you guys play 3 sets, and on the same side as you started?? maybe it’s different where i am, but we play two sets and switch sides on the second one
@@Ryshell69 oh ya i noticed that too and same. we switch each set and if it goes to a third set we switch sides at 8 points

Really interesting to see a high school team play 6-2*. The other setter looked a bit inconsistent at times but he did the job. It looked to me like the other team was relying too much on their number 11 and 15. Congrats on the win and hope there's more to come

the form during your set at 9:20 is honestly amazing
no it wasnt he kicked his leg back which puts off the consistency of te sets, which is why the set was short to the opposite, which is why you see micah christenson, and alot of other pro's, how their legs and body dont really move, its very neutrak,
@@rahh899yeah but non competitive volleyball player see a jagged motion and think it’s great form. It just looks flashy but it isn’t the best set

Love the communication involved! Addicted to the way number 13 serves, the ball spin before the serve and the powerful serve! Also, loved how number 11 can serve anywhere and the accuracy! Great game and congrats for the win!

Did it not touch the roof (in Australia its the equivalent of it touching the ground) during that rally i was a little confused why the point continued to play
@@dinext740 In the US, the roof rules varies a bit. Just depends on what the local rule says. But where I play if the ball touches the roof but doesnt cross into the opponent's court, you are allowed to continue playing.
Whats a 4-2?
@@Nova-rx1cw it’s a 4 hitter 2 setter rotation. The setter that rotates to the back becomes a back row outside hitter. So you’ll always have a setter and 2 attackers in the front row. It’s not a common rotation but if you have 2 versatile setters who can also hit and receive well, it’s not a bad rotation to run especially at high school.

Congrats! I think it’s awesome that you won the state championship in NY. I played with my team and won the Section IV championship but we had no idea there was a state championship. Congrats notheless though.

This is a great game, im half way through and you guys are just opposites. Im not sure if it was on purpose but the spenceport loves the slow 2nd or 3rd temp attack down the middle which workd the beat against you guys which long the quick outside hits which are beautiful. When you guys hit middle attacks they were even more beautiful than the opposing teams which did it more often which is saying something. So it is awesome to watch some great teamwork and sharp skills

As a volleyball player its amazing to me how they can spike it so hard yet with so much control
#11 OH for spencerport is phenomal! great form, great energy transfer on his take off, and super efficient arm swing. The only thing that kept him from controlling the game was the setter was forcing the ball to him and they were dying inside.

Hopefully volleyball will grow into a bigger sport like how pickle ball did in such a short time. I would love to play volleyball more in the US. Japan’s volleyball is something the US needs.
One of my goals is to help volleyball grow it’s an amazing sport!

Is it your dad cheering for you throughout the video? Well done on your win, but your dad is also amazing. I played for my high school and got a bronze medal at the provincial tournament, and yet my parents were never there for any of my games. In fact I don't think they were ever present at any of the sporting or talent events I was in. Watching this got me wishing my parents were there to see me play.
You guys can still play the ball if it hits something out of the court? I saw the ball would return to the court some how and still be played.
