I recall walking the town over one late night, with students from beauty school. Beautiful small town with big ole houses. Native McDowell Co, so I know Bramwell well. Love Bramwell
My mom, aunts and uncle many cousins went to Bramwell high school, 1940-70. Belcher, coaldale mountain. Company store Blizzards. Free Will Baptist church, founded partly by my grandfather Jesse Franklin Belcher. Our family cemetery is there, but many are also in Princeton. I'm excited to watch this, I've spent time in the area all my life. Ha even lived in Bluewell 1969😂I was 4.😊
What a great way to start my day with a great video from Dan, thanks Dan for another awesome video you do a great job keep up the amazing work can't wait for the next video stay safe God bless and lots of love from West Virginia ❤️🙂
Dan I almost missed this video but that is a giant of a house. It takes a lot of up keep to maintain this grounds. Great view from the porch and I can’t imagine how things would look like in the house.
Just loved this video. Watching it second time. The couple who lives in the house with the backyard pond are so fortunate to live there. I always wonder how someone affords a place like that these days. All the millionaires made their fortune on the backs of the miners. I’ve watched the videos about the tribute to the miners who died in the mine accidents. Thank you for your channel and videos. You’ll soon reach that 1,000 subscriber goal with these great videos.
I have driven through this town several times and always thought the houses are absolutely beautiful. It’s breathtaking. If you haven’t heard of it or done a video on it yet you should look into the murders in Abbs Valley. The families name escapes my mind at the moment, but there was a family in Abbs Valley that were murdered by Indians and their house burnt to the ground, some of the women were kidnapped and raised Indian from what I remember. Moore was their last name. There is a historical marker out in the valley that talks about it. I believe it happened in the late 1700’s.
Was this the same town Leo and Heather did the story of the youngest boy charged with murder? I can't even imagine how the coal miners would feel seeing the opulence compared to their homes.
@@thehillbillyfiles thanks, such a sad case. The street corner looked similar but then a lot of the older towns do. Love the brick streets. Batesville, AR has them too.
Everything was beautiful. Thank you
