The Last Ninja 2- "Central Park Loader", and then "Central Park Theme". Classic Commodore 64 game, with a legendary soundtrack that, sounds incredible translated to guitar! Seriously- the picking practices you brilliantly use here are used to recreate those classic game tunes to guitar. And played through guitar, they sound like some of the riffs you play here. "Central Park Loader" is a fantastic Picking riff to work on!!
what also helps is doing it mirror image. If you dont have left guitar flip it upside down and play right handed guitar left handed. This will help analyze your picking and fretting from a new perspective. I play left and right handed guitars each day, typically left in mornings, right in evenings. I do this for fun as it elicits different emotional response to practice.
Pantera is an absolute gem for you picking technique. Songs like f*ing hostile or psycho holiday are both tricky and extremly fast. Started playing both at x0.7, now few days later full speed is no problem anymore!
Recently started to practice the riff from Jeff Loomis’ “shouting fire at a funeral”, there you also run into string skipping and some inside outside trouble 😮
To keep my downpicking in shape, I play along with Blackened regularly. It's a good motivator because it has a lot of nostalgic value, meaning that I always want to play it a few times in a row when I get started.
Hi Justin! Any news about the tab book of the last album of Eternity's end? I've already bought the other two and can't wait for the third one. Also, can't wait for the forth one... Thanks!
Unfortunately not really, but I will spend some time with Chris next week to finish writing the new EE, and there we‘ll also tackling the rest of the tab book :)
Shout out to the last riff, Christian is a monster picker, I know he didn’t write a lot with Necrophagist, but this video could have just been Necrophagist riffs, and I’d thought, great list. 😂
For riffs such as the Forbidden and Obscura ones, is there a reason why they have to be done strictly alternately picked? How I approach such riffs is, if we use the Forbidden riff I'd pick it Down - Up -Down and then Down on the start of the next sequence which results in the pattern always being the same, of course I wouldn't economy pick or sweep the two downstrokes, I would do actual downpicks on both notes so that the attack is consistent on all of the notes.
Na klar :) Die Licks und Übungen sind im generellen auch gut für deine Left/Right-Hand Synchronisation, sowie für das generelle Verständnis vom Picking :)
@@justin.hombach Ooohhh you mean the bionic arm? Pffff why someone will think that is fake? You show it on the video 🤠👍 And maybe you'll never have the skills to do stop motion, but you have to do constant motion...
Oh wow, Riff 5 Call of the Valkyries is so fun to play. Incredible riff! I've been obsessing over learning this too. ua-cam.com/video/3aN2pFnTwLs/v-deo.html

Awesome! When will it be possible to buy the digital tabs for Embers of War?
Love the lessons, thank you. I usually practice riffs from my band Black Banner, they really keep me on my toes 🤘

Idk what you talking about, but haters will say that the video is speed up on music parts or a very well made sort of stop motion
