Make sure you neutralize any saltwater contamination, corrosion on aluminum, steel, etc. before reusing the parts. Salt water is the gift that keeps on giving, so be extra careful in your prep, paint etc.
I'm not going to lie. You guys make me happy watching 2 brothers, making it happen. No matter what god bless you guys. Love watching you guys video. Can't wait to see what's going to be next. It's going to be a awesome
Yep for sure you’ll get some nice cash back for the engine and drive train man and people are realy after them if it’s turning there’s a big big chance it’ll start up just don’t leave it sit and stand around to long you should make some good money back on them parts you have right there man poor diesel init today man down the plugs and down through the top to that should clean up realy good guys l👌👌👍
Hey Guys a good way to clean up electronic components/boards is to put them in a dish washer . try it out on the body control module you have pulled apart. you might be suprised at the outcome. nothint to loose, try it. Cheers (best if the module is apart like you have it).
Also i think the White interior is great. Imaging hopping in that dark leather seat, after it sit some time in the Sun ;) Wouldnt be that bad with a light Color Seat.
Grab some oil and do a 50/50 mix with diesel. flush the engine a few times and you should be good. Before starting pop the sparkplugs and crank the engine or suck out the water. Clean coils and put new sparkplugs and it should start
What you have there is galvanic corrosion. Aluminum is lower than iron on the electromotive scale. In salt water exposure the aluminum will corrode sacrificial to the iron. Same principle when they bolt zinc bars to the bottom of ocean ships. Zinc is sacrificial to the iron hull.
That white GT-R is done. Would have been nice to save it but given that the front end is been transferred onto the 2024 and you’d need to fix all the flood related issues you’d never make that money back especially on a very early model.
you always want to rebuild the car with the cleaner title and most extras tied to the vin number. simply makes more sense since the resell value gets to be kept
Really hope this GTR turns out the way it should, these cars have so much potential and even better then cars twice the price, just look at videos here on the Tube. The issue now is the flooding and the corrosion and mold that comes with these disasters, salt water compounds the problem ten fold. We had a Corvette come through our dealership with flood damage a few years ago, and the owner is still chasing his tail with issues, replace all the wiring, and every single module and or motor, you will find that weather pack connectors are water resistant not water proof in some situations like flooding, you should of left it in the water and walked away.
You don't want to flush the inside of the motor with water. You want to use diesel or automatic trans fluid also there is an engine flush you can pour in the oil.
All or most of that corrosion can be cleaned off with a scrubbing brush and IPA, then after cleaned spray all the boards with WD40 as that's non conductive and will protect it from further corrosion and moisture! I bet they work after that!
but the issue is the 2024 is worth a lot more then the 2013. So it's better off using the 2013 as parts push it has salt water all over. they can clean the parts inside and out before they use them on the 2024 to make sure all the salt is out. if not a lot of the time the frames and all rust from the inside out with salt water flooded cars.
Its amazing how many awesome cars ended up at copart due to hurricane helene and milton. I get to see the personally because i work for copart. As of oct 17, 2024 there were 60k brought in from the storms, and we are still getting more everyday.
Tavarish came up with some pretty good solutions to cleaning up saltwater flood damage on his P1. You should check out some of his videos. I doubt the engine is salvageable without a complete rebuild though.
What a shame! If someone had taken that GTR right away and put it in fresh water for a day, drained all the fluids and filled the engine case, and other cases that got saltwater in them with diesel fuel and let the diesel sit in it for a day and then drained them and filled them back up with oil, and let everything else dry out, I bet the majority of it would have been fine, may have had some issues with the wiring/electronics down the road, but most of it would have prob' been okay. My uncle sunk his truck in saltwater, and we did to it what I stated above, and it needed a few electronics but other than that it ran great for many years until he sold it.
pour une fois je vais vous dire que cette magnifique vidéo fut trop courte avec l'arrivée de cette GTR 35 de 2011, qui est pleine de surprise en eau salée .. Vivement la suite pour vendredi prochain!
The white Nissan it is salvageable, but you would have to do quite a few oil changes on it until you’re not getting any more of the discoloration in the oil or water in it. You would also have to go through the wires as well and make sure there is no corrosion If there is, you would have to swap them out.
