tournament season starts next month for me and my coaches are suggesting i play wing spiker, and what better way to prepare than to watch someone else's perspective of it :p
Actually watching someone’s perspective is pretty cool in my opinion because once you watch them do it you can do the same thing if you get what I mean instead when people try to show you how in a camera’s perspective But this guy does it in his point of view. So I think it’s better this way 👍
@smhelon yeah I am in the same situation, my season starts in a few weeks and my coach said I would be best as left wing spiker so I am watching these videos to prepare and "train" even when I don't have training.
just found out about your channel, its so awesome!! i'm a setter, but my coach is having my play outside a lot more, and one thing i would recommend is having your setter push your sets further out, it'll allow you to hit more of a direct line but still have the option for angle. just something i'd recommend and i've been learning recently, love the videos!!
I trying to learn to hit line but I'm still having trouble. I get set 42s so I can cheat and cut cross really sharp. I'll keep that in mind though! Thanks!
8:28 So I participate in this volleyball course at a community college, and we mix up the advanced, intermediate, and beginners in one class (Im a beginner). So, earlier this week on Tuesday, I was trying to dig a spike but ended up getting hit hard on my right eye, right side of the head by the ball. It only stung because he didnt get good contact on the ball but it was funny. Volleyball is such a fun sport, so underrated.
Same, I just started playing volleyball, I’m in grade 8, but sadly the season already ended for me, I’m gonna try to get in the team next year as well and maybe even in high school
@@beecarrot6812 it’s underrated in a lot of places because people don’t even want to try it. Went through 6 years of secondary schooling wanting to try it, but I never got the chance until the last month of my final year, because by that point literally no one attended PE but my friends
@@beecarrot6812 it’s underrated in the U.S at least. Most schools don’t even have a platform for it so most people never get to try it out. (Women’s volleyball is an exception)
Our tournament season starts in 3 weeks but I got corona so I am loosing 2 weeks of practice. This is helping soo much cause I personally make mistakes and this teaches me to learn them and gives me some tips about being a left wing spiker .THANKS A LOT:)
I play volleyball but im not that great but im slowly improving and hope to join the volleyball team this year after I get a little more fit and a bit skinnier love your videos to makes me feel like I learn some stuff from it cuz its a lot harder to learn from national games and stuff this is less fast paced so thanks😊
Im so glad that i can just play basketball on the streets and i dont have to rent a whole gym and get a shit ton of equipment and set it up every time i want to train/play
I’ve always wanted 2 play volleyball and I still do .....but I can’t find any schools with volleyball so I sit here watching everybody else experience my dream that I’m still so eager 2 play til this day.....I’m just waiting for the day I can finally play volleyball....
@@NokkunVolleyball Hey Nokkun, ur from the same city as moomoocowjonny, right? So I want to know what are u studying at college and if it's dificult to go to another country for study, is it expensive? I'm asking that bc i wanna study in japan or canada
@@guitaveira-5299 Yeah I am from Santa Barbara. I study Communications and Audio Production. Studying in a foreign county isn't too difficult, you just have to fill out a lot of paperwork to apply for a visa. The reason why many don't study internationally is because it is hard to take the leap. Moving to a foreign country without knowing the language is pretty intimidating. When I first came to Japan I couldn't even form a sentence in Japanese, I just figured things out and used a lot of hand gestures lol. As for price, studying in a foreign country is much cheaper than in America, the highest cost is the plane ticket over. My tuition is significantly cheaper than that of my previous college (which was in Massachusetts). If you have the ability to, I definitely recommend going to school outside of your home country, you learn so many things and explore so much about other cultures.
@@NokkunVolleyball ohh I understand, I have to talk about that with my parents. I'm sorry for disturbing you but I have one last question, do you know if japan is a good place for people who want to work with cyber security (Ethical hacking)? What do u think about the colleges in japan?
@@guitaveira-5299 I'm not too sure about that, I know my school has a computer science major but I don't know if it delves into cyber security. There might be some colleges here for that though since Japan is so technologically advanced.
thank you for your videos i just found them and im watching this video because i to am a left wing but my team always loses im watching for some tips to help win our last match of the season hope i win
I just came across your channel and ive been watching a bunch of your videos, they are very entertaining! question, what height do you have the net set at?
hi I know I am not a pro or anything but when u jump serve u have to apply something called top spin. This helps to make the ball go down. When I observed ur jump serve, u did more of a floater than a top spin. Means u rely on ur height more of top spin so normally the ball won’t go as down. If the setter gives u one that u can spike straight down, you can spike with your whole palm straight down. However if the set is far, u can also apply top spin. i don’t know how to explain what top spin is but u can search on UA-cam to better understand what top spin is and how it helps. Thank you and also u are a great player
Make sure your arms (the platform for the ball) are not what is moving when you pass, instead use your legs. Passing a volleyball is the same motion as doing a squat. Swinging your arms makes ball control unpredictable. If you only move your legs to generate power and keep your arms steady than you can control the ball with ease.
I was planning to become an ace or libero if there's a volleyball club in the senior highschool im going to enroll, but if I don't have the chance then maybe in college. But being a spiker is what i actually wanted to do. I'll do my best!
