by the way, the Korean community in Baguio also participate in Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City, its a colorful festival that showcases colorfull floats with different designs, wrapped with different types of flowers of Baguio, with people in different costumes or traditional clothes marching along the session road. You must see it next year, that will be a great experience for sure
Stay safe 🙏..It's now signal no.3 in most areas of Northern Luzon including Mountain Province. Do not try to travel down the zigzag road of Baguio during these stormy weather as it is prone to landslides or flashfloods..Better stay at home..
13:33 i noticed this in k-drama and in this video too. Koreans really used the rice over soup method (dipping a spoon of rice or putting a cup of rice in the soup). in Filipino, it's the opposite, we are more familiar with the soup over rice method (you put the soup on the plate or bowl that has already rice in it. I'm not sure if it's connected to how we eat a meal the first thing we put on plate is rice then the viand.

04:40 this is not a Baguio traditional dance, but a dance of a different tribe of the Cordilleras. Original tribe of Baguio are the Ibalois. They have red, black, and white colored tribal clothings.
Good Food and beautiful scenery. I recommend Northern Blossom Flower Farm. The trip is long but it’s worth it. You should visit it with the kids sometime. It’s nice if you go there very early to watch the sunrise.
Wait til you experience Panagbenga Festival. It’s the festival you wouldn’t wanna miss. But be careful also, bc it will be packed with people from all over the Philippines.

Hello! Lovely to watch your family enjoy Baguio. Also, we usually have a separate plate for the soup and rice. What we usually do is put a spoonful of soup first on top of rice, add a bit of meat, then fish sauce and eat it. Afterwards, we sip the soup separately with a spoon or directly in the bowl depending on the crowd we’re in. We do mixing of soup and rice as well usually when the soup is about to be finished so as not to waste remaining soup. But yes, we do mix it as well from time to time, like Gogbap. 😅🎉❤
Please visit the baguio public market, especially the hanger market and discover the diverse fresh produce, I think you will have a good experience of the baguio public market
Try to visit the UNESCO 8th wonders of the world-“Banaue Rice Terraces” in Ifugao, one of the provinces of Cordillera and its just 4-5 hours away from Baguio. Or if so visit all the Provinces of Cordillera while you’re still in Baguio like Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Abra and Apayao it’s all great provinces to visit and get along with the local.
Hope you could also visit Atok and the Northern Blossom Flower Farm. It is especiallt beautiful on the months of Dec-Feb with all the flowers blooming. If you on the adventurous side you can also do overnight camping at Mount Olis and Mount Timbak, and visit the highest highway point in tinoc ifugao
More people during Panagbenga middle of February mostly tourist coming outside Baguio….don’t travel this week there’s a strong typhoon coming….go to Outlook road a lot of restaurants nice place to eat sorrounded with Pine tree…..

Your family will have more fun next year when you experience Panagbenga Festival there in Baguio which is a month-long festival that starts on the first day of February with an opening parade. Activities celebrated throughout the month include a landscape competition and cultural shows; street dancing and float parades during the last week of February wherein the Korean community joins in the parade wearing the beautiful hanbok costume.

Not common but some Filipinos tend to put rice also directly into soup. I think it's more common with noodles soup. It's very comforting especially on cold or rainy days. TBH, I am doing it as well.