Yeah for that 24 Nissan I think you guys should build the baddest one in the nation that got tons of aftermarket parts you can make that thing super fast and sick looking
Shame, sad for what happened to Florida but it was warned and alerted just my heart goes out to all the loved and lost ones but Goonzquad my main guys always loving your videos keep it up #Goonzquad 2:03
My wife and I joke that you guys are our kids and we've watched y'all grow into amazing individuals since the Mustang GT. We don't have kids so it is a little weird but also supportive! I dunno, keep up the great work boys! We are rooting for you still. Peace!
I’ve been also watching them since the Mustang and I tell all my friends about them like I remember them when these dudes were just kids building stuff in their parents driveway now they’re building their own houses and have multiple beautiful vehicles. I really am happy for that family and I’m happy that they have supportive people like youand your wife! God bless you!!! 💯🫡
@Poseoptional01 Yeah, we're the same way telling our friends. We say our kids are doing awesome. Our friends roll their eyes and just laugh. It's all in fun though.
Yes you can get it working again but I guarantee that within a year it will turn into a major headache. Saltwater will clean but not without leaving a lot of hidden damage
i bet if you found the dryest atmophere in the country, like out in death valley, the dry atmosphere would try it all out automatically after sitting for 1 month
Make sure you neutralize any saltwater contamination, corrosion on aluminum, steel, etc. before reusing the parts. Salt water is the gift that keeps on giving, so be extra careful in your prep, paint etc.
The vibe in this vid is perfect!
This is a great example of why insurance companies total flooded vehicles. Wow.
man that GTR is my dream car. So glad i get to watch you guys rebuild it
From 2 GT-R they will definitely do a cooler one..
This is the second GTR on the channel. The first got fixed for approx. 5 y.ago. Check previous videos.
That salt will eat away at everything and keep coming back. Wiring harness is toast. Salt permeates metal and everything.
Best example of Salt water damage and the reality of the problems, an education to us all - amazing 👍
I have been following you guys since when you were fixing dirt bikes motor
I look at the past builds in the background just sitting there collecting dust and I shake my head..
It doesn't bother them because they aren't car guys, they are UA-camrs. They do builds for views which equals revenue.
I think the same thing! Why not share the joy on at least some of them.
They won't sell shit , none of the tubers can bear to part with their achievements, egos gone wild .
Umm would you not love to look at a million dollars of car in your shop
I'm not going to lie.
You guys make me happy watching 2 brothers, making it happen. No matter what god bless you guys. Love watching you guys video. Can't wait to see what's going to be next. It's going to be a awesome
That corvette sounds freeking sick guys I’m just at the start at the moment you never seem to let me down with content man!👌👌👍👍
WOW!, so glad I saw this! .. I've thought many times buying a flooded vehicle couldn't be that bad! Now I see!!! ... WOW!!!
Fill that motor up with Diesel fuel, ATF and acetone and let it soak you might be able to salvage some of that motor.
You can use diesel to clean that engine out and it does a really good job making sure you get all the diesel out though is a pain in the ass
That is true and I've done it myself
Yep for sure you’ll get some nice cash back for the engine and drive train man and people are realy after them if it’s turning there’s a big big chance it’ll start up just don’t leave it sit and stand around to long you should make some good money back on them parts you have right there man poor diesel init today man down the plugs and down through the top to that should clean up realy good guys l👌👌👍
Diesel is amazing for flushing a engine leave it in for a day or 2 and drain it done it on a Polaris quad after a blown head gasket
ZR1 Sounds good
Hey Guys a good way to clean up electronic components/boards is to put them in a dish washer . try it out on the body control module you have pulled apart. you might be suprised at the outcome. nothint to loose, try it. Cheers (best if the module is apart like you have it).
Also isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush
16:30 Pops takes over 😂
😂😂😂
You guys can fix anything. Just want back some of the old time contents when you just started off In your parents garage
Started watching when your content pop up on my ytube as you might like it..and I like those Tennessee guys from Ukraine ❤and it was Lamborghini...
Also i think the White interior is great. Imaging hopping in that dark leather seat, after it sit some time in the Sun ;)
Wouldnt be that bad with a light Color Seat.

