And that after all these years and being older they still believe in each other, that they are capable and the same people even if the world and so much have chanced, there is still a place for Abba. I do think too that the pandemic played va part in this reunion, we all had some time to think about our lives, forgive old things and try things you maybe had not time for before.

A perfect song to describe the group relationship. It gives me such joy to know they ended up on good, loving terms. They were emotionally strained and broken and now time has healed the wounds and they have only the good left. So wonderful.

James, your reaction and commentary hit home with me. Just when I was willing to give up on your generation you made me realize how there are those worth believing in. I was a teen when ABBA took the world by storm. Your right, their music transcends generations, cultures and politics. It was the last album my father bought and he was born in 1931. Their reunification and these two songs have me balling after all these years and I am a type A male that looks like a biker. Keep your faith in the “right” people. I think you’ll do great things.

I know exactly what your talking about, I was embarrassed and humiliated by the same person twice recently, the first time hurt like hell, the second time not so much cause I expected it. But at the end of the day, better to know now the kind of person they truly are, than further down the road. Something better is waiting for you in the future, you'll know when you find that special person, and you'll learn to trust again with someone who deserves you, encourages you, and proud of having you on their arm. You seem like a great person, so it's their loss, and what a big loss it is. Loving and trusting someone is hard to do with emotional scars from your past, but even the most damaged hearts can love and trust again. 🌺

Great review, loved your reaction !!! one of my top favs now. Yes, as a teen in the '70's here in America it wasn't cool to profess your love for ABBA, so as time and maturity has proven there were many many many closet fans. Not me, I had an ABBA concert t-shirt, ABBA posters on my bedroom wall and of course all their albums. My teenage girlfriend hated them, turned out she was jealous of my adoration of Frida, Agnetha...lol !

I feel what you're saying. I too was let down a couple of times and they left me with a deep mistrust for people over that. But I've come to believe that faith and others don't always go wrong. Here are four people who have a history of 60 years. They've had incredible highs and lows but even now, in their mid-70s the love is pretty obvious. I live in Seattle, USA, and was able to get tickets in early June for the CGI show in London. My faith is that the world will be rid of COVID and I'll be able to travel to London again. My distrust of people was so paralyzing that I'm now willing to be let down occasionally in order to live a happy life. I hope everyone that's been hurt can find the peace I have.

@darkiee69 2 tracks from the new album are "unfinished" demos from around the time ABBA disbanded in 1982. They are "Bumble Bee" and "Just A Notion", and there will be a "Christmas song", which is probably the one titled "Little Things". And I think that Björn sings lead in "Bumble Bee".

James - I believe that the words "I Still Have Faith in You" are ABBA members telling each other that we can do this. In spite of whatever hard feelings there were at the breakup, time has passed and the love they had at one time has returned and they are ready again to function as a group.
I have been putting a little twist on this sentiment and in my mind I imagine that Frieda is really singing this to ME. It is wonderful hearing these words of confirmation directed at "me". Words of confirmation, yes, we all need that. Thank You ABBA, from all of us.

At first I felt like this was a ballad, but after countless plays it feels like it’s a triumphant anthem of their return and it is perfect for that. The fact that they are still good friends and doing this because they are having fun is just icing on the cake. It marks almost 60 years since they first recorded together and they said it felt like no time had passed. That’s heart-warming to say the least and a lesson for us to learn.

