I work in a shop that does this professionally, we turn out a Silverado hit like this in about two weeks. The fact that you did this in your drive way with no air tool is super impressive...keep up the good work
The fact that you not only included your son in the project but did an amazing job too is astonishing and really inspirational, i remember growing up and working on cars with my father, it was one hell of a thing to do and something that really helped us bond, keep up the good work and im so happy youve found success in doing something you love as well as being able to include your child in it, and im proud of you for being interactive with your subscribers and comment section too, you are as i believe what all youtubers should be, a true inspiration
Thanks msn really appreciate it!! It’s fun to reply back, also get helpful hints and ideas, I’m not an expert so anything I can learn from others i soak up. My boy loves helping a ton, girl not so much but I’ll keep trying lol
You have a lot more patience than I ever would have. It was spectacular body work you done and how clean you did it, the body lines turned out amazing and perfect. And the one thing people don't understand is that this type of work doesn't take days but months or years to get it done correctly and accurately to get it to that perfect image. All I can say is great work you are truly an inspiration.
Man ... the little man is just as hard working As Dad . Really awesome to see you spend Quality time with him and accomplish a project. I know it’s a lot more time but worth every memory. Hug that little man from us ! Great work btw
well those wheels i had to put on because i sold my other ones to get new parts, also they were perfect for a burn out lol ....in the video where i installed the lift i installed 35s with new wheels
FixItNick how did you did that burnout?did you just disengage the traction control or did something else?. I have the. Same truck but I’d never attempted to do a burnout yet lol. It only has 10,000 miles. Great video by the way
if you press traction button, you will get TC on the dash, but it doesnt actually turn of TC, you have to actually hold the traction button for about 5 sec till you get a notification saying stabilitrac is off.

Yea I could have skipped the air bags and saved like $1,000 but might as well do it all right. Just redid headliner for $150 will be putting it in this week I hope
Man that kid definitely knows what he’s doing smacking it to make sure it can take the beating from some rocks and other things good job lil man and to you too for letting him help
I only need to tell you that this video is awesome .. I never see such type of restoration in my life . The truck is amazing and the mechanic who worked on it is fabulous salute you bro awesome work ...
TheGriz the shop who wrote the estimate likely wrote according to GM repair procedures. That being said fixing a vehicle to GM standards isn’t always cheap. Likely why it was a total. This guys way isn’t necessarily “wrong” just not the way GM would spec the repair.
I’m not a Chevy person, but that’s I good looking truck. You did a great job! Thank you for sharing this video with all of us. I enjoyed watching it. You had an awesome helper. Little man did a great job.
i replaced them, but it was at night, it looked boring so i didnt include it into the full build video, however its, i did the vid in parts, in Part 8 here i removed them all then i think part 9 or 10 installed them. ua-cam.com/video/IYj2KvCEIxk/v-deo.html

Thx appreciate it !! I hope to have shop one day lol
Bro the only reason it took 2 weeks was because you didn't have a kid to help
God, people these days.
Where’s the shop? My Silverado just got totaled yesterday. Looking to rebuild it
honestly the only reason that the truck looks that good is because the kid did all the hard work
haha yup
JOSETHEBEAST22 no give this man his credit though for real. You got some talent dude!
Optic ForSyth I did I said the truck looks good
dude check the video again and see the wheel plates when the car came and check when everything was done the wheel plates were different....

You're incredibly talented man..... After highschool I want to be just like you...... Thank you for showing me my dreams are possible....
Thank you bro, honestly it’s all hands on learning.

Idk what he did but just hold the traction control button till it and stabilitrack are off. Thats what i do but i have a 2012 not a 2017
if you press traction button, you will get TC on the dash, but it doesnt actually turn of TC, you have to actually hold the traction button for about 5 sec till you get a notification saying stabilitrac is off.
The kid is the real star of the show! Lol!

If I weren't super jealous I'd say this is super cool. All I've been able to rebuild are late 2000's Hondas.
its because you feel comfortable with it, obviously you have the skill just gotta expand it to other makes if you wish
Christina Andwena wow dude that's awesome. Keep rebuilding late 2000 Hondas please
Very very good job! There´s nothing like repair the truck yourself! I like the final song: Amadeus - Superior, greetings from Pamplona!
Thanks bro
Very nice... also pretty much answered most questions in the description which most youtubers dont do.. and to think you "could" have skipped out on all the airbags and saved even more.. but 50k truck for almost half price.. nice job bud.

Was it easy to fix everything behind the wheel on the front driver's side?
behind the wheel like suspension? only top upper control was bent.
Yeah that is what I was meaning and that's a good thing that only one thing was bent.
That is the smartest 1 year old mechanic I ever seen great job little guy

Temporary mounting of mirrors !! Ingenious!
That chair trick for the doors, was pretty clever. I've never seen that done before! Great job on the truck, too! 😁
Thank you lol , that chair works so good
Very good Bro
Thank you
how the hell is that a total? super easy repair.
TheGriz the shop who wrote the estimate likely wrote according to GM repair procedures. That being said fixing a vehicle to GM standards isn’t always cheap. Likely why it was a total. This guys way isn’t necessarily “wrong” just not the way GM would spec the repair.
Sometimes it looks worse than it is and estimators give a huge number so insurance just totals it
GM repairs would have replaced the cab, box, and front fender & doors. Labor costs would have been insane.
I work in a body shop. We would have repaired it the same way, and have repaired way worse before.

Daddy's pretty! Accustoms the little son to the right thing! Greetings from Russia, Moscow :)

That little guy😘😘😘
haha thanks
At the end of the day is it actually worth buying rebuilt trucks? And if so what’s the time limit to owning it before it looses all its value
To me yes because I fix it all, usually if I end up at 40-50% bellow retail fixed than I know I can make 15-20% on resale
Usually those are people who drove it into a ditch themselves and they don't want to file an insurance claim and just sell it privately. Title is still clean. You can make a lot of money from fixing those up and selling them cause they are usually dirt cheap.
who cares if youre the one driving it everyday.