No, no, no, flush it with water...🤮
I love the energy of you guys. Great job. Best wishes from UK.
Can't wait for the next one!

Great family dynamic, great rides. Love the channel!
The engine in the flood damage would make a great table stand for someone. I would sell it for that exact purpose
stoked for this one
Much love towards you guys🔥💯
That white GT-R is done. Would have been nice to save it but given that the front end is been transferred onto the 2024 and you’d need to fix all the flood related issues you’d never make that money back especially on a very early model.
You guys are killing it!!! 💯
I can't wait for the build. Great content.
You guys are crazy. This build will be your biggest yet. Good luck.
Getting into the oil pan was like watching a doctor getting into a cyst!! So 2 videos in one!!!
LOL ... Dr. Pimple Popper!!! 😁😁😁😁
Dang We All Love The Buds & Them Saving Cars
Why dont you switch everything over from the damaged car onto the flood damaged car ???
Be dumb to white one 2016 the other is a 2024 so that should tell ya why the don't and the pumpers are different along with other stuff.
you always want to rebuild the car with the cleaner title and most extras tied to the vin number. simply makes more sense since the resell value gets to be kept
Because the 2024 car is worth more, and that flooded car will have so many rust problems very early, is not worth fixing it.
I love what you guys do!❤. Iam living in Canton Georgia I wish I can meet you guys to thank you in person, keep up with good work.
Really hope this GTR turns out the way it should, these cars have so much potential and even better then cars twice the price, just look at videos here on the Tube. You should put the 2024 GTR motor and transmission in the 2011 GTR
Might not have a salvage title..
They can’t, it’s a Non-repairable title. It would be off-road use only if they did.
You don't want to flush the inside of the motor with water. You want to use diesel or automatic trans fluid also there is an engine flush you can pour in the oil.
Use diesel fuel it works way better but that's just my opinion
All or most of that corrosion can be cleaned off with a scrubbing brush and IPA, then after cleaned spray all the boards with WD40 as that's non conductive and will protect it from further corrosion and moisture! I bet they work after that!
Instead of spraying, could have soak it in a pool of clean water hahaha
That would actually be sick if there is some kind of way this car can come back.. The Goonsquad boys have two running GTRs. That be sick..
Use the crashed car as the parts car
That would be an easy way out , which isn't the goonzquad way
@@KruzeClubLoCyeah should’ve waited to comment the crashed car a 2024 white one is a 2013
😂😂😂😂
i was thinking the same...

That ZR1 is so freaking badass!
Billy Billy pop a wheelie 😂
Going to have to wait till tomorrow to watch you guys. It’s getting to late now in England. Keep up the great work like Pops new beard. Looking cool

Oh man that parts GTR needs to be fixed up guys what a nice looking car to man!!👌👍
Nice to see you fixing a Nissan. I don't care about any other brands.
Been refreshing my UA-cam since you posted on instagram 😂😂
PUT OIL IN TH FLODED ENGINE AND PUT + and - from jumper on the starer to finding out if it is good and get compression
It got salt water in the engine not good anymore.
The motor in the White GTR can be saved it just needs to be flushed and rebuild I bet that motor still brings good money .
Tavarish came up with some pretty good solutions to cleaning up saltwater flood damage on his P1. You should check out some of his videos. I doubt the engine is salvageable without a complete rebuild though.
I love your videos ❤
Elazar with the flip flops 😂 great work shoes brother 😂

I’m from Florida and I saw that gtr twice sad to see it go!😢

Awesome channel and I watch faithfully from LOS ANGELES,CA.
Popps rocking that beard. Looking great. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Put the PCB's in an ultrasonic cleaning tank, it works.

Please save both gtrs and build any one of them ❤
Yeah for that 24 Nissan I think you guys should build the baddest one in the nation that got tons of aftermarket parts you can make that thing super fast and sick looking
Just put the whole car in a tub of rice, leave it there for a bit. It will start right up.😂
Keep up the work
You guys can save anything
Crazy what salt will do. Amazing it just ate the pan away.
Shame, sad for what happened to Florida but it was warned and alerted just my heart goes out to all the loved and lost ones but Goonzquad my main guys always loving your videos keep it up #Goonzquad 2:03
I miss watching Thomas the technician and opening fan mail on your old garage. Those were some great Goonzquad memories. 😢😢😢
Reallllllly hope those plugs were out when you guys turned it over! lol
What a score
Hello from Las Vegas.
How much i would like the flood to be repaired! I would like to see it go towards the goonsquadz way of doing things! Use it for parts!!!
That thing will be a science project forever because of salt/ ocean water. Fresh waters a different story. Good luck.
You guys are totally awesome 👌
Get ahold of Tavarish down in Florida...he can answer any questions you might have on salt flooded cars...he's rebuilding a flooded P1

Sweet! Solid foundation why a parts car😮
❤️ BEST CHANNEL!!!
Awesome video guys
looks like a good saving gtr too lol 2 gtr goonzquad be awsome!!
😂😂😂😂 you don't need to take a bath 🛁🚿 now 😅😅😅
Yes you can get it working again but I guarantee that within a year it will turn into a major headache. Saltwater will clean but not without leaving a lot of hidden damage
Love your videos
I would like to see you guys crack open that engine! but I know you have to put together that 2024
The car was probably flooded in Helene, which was storm surge flooding. If it were Milton flooding, it could be flash flooding from rain water
Soo 😎 cool soo awesome it turns over
Oh i just want to see this gtr flodedd get start and run good
Your talent knows no bounds! Thank you for your creativity and dedication.🧬🌛◾️
That waterfall 😂🤣😂
i bet if you found the dryest atmophere in the country, like out in death valley, the dry atmosphere would try it all out automatically after sitting for 1 month
Flood damage is no joke. Wow.
Zambia 🇿🇲 is watching
Florida wants that big part of its ocean back.
Maybe try rebuilding a suv Cadillac escalade Ford Expedition. chevrolet suburban