Until now two new ABBA songs have been known, both different in their themes and leading voices And both have the ABBA trademark on their solvency in musical composition and production
We know the great spirit of perfection that Björn and Benny impress on their creations, and both new creatures live up to their great successes of the 80s.
So the biggest mystery was to know the state of the voices of Agnetha and Frida and how they could react to the inevitable passing of the decades and their possible comparisons with previous classics.
And I must also say that they both look very good
And in that "look" there is an extraordinary job of caring for Björn and Benny to "take care" of their historical singers, partners and former partners. They gave them two wonderful songs, with beautiful melodies and deep lyrics, but they were also surrounded by the iconic hooks and the appeal to emotional nostalgia
"I still have faith in You" is an unpublished song in its conception in the history of ABBA
because it is self-referential about them as a group,
and it is also testimonial, because they tell us about their experiences in all this time
Musically it is a ballad with mystical and epic
A stately and majestic piano, and Frida's soft voice conducts and recreates ABBA's story with poignant beauty,
with Agnetha joining in some verses to emphasize
The sound of the drums arrives (a nod to the mega hit "Fernando") as if preparing the change of rhythm
And with a powerful guitar comes that first unpublished chorus, because this time all ABBA sings from the bowels of its history and with the strength of its testimony of life, of healing and togetherness.
And in the second chorus, even stronger, it becomes very clear that ABBA sings with the passion and courage that Björn's excellent lyrics stand out, it is like a triumphant song of their survival and their bond.
And it ends with a solo by Frida, flawless, with the flutes at the end
Also isn't a commercial song (more than 5 minutes) it's so emotional, with a fantastic vídeo of all greatest memories of pictures, official videos of 70s songs and Australia tour
ABBA really comes back at high level
    The world needs ABBA sound

Been an Abba fan from day one in 1972, and after years of them saying they would not get back together this is a dream come true. There's been rumors ever since the work with these Abbatars began, and the news of them recording two new songs in 2017, there was 5 songs, a whole new album. Now last week we finally got the news it was a whole new Abba album being released in November, that was such happy news that just made my day. And finally get to hear the two new songs we've known about for so long, I'm lost for words. Their music has always been rooted in my heart and soul, even after hearing their songs so many times I still get emotional. And these two new ones just grabs me, I get teary eyed every time I hear them. Real good music just makes me so emotional, and Abba's music is one of a kind. No one comes close and to finally hear real music, no autotune and real strings, that's heavenly. Abba's music brings people together, doesn't matter what age or where you live on this earth, they speak to all of us. Can't wait for the album in November, as I sat listening to the Arrival album in 1976, when I was 12 years old, teary eyed, I will surely be sitting listening to the new album just as teary eyed. Wonderful reaction of yours, welcome to the Abba family!

They were almost as big as The Beatles. They were swarmed by fans in the 70s as if they were The Beatles! Their sound was so authentic, so joyful, and they wrote it all and produced it! Then there are those gorgeous voices! It's hard to convey the monumental effect they had on the music industry and their fans. They had 28 hits and 9 #1s and sold half-a-billion albums! And almost all of their music stands up today. No auto-tune, no attitude, just pure talent, and love! How are they in their 70s?! We're next! What is our legacy!?

thank you Abba fan. lovely reaction,! And that's how it should be ,listening to these soulstirring harmonies and lyrics, yes Abba fits into every era! I believe that it is the spirit in us that is given the nourishment of love, -,that mystery which moves us into the heavens, and which is eternal. It is love that holds the whole universe together. What else can move the heart? And what else does a darksome world need. Abba have come back just at the right time.

ABBA is the reason I love Home Free so much! It's been a long time since your reacted to them, btw! The right harmonies, the intricate and complex arrangements, the magic that is created when they are all together.
This is emotional and it's healing!
Thank you for the reaction! 🥰🙏
Also, on a personal note since you brought it up, don't give your power seat to other people. The faith you are looking for can't be found in others, it comes from you having faith in you, and you having faith in your higher power. Nobody else will ever be able to give you what you want all the time, it's an impossible situation to be that person. First we have to fill ourselves up with what we want, and then the magic can happen with other people. Just a little FYI from a life coach working with the mind, body and soul/spirit/heart connection and the holistic Well-being from the inside and out. I see people go from struggling to thriving through my work so I know for a fact that this is how it works

"Life coach". Excuse me. But the very existence of such a phrase is testimony to not knowing the first thing about life. It's to laugh one's effing ass off at!

