Concentration is something you can learn and practice. If someone in your life is struggling with concentration, the first step is to teach them how to concentrate, and the second step is for them to practice it to become better at it.
Have empathy and compassion for yourself when learning about concentration. You were probably never taught how to concentrate or how the mind works in school so while you are in the process of learning how to do it, you can’t expect perfection right away.
In everyday life, people make the mistake of telling others to focus without acknowledging their lack of training e.g. big companies tell their employees to focus without having taught them how to focus in the first place.

Thank you so very much for all that you teach dear Sir Jim Kwik & Dandapani. You're my favourite teacher online 💛
I am been suffering from TBI and PTSD. And I'm on medication since past one month. Nexito 10 mg & I keep clonaz for urgent cases. I am having nerve pain in chest and neck area sometimes. Is it due to vitamin B deficiency or the head injury. My MRI & scans shows normal. But the pain still remains on back side of the head where I was hit numerous times by a some guys.
Thank you for blessing with your advises.

@@nikhilarora5344 You're right. Its not the actual multi tasking we/our brain is doing, rather it is time sharing. Same concept is used in Operating systems where we talk about multi tasking but with a single CPU, it does always one task but the switch between processes is so fast that we can't realize and we think it is doing multi tasking. For multi tasking to happen, there should be multi processors(analogous to having multiple brains). With single brain, at any point in time, one thing can be done. Apologies if I am wrong...

I have been struggling my life with ADHD ,and dispersion for 17yrars . Maybe more than that , started getting medication for 8 years , all I have heard is I have to deal with it.
It took 17years to me to figure out that cause of all these bullshit sicknesses is concerntation. I practiced , forced myself to too hard finally I could rewire my brain and completely got rid of all my mental issues . Last week I suddenly become someone entirely different and feel like a genius who knows everything. I am 37 now. My life just started .. 😊

@@anmolkaur6873 first u need to understand the theory behind all these bad things among us . It's about the wrong program which we made unconsciously during our Life Time. In order to change it for better, we need rewrite the bad program in us to a better one. There are 3ways to do that
      Hypnosis
Brain shock treatment (I am not really familiar with)
Or being on the present moment.
I chosed "being on present moment"
Need to stay every second on the present moment and make mistakes
Right day today life while being positive . Should never let your mind travels in to past or future if it's not necessary for just a moment in case. You won't get resalt over night , coz there's a bad program that already chronicled in side you which needs to be replaced by a New one. So u need to stick with that practice for awhile.
Think we have 24hours per day , we sleep at least 7hours then do the math , we got 17hours usually we stay awake. During this 17hours u need to stay on the present moment positively as much as you can to rewrite the program. The time is depending on how long u can do it.
Our old program is very solid and like a railway track that keeps the train runs on it. So it will always pull u back in to thy track when u feel negative and lost your emotions always . So what u basically do is making a strong solid program just like a different rail track within you.
Successful people also did the same thing but not knowing this secret . I hope this information would helps.

this was exactly what I needed. I'm finding it very hard to focus on my studies, my awareness keeps drifting away which makes studying way harder, it's taking me more time than it should. This is my "aha" moment when I noticed that I really need to work on my concentration, thank you both. My aha moment here was when Dandapani said " imagine you've been practising distraction for 20 years, you'd be so good at it" which is true in my case. I've said this many times in the past. "Med-Ed" (meditation training) should have as much a place in our schools as "Phys-Ed" does now. Concentration/Focus training, gratitude practice, goal setting...so many things in our school system should take precedence over what is currently taught.

Well, one must breathe all the time, why not focus upon your breathing even just for a few minutes per day, especially in the morning. Feel the breath going in and out at the tip of the nose, notice when the mind drifts away, bring it back and think of nothing but the breathing itself, always coming back after drifting. Do that for 5 or 10 minutes each morning and you will find that you are able to apply that to any task. Thank you Jim and Dandapani for sharing, love you guys!

This is very helpful to me. I suffer from OCD and my therapist once told me that "the mind is tree a full of monkeys; some are sad, some are happy, some are fighting, and some are throwing shit all over the place." You take this metaphor and you marry it with Dandapani's, and it in a way it all makes sense. You can't control your thoughts, but you can control what you do about them. I once heard that a big reason why people cant meditate, and profoundly refuse to, is solely because once they close their eye, the notice how "crazy" they are in terms of the vast thoughts, images, short/long stories that come to play. The point is at the moment not to run away, but to run towards. You do this, one step at a time, and the more you practice, the bigger and better each step feels. Thank you Dandapani, the state of Maine loves you and so do I.

I concentrate by using some amazing simple tricks
    1. Wake up early at sharp 04:00am (I discovered some amazing tricks that help me a lot to get up early)
    2. Decipline yourself take a look at your to do list
    3. Fresh up
    4. Most important -Meditate (daily practice of meditation helped me in my studies a lot I can concentrate more and I m able to absorb more)
    5. Read books daily or listen to audio books☺my favorite
    6. Never study for more than an hour. Take short breaks, fresh ur mind and get ready to hustle a little more

My daughter needs to concentrate in her study but she couldn't. I just removed her phone and her pc and she only can take them back when the task had been accomplished and well done. Sometimes all we need is a "higher power" to help us to remove us from distraction. Now if she wants to learn to concentrate with meditation is up to her.

Dandapani and Jim Kwik discuss the importance of concentration and provide tips on how to improve it. Some key points include:
Concentration is at the crux of all human success and endeavor.
Concentration is something that can be learned and practiced.
The ability to concentrate is essential for manifesting and creating what you want in life.
The first step in improving concentration is defining what it is: the ability to keep your awareness on one thing for an extended period of time.
Practice doing one thing at a time to improve concentration. For example, when speaking with a loved one, give them your undivided attention.
Develop empathy and patience with yourself in the process of improving concentration.
Technology is not inherently bad; it is our inability to exercise discipline around its use that is the problem.
Concentration is necessary for being present in all experiences and for being mindful.
Awareness can be visualized as a glowing ball of light that can travel to different areas of the mind.
To improve concentration, one can also practice meditation, set a timer to focus on one task for a set amount of time, or practice deep breathing to calm the mind and increase focus.
Overall, the conversation emphasizes the importance of concentration for success and happiness, and provides practical tips for improving it in daily life.
