I’ve tried to follow a lot of how-to videos. It’s rare that anyone takes the time to explain the little things in the instruction manual. Like pencil marks, and shims… thank you for speaking to my “amateur mechanic” ability. I feel WAY more prepared to install this from what I was after trying to make sense of the manual.
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. Funny enough, Im watching this to see how to REMOVE the Mopar reinforcement that came with my JLUR with the XR package. Ive decided to upgrade to a GenRight tire carrier as I plan on eventually going with 40s.

So the rubicon comes with the same size tire and no tailgate reinforcement just a FYI. Xrecon with 35s is why this was offered.

Did you remove the rough country tire relocation bracket or reuse it ?
I removed it but I’m thinking of re-installing it to lift my spare. Not sure if it will still work with the tailgate reinforcement.
