I'm a huge MF Doom fan, your live reviews are pretty fresh. No one else online reviews albums literally while they are hearing them for the first time. And hearing this album for the first time is a lot to take in!
Doom is in a league on his own when I first heard this LP, I loved how he fully embraced the whole marvel comics themes by heavily sampling the 1960's fantastic four and spider-man cartoons to generate most of the music and additional vocals on the tracks.

Even the actual CD case that this album came in when I first bought it back in 06-07 was clever. It was wrapped in like this plastic silver paper kind of like the pop tart packaging.
it's so amazing and wonderful to see somebody that age get into MF Doom for the first time, the mistakes, the Wonder and the things he's going to find out over the years of going into dooms body of work. Like he's gotten so much things wrong but it's beautiful because he's so into it and he's going to discover so much shit overtime. I'd definitely listen to Vaudeville Villain by DOOM. He uses the alias of "Viktor Vaughn" for that album. That album just has a grimier feel than his other work and his raps are more aggressive. Lots of crazy stories and great bars on there. I'd say that album, this album, and Madvillainy are his 3 best albums.
Never listened to Rap or R&B as a child much. Grew up in a metal head household. I love metal, but there was something about doom when i heard him on November Comes Again track on Demon Dayz. I'm here to see MF DOOM..
again
He produces a lot of his music, but he also does a lot of collaborations with more famous producers. Though DOOM, knows how to make a beat.
Even the actual CD case that this album came in when I first bought it back in 06-07 was clever. It was wrapped in like this plastic silver paper kind of like the pop tart packaging.
8:48 I think Earl Sweatshirt is like the next mf doom but there won’t ever be another DOOM🕊
Also 14:25 he raps this on special herbs album
Doom has crazy rhyme schemes, concepts and flow. love this album
it's so amazing and wonderful to see somebody that age get into MF Doom for the first time, the mistakes, the Wonder and the things he's going to find out over the years of going into dooms body of work. Like he's gotten so much things wrong but it's beautiful because he's so into it and he's going to discover so much shit overtime. My man I'm not going to tell you what you got wrong or what you got right I'm just marveling at the way you getting into this and I mean have fun, much love... ps yes ur brain will explode if u listen to too many Doom tracks in a day. Trust me mine up a long time ago.
Wainting on you to react on Quasimoto's "The Unseen"
Doom didn't master mumble rap, he mastered humble rap
Check out Dwight Spitz by Count Bass D, I found him through this album
Count Bass D is slept on, that album is soooo nice.
NOW YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO DANGER DOOM! THAT ALBUM DOES REFERENCES TO THIS ALBUM AND ITS FUCKING AMAZING
bro its a fucking must!
do it!
Danger Doom is 🐐🐐🐐
I am sofa king
Rob Robberson "hohohohohohohoho u say funny ting" LMFAO adult swim all day DOOM all day
One Beer, Kon Queso, and Hoe Cakes made me become a permanent doom fan. MM FOOD is Classic!!!
Charles Macro Same!!
Shawn Cee: Kendrick needs to call people out, be more hostile
Kendrick: Control,
Yo Shawn, you should make a video on Take Me To Your Leader by MF DOOM's alias King Geedorah
If I'mma be deadass, this album is his best imo and the greatest album to ever come outta the East Coast
bro new favorite youtuber because of your love for mf doom
Never listened to Rap or R&B as a child much. Grew up in a metal head household. I love metal, but there was something about doom when i heard him on November Comes Again track on Demon Dayz. Had to look him up after that and i havent looked back since. Dude has flow like no one i ever heard, so tongue in cheek and lyrically charged. Deff one of my favorite musicians currently.
Literally one of the greatest albums ever. No cap. Just amazing.
you should check out viktor vaughn (an mf doom alias) vaudville villain was 1st theb venomous villian was next. Definately worth a listen even if you dont review them
if you do check vaudville villain theres a hidden track at the end of the album like half way through the skit
+Chris Cox hidden track?
Mitch Passingham the change that beat track after the thunder storm
+Chris Cox oh right good lookin bro
Don't worry bout the samples mayne
its good to see the young kids get into DOOM. im such a DOOM nerd myself. if you like adult swim you should do The Mouse And The Mask for your next one. the producer from Gorillaz did the whole of the production with full access to the cartoon network catalog to sample from. DOOM goes John Wick on that shit.
Immediately subbed your knowledge of the art form is unparalleled
in relation to the villainy in that line "he plot shows like robberies" on one beer. you should look into doom using impostor dooms at his shows.
jankycc That s the doombots
3 years later, I really hope you finally understand what Kookies is about lol
Facts! lmfao
R.I.P. MF DOOM ( ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SAY HIS NAME)
I've been watching your reviews for the past like 2 hours, dead ass. But I'm enjoying this alot, some people do reviews and half ass it or speed through it for the likes or whatever but I appreciate how you dive in, get in depth and really give your genuine opinion. It makes me happy to see people reacting so "transparently" for a lack of better words, to music I vibe with as well. Keep doing your thing man.
Fun fact: The current version of kookies is a completely different version to what was on the original pressing due to sample clearance
You can find the original version by searching Kookies 2004
Surprised no one has mentioned to check out Lupe's Tetsuo and Youth. Your head will explode on just the second track on the album. I love Doom tho. Favorite rapper of all time. Lupe has bars. Check him out.
React to P.E.E.P: The aPROcalypse by Pro Era!
