Comparing The DeWALT TStak Jobsite Radio/Charger and Craftsman VersaStack Radio/Charger 20V
Thanks for this. I have the craftsman simply because I got it free but I will say these are huge and a pain to lug around. Still a great jobsite tunes, put it in the middle of your work space and you can here it everywhere. but they don't get that loud.
I bought mine when they had the $99 battery free tool promotion. A couple days ago I found them on clearance for $50 a piece. Truly amazing deal
best thing to take away from this is that the versa stack apparantly is exactly the same as the dewalt for probably half the price.
Dewalt and Craftsman are own by Stanley the T-Stack and the Versastack are the same system.
But did come by this video to see if they could stack together. Thank you.
why would you wanna do that?
The best thing it's that I don't know where to buy them from .. I'm in Houston I swear you go to the store and they don't have them or vacuums not even online..
They’re not selling them in the stores no more and online
Craftsman 20v battery is compatible with black and decker battery, and porter cable with modifacation. Dewalt is compatable with bostichs 20v battery with molding also.
What is the modification for the Porter Cable battery?
@Anthony Greco All the tool brands you mentioned are all owned by the same parent company, Stanley Black and Decker. You would hope they would have been a little more alike
Battery modification for Porter cable please?
Nice
I am a milwaukee man but chosen craftsman over packout radio because the sound quality between two are almost on par, milwaukee is slightly better but not $200 more better ))
Is it mono or stereo
Will the batteries interchange in either radio?
No
No, some have tried to work around that. but, without success.
is the dewalt louder sound than crafstman?
These two are identical in sound, but if you go with the Dewalt Tough System radio, it's louder (and better FM reception) than of these radios.
Similar isn’t quite accurate, I would say identical design, just different color and branding.
I would have thought the obvious difference would be one is DAB the other isn't
How much is the craftsman
I had picked one up at Menard's in MN at the 11% off and on sale for about $130.
Free now when you buy battery and charger at lowes. $100
@@TheWinwin4all i just got that deal today
Has anyone found a way through service parts to "hack" the Craftsman to allow charging of Dewalt batteries? I know they are "keyed" differently so u can't easily swap batteries but I would bet they build these identically except for the charge ports and screen graphics along with a tweak to the software to tune the Dewalt to sound louder as justification for the higher price.
Hoping some service parts would allow a swap of the charger at a reasonable cost. Did that w my Dewalt 779 saw adding parts to turn it into a 780 w the xps light.
Lowes currently has the craftsman as a free item when u buy a 4ah starter kit. Yep.... $99 gets u a battery, charger and the radio. Could not believe it...
I'm wondering the same thing 🤔 I have dewalt tools only and would love to add this to my versastack/tstak storage system. The dewalt tstak radio is almost unavailable and because of scarcity the price is $300 and more!
Could you direct me to that Lowes promo by any chance? That's too good of a deal to pass up when it's so hard to find the dewalt right now, sold out a lot of places.
@@AaronLorch91 just find the craftsman battery starter kit with the 4ah battery and it should have a banner on it saying it comes with a free gift. You have to pick the radio as your free gift.
Great deal. $99
The DeWalt will charge 12 volt batteries as well as the 20 volt
And 54 volt
No am. Sucks. Can't listen to Dan Bongino.
Probably get the station online
fuck a dewalt. ill always stick to my craftsman
Same company now
@@jeffscomp half the price for craftsman tho
I thought the Dewalt was louder and sounded better at 1/2 volume. But I wouldn't buy the Craftsman brand since they started tearing apart Sears.
Craftsman is not owned by Sears.
They have the same speakers bud
Craftsman had nothing to do with Sears demise. The only reason Craftsman is still around is its name.
Nobody cared about Sears mismanaged practices but the moment Craftsman started falling behind, several investors tried to acquire the brand. In America, name brands sell
Was Craftsman the first name brand to take back broken/faulty hand tools such as tape measures,, ratchets,, wrenches etc. and replace them with new ones at the store you bought them from? I remember breaking my tape measure a few times and you could bring in said tape and they'd give you a new one no questions asked. I also did this with a hammer a few times. I thought that was awesome bc it was like buying one tape measure or whatever for the rest of your life.
@@truesince8296 yeah they were pretty much the first tool company to normalize the lifetime warranty on hand tools.
