Just because Daniel Dumile is dead doesn't mean that the villain himself won't live on forever. RIP DOOM.

how poetic it is that the character was a mid 40s man and died as such. Dearly missed but mans love and reach is infinite fr. Thank you for this video
That demo tape will worth millions in 10 years
You wouldn’t have j electronica ,ghost face,Kanye west, without mf rip yo god u brought up there to get you out his way when wrath comes
If I came to a DOOM show and saw Hannibal Buress instead.. I'd still be happy
But unfortunately most of the impersonators aren’t Hannibal Buress
Yeah man, with Captain Murphy/Fly Lo, how could you complain?
That was fuckin Hannibal
Bruh, even if it were just some random imposter, I’d still be happy. Though I’m glad I’ve seen him live. Good dude.
It wasn’t even his show and he still took the stage without being there
Imagine being at a MF DOOM concert being near the bar enjoying the show talking to a stranger for several songs enjoying drinks and giving praise to DOOM only to find out the guy on stage wasn't DOOM and DOOM was the guy at the bar talking to everyone unmasked. I'll never forget that. 💯
Damn bro … he was vibing to his double!
Yooooo what a great memory! Bless up for sharing that and Long Live MF DOOM! The Genius of the Villainy
He's also got like a hundred bars about not being the one to perform on stage. "Emcee a show via WiFi, paid way before we wrapped it up like tie-dye", maybe "Plotting shows like robberies - 1, 2, 3, nobody's pleased" too. RIP DOOM.
True but I have seen people argue that it's no bodies please. Especially considering the next line is run the cash and you won't get a wet sweatshirt. Like he's saying he doesn't want to kill anyone but he absolutely will
@@Oliver_Hallowee Imo, it could go both ways. "No bodies, please" being robberies and killing bodies. "Nobody's please" being people aren't pleased he use doombots to perform his shows.
Do a show, same time watch it
This man was so seclusive that he was dead for TWO MONTHS and we had no idea. His family could’ve mourned in private for years without making a statement and we never would’ve known. A man of mystery to the bitter end.

A genius villain to the end. His legacy will make him a legend as long music is around

@Backcountry Bobcat It's horrible, and that's only a few. Hopefully we don't lose as many in the future.

🐐 rip villain
This was amazingly well done and I feel like I learned a bit more about my favorite rap god. I am so sad I won't hear anything new from him ever again but glad he blessed us with some legendary music :')
Don't lose hope yet, he was working on plenty of projects with other artists like madlib and flylo. Also this is the time a lot of the unreleased stuff comes out. So don't worry, we'll be hearing new stuff from him indeed!
I knew him personally, I can tell you everything you need to know, plus I have a bunch of unheard material.

I think him using dopplegangers on stage is also a direct reference to Doctor Doom, who frequently used "Doombots" (extremely convincing robot replicas of himself) to make appearances in places too risky for he himself to go. These bots would often get revealed or defeated to not actually be doom himself, but revealing this meant nothing because Doom was still at large. It only made him more of a villain and more intangible.
This has to stop! I showed up to a DOOM show and it was Neil Patrick Harris in a mask, and when I woke up this morning DOOM was in my bed and my wife was nowhere to be seen :(

@@OsmanOsman-ip6qc i edited it out of shame
First of all RIP to Daniel Dumile Youll forever be an inspiration to me and many others. Another reason why DOOM sends another person to perform for him its because Dr DOOM in the comics used to send DOOMbots to act like him so he never let his guard down and study his next enemy or in this case his audience. Reference to the Books of Doom.
This concept is so dope and one of the best ever used in hip hop

This video is bitter sweet to me. I haven't always been into rap. I started listing to the genre in quarantine, and I quickly starting enjoying it. When I heard doom passed, I decided to listen to him (I had never heard any of his songs before, or at least know I was listening to him.) He quickly became one of my favorites. As of 14 days ago, its been a year sense his passing. I love his style and just how he makes his music. Really sad that I didn't start listing to him earlier.
Madvillainy is absolutely one of the most unique and amazing albums I have ever heard. I still play it to this day
Times change, remember no one gave Doom his dues. You had to be a die hard underground rap fan to have had heard of Doom and his other albums under different names. This is a positive, talent being recognized for all the right reasons and all the right ways.
That’s just the way of the underground don’t matter what time no matter what genre don’t matter any of that underground cats are some of the realist real recognizes real bro
Definitely had to be a true hip hop fan to follow DOOM. I just realized that KMD was him and his brother. I remember when that album dropped in 94
Nah if you watch the boondocks you might know MF DOOM as well
@@ChineseGodfather where's he referenced in the bondocks?
I remember like 14y ago I first about him and Instantly got hooked on his beats and rhymes while nobody else around was digging that style. He and Madlib introduced me with their samples to so many albums and movies, especially to the movie The Fantastic Planet which is still my favorite absurd animation movie until today. I dont know if it was necessary to be a die hard fan, stumbled across him in Germany while listening to a super bad quality Internet underground rap radio🤣

Memories man, I haven't heard his music since I had the Victor vaughn album almost 20 years ago, need to go back into the vault and revisit these classics. Rip
I loved "Operation Doomsday" as soon as it came out, and heard Doom was coming to a local club in Philly named "Fluid" to perform (1999, or 2000). He stood in the DJ booth, which over looked the club (We could all see him), and PERFORMED THE WHOLE ALBUM. That's not the wild part, after the show he's outside selling DOOM T-shirts, and KMD shirts and then gets into a squabble. Beats the dude down, and goes about his night. I'VE BEEN A FAN EVER SINCE.

So no mention of kool keith who released Dr. Octagonecologyst as dr octagon in 1996, but had a single out as dr octagon in 1995, that had tracks that were instrumentals showcasing the dj cutting it up, and even released the album "first come, first served" as dr dooom in may 1999 as opposed to September of 99 when mf doom comes out. And no mention of dr doom's constant enemy ironman, which was the ghostface killa's cartoon alias, as wu tang members had both kung fu and cartoon aliases, and ghostface had his debut solo ironman, full of cartoon samples, burst on the scene in 1996. Not trying to diss mf doom but just saying i don't know that he's the puzzle piece you're missing, if you don't know kool keith or dr octagon, read up, listen up, before dan the automator helped damon albarn polish off his cartoon band gorillaz or find a more stable mc to storm the stage with in deltron 3030 he helped resurrect kool keith who had been rapping in the ultramagnetic mcs while wearing a cape back in 1988

@@BigSmiley0TV and Demon Days from Gorillaz was blessed by Danger Mouse
@@t.j._edits9669 true indeed, and having ban a fan of dan the automator i was nervous that he was replaced by danger mouse but that certainly was unwarranted fear as demon days was fantastic, and he even produced damon albarn with his project the good the bad and the queen which was a decent enough album, but i think albarn dropoed him for the the next gorillaz and probably favorite gorillaz album plastic beach, even if there are some better songs on other albums, plastic beach just seems more organized and complete as a vision.