    • @carinalindberg7377

@@beorlingo No, it shows that there are people out there who have found ways to thrive in their personal lives that they wish to share with others who are still struggling with living the life they want to live and with being the person they wish to be. All which involve loving and appreciating unconditionally while spreading a light in the world. If you see that as something negative, lesser worthy or valuable than whatever you do is, it's fully your choice and right. Personally I see that everyone is equally worthy and valuable. The understanding of life is a lifelong journey as we are evolving beings that are constantly in transformation; mentally, emotionally, physically, energetically and spiritually. We all need guidance from time to time, whether we admit it or not. There's a reason why it is the quickest growing profession, and to many vocation, and it's not because anyone is tricked into it. Every single person that seeks out a life coach, whichever direction and orientation because there are as many as there are in life, does so because they want to improve themselves and their lives. How can any of this possibly be seen as something you wish to look down upon? You must very clearly have no idea of how many people in the world there are that are no longer coping and surviving in life but thriving thanks to people like me who dedicate their whole lives to improving other people's Well-being so they can be lights in their own worlds.
Are you a light in your world? I know without a doubt that I am in mine, and in the life of those around me too., And I know that the people that I coach are walking tall, happy, thriving in themselves and in their lives, spreading their light to those around them who in turn find the light in themselves and start spreading it to the people around them. And like rings on the water... ❤️🙏

Simply the fact that you come out teaching James on faith without even having a trace of an idea about what his story is basically says it all. You need to get a job and start supporting yourself and stop preying on confused people who can't think for themselves.

There's nothing shallow in any of my words, and my original comment was about me and nobody else. I am completely self-supporting, btw, and very satisfied and happy in all aspects of my life. @@carinalindberg7377 haha, I knew you'd unchallenged say "love for myself", hence voluntarily going where I steered you. You are blissfully oblivious to the fact that you have no comebacks. Brutally disguised with but a few simple facts. Everything you might say will only further bear witness of someone desperately clinging to the egobubble where you reside. You need to realize that your approaching James is the perfect equivalent to those harassing people on the town square, masquerading as salesmen, peddling for bucks to them what no one needs. It’s humbling to see that even one of the most successful bands in history are asking if they still have it in them to return after so long. The song works on many levels, as a love song, a message to themselves as a band and to the fans who have loved them for so long.
It’s also a treat for the fans is that not only have they recorded new music, the show they will be doing in London had them act out the songs as if they were on stage in motion capture for 5 weeks and live music will be played in real time so it is as real as it can be.

Please ... In Memory of September 11, 2001 (9/11) 20 years ago, it would be great if you could react to Mark Knopfler 's (Lead Guitarist and Vocals of Dire Straits) with Emmylou Harris "If this is Goodbye".
Knopfler wrote this after he heard that people in the Twin Towers were phoning their wives and husbands while stuck up on the buildings before they came tumbling down.
It's an incredible song with incredible emotions heard in Knopfler's and Harris' voices, with great lyrics and great instrumentals. It doesn't speak about 9/11, and if you didn't know the story behind it, you wouldn't know it was about 9/11.

And regarding ABBA, their music and this song - I grew up with them and always loved them and still do. ABBA, Queen and Pink Floyd occupy the top three spots for me (in given order)
Not sure how much Pink Floyd you've tried, but I suggest you listen to

Hey man, heard your story about trust issues etc. Trusting people is by definition making yourself vulnerable. I've put my trust in the wrong people too. People who treated me so right, and then gradually over time so wrong. But bruh, you're only defeated if they succeed in making believe you deserved all that hurt. Have less expections of people and they won't be able to disappoint you - and you might even have some happy surprises along the way.
You do you. Blast ABBA as much as you want. Their music is not my thing... but you love it, and why shouldn't you? Focus on what makes you happy and energized.
    Fistbump from Sweden.
