I now understand why everything was so precise at my cousin's funeral after he was brought home from Vietnam. Tom's parents wishes were granted, even right down to the smallest detail. Bless these men that told of their "brother."
ive seen this 3 times in my life.once for my dad, once for grandpa and last for my nephew when he was brought home from Iraq. What these Marines do is simply amazing
My dad was a WW2 combat Marine veteran ……he passed in 2004 and the Marine Corps allowed three Marines to dedicate his funeral…..it was sad and more emotional when they played taps. Everyone was in tears, but the Marines were so professional and people paying their respects many came up afterwards to comment on how beautiful the Marine Corps tribute was…..Semper Fi.
I recently attended a Marine burial. It's amazing the care they have for their fallen comrades. So Thank to all whom have served . Rest in peace to those whom have passed. Semper Fi. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I was my grandfathers Pallbear it was not easy. I seen military funerals in movies and games but never in real life until when my grandfather was laid to rest. He served in the navy during the Korean war on board the battleship Missouri. It was the hardest day of my life.
My Stepdad was in the Army. At his funeral they flag folders were standing right in front of me...I was mesmerized by the whole process. Not even sure I blinked until they were completely finished and handing it to my Mom. It was definitely something I will never forget! Thank you to all that serve our great nation. Your sacrifice and dedication to protect the lives of people like me is greatly appreciated and never forgotten! God Bless you all!!! ❤️🤍💙
Oh my God this video IS by far the most tear jerking video. I cried so much because it reminds me of my cousin Michael. I miss him so much. God bless you guys. 🇺🇸
Gentlemen of the USMC. I am ever so thankful. 2008 I lost my brother Timmy. We had a full honor funeral at our parish in Chicago. We also had a bagpiper as my 4 brother's, his son and I carried his casket. God bless you!
damn. they upgraded the strength test. it used to be bench 225 ten times, military press 135 ten times, and curl 115 ten times. now they made it to 20 reps and added 315 squats. that 's some good training right there. hell yeah!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙
I was on a handful of burial details in the 90s, mainly WWII Marines but there was one Vietnam Marine. It was all voluntary. It sucked but there was never any shortage of Marines volunteering when it was announced we were needed for a burial detail, it was an honor.
I was a regular Bearer for a funeral home. Its something you really need to be on point. These guys are the real deal. Thank you for what you do. I understood everything they said. It's not easy to be the last person to bring in & out of church & lay you down to rest. Scary.
I realize it doesn't sound like much, but when I see a veteran, I always thank them for my freedom. This is because I would not be free unless they fought for me.
"On behalf of the President of the United States, the United States Marine Corps, and a grateful nation, please accept this flag as a symbol of our appreciation for your loved one's honorable and faithful service."
God bless you for what you do and give every Marine and their family closure and I hope to be laid down by the BB's as an 0311 and the yes 11b I couldn't stay away from combat. Its up to my kids when I take my last breath. Semper Fi Devs
"Please accept this flag..." is when what it was that my older brother gave his life for really hit home... He didn't give his life serving his country... he gave his life, without hesitation, to protect his brothers that he loved so much. And as devastating as it all was for me and my parents... proud is how i would describe the feelings i have about my brother's death. The men he died saving all made it home... so he did not die in vain... and his final act on this earth was one of courage, honor, and loyalty. He died a warrior's death... with his boots on and fighting beside his brothers. Celebrating his finest hour always seemed more appropriate to me. Rest easy Marine... We got the watch now... "The eagle born to those who pledged their lives and sacred honor was smiled upon by God and freed from chains and iron collar. He is held aloft on unity and by history revered; for preserving peace through strength, his wings now reach across two hundred years. But for each of those and one year more, God has smiled upon The Corps. From the Barbary Coast to the Eastern Sand... by sword... by gun... or by bare hand... So it's been and shall be weighed... though many are born... few are "made". Faithful Always... they shall remain... dogs to loose when war is waged..." Semper Fi Marine...
Once a marine always a marine Thank you to all of our marines who go above and beyond the call of duty We are eternally grateful for you and your commitment to the safety and security of the United states of America
I came here to watch this video to see perfection but it was the mother at :48 that gave me tears for the whole video. I thank every marine for fighting for the worlds freedom, including mine and my neighbors. Once a marine, always a marine, in life and death.
I'm not sure how this will go down but I think it should be soldiers that know the fallen to carry them and to lay them to rest. And before anyone says anything yes I have carried and layed a friend/ fellow soldier to rest. It was one of the hardest and proud things I have ever done.

0:23 is such a striking image. It’s as if the ghosts of those who have gone before us comes rushing out and surrounds those Marines. Semper Fi
Didn't see it that way but now it means something to me
I didnt think much of it when I first saw it when I looked again it sent chills down my back.
Indeed, thought exactly the same. It sent chills down my body when I saw it. And it happened in a split second

If its me, i rather get carried by my brother, rather than some random horse
