    This looks interesting and promising! Oh and I love loot (that's something I love about Dungeon Crusade) :-) ... these times have been quite exciting for me with Dungeon Crusade, Dungeon Universalis, Dungeons of Infinity ... now waiting for League of the Dungeoneers and Dungeons of Doria!

    For the "extra reference book" you encountered:
    Game Crafter unfortunately has a limitation of 40 pages for rulebooks, so I had to print the extra 8 pages as an additional book. For sure it will only be like this in the prototype ;)

      I won’t be doing a play through. I’ll just be talking about the game. I don’t normally do full let’s plays. Not my strong suit. :).

    Old school feeling, a initiative track, a lot of loot, multiple campaigns, good art... what can I wish more?!
    I hope there's a way for creating random dungeons. Also like Daniel said, that initiative track needs some redesigning, it's too convoluted and it's not pleasant to sight.
    But yeah! I want this.

      Initiative Track is noted and in fact is the only thing that was not reworked for the past few years, so it will be redone before the Kickstarter.
      For the random dungeons:
      You can simply shuffle the decks and play a random game.
      I can imagine a kind of challenge where everyone plays with one (or 2, 3, ...) character and then tries to beat the top number of room tiles opened - how many can you dive into before your chatacter dies?
      Most of the game parts are already random, but my test groups more liked to play campaigns. A random game mode is possible, but so far it was not a favorite.

      I normally send only a newsletter out every two months and was full on busy with creating the prototypes for the reviewers. Next step is preparing the Kickstarter, Manufacturing and Shipping, so a lot to do behind the scenes and not a lot to show before the Kickstarter - but I will try to show a few more things before the big day Kickstarter day :)

    This looks pretty cool. I particularly like the tiles which look to have more variety in set up then your average dungeon crawler tile with corriders etc. The amount of quests looks massive and it seems to pack a lot in a box. Is there specific cards for random narrative encounter cards like the encounter deck in Shadows of Brimstone? Are specific encounters tied to quest rooms in the quest books? Just wondering how combat heavy this game is and if non combat encounters are exist. Apologies if I missed it in the video.

      There is no specific encounter deck (yet, possibly as a small expansion in addition to existing things).
      The campaigns and scenarios normally mention something like "mix room A-5 into the deck of rooms" and then later you will see in the scenario description something like "as soon as A-5 is revealed", describing either additional events, a specific monster or switches you have to press or similar.

      I would like to see some random non-combat encounters. Although the traps in the loot deck offer some of that, and there are a lot of them.

      @@TheDungeonDive I am thinking about adding a smaller and optional "Open the door" deck to add some additional events when exploring. This could add things like "the door is blocked and takes another 8 Action Points to open" or "this door is blocked by stone - use another one" up to things like "in the next room you find xyz" or special events or similar. Still to be playtested and would add another deck of cards, heightening the complexity, but might be worth it... let me know what you think after playing it, might be too much based on traps and scenarios, but beneficial for a simple complete random mode.

      What is your upper price for a game with the content you have seen and including the 4 Campaigns and the 18 Single Scenarios?

I am still working out the price, but it is going more in the direction of two times this price - producing a lot of cards at a low quantity (for example 500 games) already costs that much in manufacturing, not to speak of shipping to different areas of the world. But of we could get 2000 or more orders, that would be different... 😁

      Provided the game is fun and the story is engaging then I think £70+ is still good value so I’d be willing to pay more. I think it looks sweet!

    Looks like a nice game! The one thing that really doesn't look good to me are the huge monster icons on the floor tiles. Maybe make them smaller and in the top right corner would look better. Or change the art :)

    I've been seeing and hearing about Dungeons of Doria for a while now and glad to see some thorough coverage so thank you. There's a lot that appeals to me in this video with loot and monsters being the two big ones. However, I'm not a fan of some of the design choices. The rulebook would benefit massively from far better spacing and layout. Where cards have space it would be better to re-position text rather than keep it cramped and leave empty space just because that particular card doesn't have something to go in the gap. The tile art overall is amazing but the monster icons bring the quality down a lot for me. The chits are enormous and feel too basic. I feel like I'm complaining about something I could never have dreamed of doing myself and please don't think my comments come from anywhere other than someone who wants Doria to do amazingly and give Victor all the success he deserves. Just needs some polishing is all.

      Just saw this comment by accident, and probably it would be better to move over all the feedback into the BGG forums or similar.
      However, to quickly give some response to it here: The rulebook has been designed with the GameCrafter sizes in mind - and that means sacrificing a bit on spacing. The final rulebook will have a bit more space around. However, you also talked about layout - so what exactly would you like to see changed?
      I am aware of the card space issues - but for me it was more important to always have the same things at the same space. Overall, I had to make some decisions, and I rather wanted all the cards to look the same rather than fill up space.
      Tile Art and Chits/Tokens: I am thinking of making the monster icons a bit smaller and adding a few other helping things (like marking open sides, color blind changes for the icons, ...). The tokens will need a slight rework probably (have been like this since the first prototype), but they have one big advantage over "nice art on the token": They are visible when putting them on the cards and character sheets. If they use similar artwork, you might overlook them, and that defeats the purpose. But I will think about it before the Kickstarter and possibly upgrade them a bit :)

    Given the cost of producing games and since things could be found to be unbalanced or maybe in the future you want to add even more loot, would it not make sense to make things like loot cards digital?
    Since these cards are random, the cards and text could be put into a database. Even 1000 items in a database on the web is nothing and would probably be part of a free tier on most web hosting sites. From a website, you would click a button and it would generate a random card on a screen that you can then drag and drop onto a virtual backpack.
    I like a lot of loot but it just seems like things are getting expensive and I do not believe it would hurt your immersion much by drawing cards for loot (see Witchborn Game).
    I also find it strange that you have so many loot cards but only 19 enemies. I know there are augment cards but I rather have different monsters too.
    I would rather have event cards for the rooms. I rather have the location of the monsters in the room be random. You can still scale to the number of players by giving info on the event card. I like to change up the room layout that way every time you encounter the room the layout is always different. I am not happy the tiles will be the same and there is no way to make the room contents random in terms of monsters and loot location.

      @@SamBalducci There is nine slot per character to equip to. If there is class/role restriction for items then that would also add to the card count so that there would be analogues of items for each class/role. The item card count getting too large can be mitigated by making them double sided which is how Sword & Sorcery implemented theirs.

      I will try to answer some of these questions here:
      - Number of cards: Yes, you could do this in an app or online in some way. However, I like if a game is playable without any technical apps/items and only uses it to extend or make it easier. For example, I can easily think of a "digital character sheet" where you put all the cards and manage them, but drawing them should be simply from the pile. I like to play this game on conventions offline ;)
      - only 19 monsters: More monsters is not better if they don't feel different. These 19 have all a unique ability plus should also feel different due to armor or stats already. If you add more, the difference in the stats would be less the more you add. In many games you can see more monsters, but basically they are just different art. I wanted to avoid that.
      - Room Tiles/Monster locations: I wanted to make it easy to just reveal a room and place the monsters. If you need to roll for the location first, this is some extra step and extra randomness not needed believe -;there is already a lot of randomness also, by how the room is rotated or added to an open room side.
