As a parent of two I nod my head, vans are the best tool for the job. Can haul 4x8 sheet goods, I've had 12' lumber fit inside with the hatch closed and packed everyone and everything including a pet for long trips.

Lots of positives being talked about with the Hybrid version of the Pacifica. A major drawback for me is that you lose stow and go in the second row...where the Hybrid's battery goes. No way do I want to lose stow and go in the second row. I love having stow and go space in both second and third row, Something to think about for those considering the Hybrid.

My 2020 Chrysler Pacifica just turned 200,000 miles and has been driven in all lower 48 states. No major issues except the dealer charged me $600 to change a fog light. I still have my orginial brakes. Flushed transmission, changed spark plugs and I’m ready for another 100,000 miles. I would not own any other van, I love this van. I’m looking for another one. Oh, good mileage and tires last forever, about 85,000 miles

Until people realize one thing, if you maintain a vehicle very well regardless of make, they will last a long time. If you don't, it is your own fault for not maintaining the vehicle meticulously.
As an experienced Service Advisor who worked for Chrysler many years, I can speak from experience how well maintained Chryslers lasted an awfully long time with very high mileages and just wear and tear repairs such tires or brakes.
Personally, I have owned many Chryslers and none of them gave me any major problems until later on in their life.
Bottom line is to maintain ur vehicle well.
Yes there are certain vehicles that are an exception to the rule where no matter how you maintain it, it still gives you repeated issues. However, in this day and age that is only 5 to 10% of the vehicles these days.

Shahji Mangalam Very true but each car manufacturer does have their cars that aren’t reliable, even Toyota. I think Chrysler gets a terrible rep for poor reliable when GM and Ford aren’t much better.

Yes this is so true, I keep my 2006 Lincoln Town Car maintained, mostly oil changes with the exception I had to replace the rear suspension air bags & pump last summer other than that no issues. I'll eventually get the transmission serviced as I add more miles to my car & then a tune up eventually. Yes that's the key word keep up with maintenance as needed especially oil changes.

People keep leaving comments about how bad Chrysler reliability is. I own a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan and in 3 years not one problem. My sister bought a 2015 Honda CRV a couple month later and it has been in 5 times to the service department. My aunt has a 2005 Honda Odyssey and from day one is has had problems. I owned Toyotas for 26 years and yes I had problems. My last car was a 1998 Toyota Avalon and I had that car for 18 years. From the very first day it had electrical issues, but it came and went. Most of the time everything worked fine. I take very good care of my cars and so far I love my Dodge minivan. Before I bought one I asked people driving one if they liked the Dodge or had problems, most said they liked their Dodge and had very few issues. Do buy what you like. You never know if you will get a lemon or not.

The problem isn’t the engineering behind the vehicle on Chrysler’s. It is the manufacturing. What makes Toyota’s built so well is that if the people at the factory do a good job the can move up to Lexus. The people at Chrysler slap their cars together and try to push them to the dealers. I noticed that with my Ram but once the dealer fixed the problems from the factory the truck has been very reliable.

I had the same clunking/ clicking noise. It has transpired to numerous repairs, lies, and jumping through hoops. At this point and with legitimate reason, the vehicle is being purchased back under lemon law. It’s a shame, otherwise outstanding vehicle, poor half-shafts. I will miss it, to a degree. On a side note, there have been over 1200 reported cases thus far and seem to be mainly affecting very top trim level from the 2017 batch.

Kevin F they gave the Hybrid version “heavy duty” suspension vs the gas version, for what that’s worth. The battery pack is only a few hundred pounds and the overall van is lighter than the outgoing T&C despite being bigger through the use if aluminium etc so I don’t see it as being a problem. I have to think any automotive engineer worth their salt would know how to deal with a few extra hundred pounds on a vehicle.

"Plug-in Hybrid version doesn’t have stow ‘n go seats though." The plug-in only gives up second/middle row stow & go, as the battery is there. In exchange, it actually gets beefier and more comfortable second row seats. As such, the 8th seat (middle second row) isn't an option. It does retain the 3rd row stow & go. For me, giving up a gimmicky 2nd row stow & go and uncomfortable 2nd row seats in exchange for a 33 mile all-electric capability, plus normal hybrid capabilities after that (average MPG rises from 22 combined to a whopping 32, insane for a minivan), it's so worth it.

Adam Douglas LMAO - Chrysler is owned by FCA which also makes Alfa Romeo. They’ve gotten a lot better since the Italians took them over in 2010. Just look at how nice all of the interiors are on everything from the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 to the Chrysler Pacifica and Alfa Romeo Guilia. Sergio Marchionne has really turned Chrysler around into a respectable and most importantly profitable company again.

However the stereotypes of Chrysler equals garbage still remain.
