we have the footage I transfer it to the computer...you'll need a decent spec'd computer to video edit and to edit the footage from both cameras I use a video editing program called Filmora 13. It's really user friendly for the beginner...which I still am. You should note however that if you use the x3 camera to record 360 Deg footage...you'll need to use the Insta studio desktop program to 'keyframe' it first. Before you buy ..do plenty of UA-cam research on this first. I also have the Insta 360 ace pro camera which is probably my best camera..that doesn't shoot 360 Deg footage. If you're just starting out, I'd recommend Filmora 13 and just one action cam....stay away from the x3 initially. The Insta 360 ace pro is ideal. I've never had a go pro. I have a 256 GB memory card in the ace pro and I get about one HR recording time in 4k but for long rides I carry a spare battery also.
Thanks for commenting David, glad you enjoyed it. The bike box I have is a 'Bike box Alan Tri' or it's also called the 'Bike box Alan easy fit '. I am riding an Emonda SLR7 and the box is designed specifically to fit bikes with integrated handlebars. Just remove pedals and wheels...seat and bars stay on. I have a video about it here ua-cam.com/video/mOTYtAGcGY0/v-deo.html 🚴👍
