HIP HOP/RAP ALBUM
fun fact: DOOM didnt wanna rap on Sickfit cause he thought it was too good of a beat and just wanted to leave it lol
BV FARO Imagine if this had came out as a beat tape
Imo sickfit is one of the weakest songs on the album
@@Sauceman10_ you may think that because there is no DOOM on it adding another layer to the track but as an instrumental its one of the best on the album, like accordion and a few others are tracks made for vocals but on their own fall kinda flat.
@@AGD_27 accordion falls kinda flat with doom on it too, its just very clunky sapled and it gives it a tone but its sonicaly hard to swallow.
@@qj7827 Accordion's beat is flat for sure but I think DOOM's flow and rhythm adds to it in a musical way as well as lyrically and makes a great track out of a kinda shit beat but like I say I'm sure madlib made it like that for DOOM to finish off. I doubt he would have released that as an instrumental.

Andrew Sharpe It is just unbelievable, he definitely looked some up
Shnoobu what’s he gaining from that
10:20 this is a song from a very very old bollywood song. i looked it up and it ws released in 1975. There is no way Shawn saw that movie. Its not even good. I can say that because Im Indian and this movie isnt popular at all.
also the movie's name is Maha Chor literally translating to " Great (or Big) Thief "
H ya i thought the same, there's no way he knew this unpopular indian movie from 40 years ago

I get a slight nostalgia when listening to this album, I now know why
On does not simply recognize every Madlib sample
Ngl, I watch this vid like it’s a comedy sketch. Shawn overreacting and pretending like he didn’t just google the samples kills me every time.
Bro...a few songs in he says ohh damn madlib produced this no wonder its so crazy.. then on Americas Most Blunted he recognises the Fever Tree sample.. which was a 10 sec loop from a 1968 pyschadelic rock band 😂😂

1. Was a small reviewer at the time and wanted clout, perfectly understandable and I don’t hate him for it.

3. There’s a slum dog millionaire scenario where past events in his life led him to guessing every sample.

Shawn cee madvillainy incident
Where is it
Pls explain
@iyadhussein8517 The incident was Shawn pretending to know nearly every sample off the album.
Madlib doesn't even know where he gets most of his own samples but Shawn just happened to know off the dome. So it comes off as a tryhard or pretentious
I don't blame him, he was young and wanted to join the review culture back then. He still hasn't owned up to it, to this day.
I do respect that he didn't coware, delete the video and block comments, cause BOY! They were flaming him back then

Mekk but krino talks about the realest shit and has the best flow ever
dont even compare DOOM to eminem, DOOM is way more lyrical with an amazing flow.
MF DOOM's rhymes are insane.
FatPure7 yes his multis crazy
High Top Fade not just rhyme schemes
High Top Fade A dope line would be when DOOM says that he's innocent and he says "there's four sides to every story, if these walls could talk, they'd probably still ignore me" implying that there are different perspectives in a story and each perspective is ignored, but walls are used as a metaphor like there being four walls to every story in a building
puts every other rapper to shame who can usually barely pull off 2 rhymes in a row

Cozy Boy Astro he mentions it when he first hears ALL CAPS.

Fancy Clown is great and one of my favorites because of how weird it is.
The song is from the perspective of Viktor Vaughn rapping about his girl cheating on him with MF Doom. But Viktor Vaughn is another one of MF Doom stage names.
Point is, Doom is a mad genius. Or maybe, a Madvillain.
Tyler N i agree i learned to love this track and frankly it could be one of his best bc he keeps it so real. Didn’t know it was from the point of Viktor though thank you for that!

The fact that this man DOOM had nobody coming after him so he had to make beef with himself (Viktor Vaughn on Fancy Clown) is simply amazing. DOOM is one of a kind.
The only one who might stand a chance is Doom guy, and seeing that MF Doom is a hero and not a demon, would nod and walk away.
“Living off borrowed time the clock ticks faster.” Man LLMFD 💔💔💔💔💔💔.
Anyone watching HAS to understand how important production is to me. So when I hear amazing sounds, especially samples that remind me of something, I WILL speak on it. It defeats the point of a reaction to hold in how I feel about something until after it ends. Common sense
Shawn Cee Shawn Cee hey man do Ghostface Killah & BADBADBADNOTGOOD - Sour Soul the production is nice

ALL CAPS RIP TO THE LEGEND MF DOOM
The sample at the begging of Meat Grinders was Sleeping in a Jar by The Mothers of Invention (relatively underground 60's madman Frank Zappa was in that band). It's a live experimental avant-garde rock track recorded in 1968. Madlib will forever be my favorite producer, because anyone who has the balls to sample Zappa deserves all the praise in the world.
Madlib also sampled Gentle giant in Strange ways

You’ve always been in my recommended since I’ve followed Fantano and DEHH for years, and today I decided to give his video a listen due to how much I absolutely love this album and remember the visceral reaction I had to the samples, much as you did. And you remind me of myself man when I was younger and how I mentally catalogued strange music I would hear and then it would make my synapses just explode when I’d recognize it being used in hip hop or the genres they inspired like trip hop(if you haven’t done Portishead’s second album, maybe you should. Delicious production and sampling along with DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing). I dig that passion and you’ve got my sub.
