Hey guys, im here from 2024, has the linked changed to smth like lens studio? cuz thats what is coming when i click the link, is it changed to lens studios?
hi, I'm trying to make an animation. The animation idea is, buildings will remain stable and over time vines will envelop them. for example, in the first second there are no vines, while in the 10th second the vines will rise 5 meters. But these generators are connected to each other and I can't make the vines grow over time. The ivy size at 10 seconds becomes the same as at 1 second. Is there a way to separate these generators and use the vine separately?
@@TopChannel1on1 SceneCity addon allows you to build custom terrain and cities in minutes, but I was just wondering if I could use this city generator with SceneCity addon
I'm curious about something, If I were to use addons, premade textures or models in my projects, and published them will I get copyrighted? Should everything I use be original and made from scratch?
Btw great video🙌 Ive been watching your live streams, your an absolute monster. Though I would like to see your final results, I noticed that most of your videos suddenly end. I know that the projects can be too big that your pc can't handle it. But you cant just leave us at the edge of our seats😅
Short answer: *For finished renders, no, unless the license is very rare/weird, so pay some attention to licenses. Public-domain assets from e.g. Poly Haven are 100% safe for any purpose and don't cost money. IANAL.* Using an add-on or *software* to make finished artwork (a rendered video/image, a game-ready exported model with baked textures...) should not affect your copyright on it. Just because you wrote your novel in Word doesn't mean Microsoft gets any copyright on it. The EULA of some proprietary software may e.g. forbid you from using it for commercial purposes (e.g. "student" or trial versions of overpriced industry software) - IDK if that has ever been enforced on indie artists, though. With static *assets* like image textures, stock footage, meshes... it depends on the license under which you got them. The easiest case are assets that are in the _public domain_ - i.e. their creator/owner has forfeited all rights to them (sometimes also called "CC0"). You can use them however you like, with no restrictions - you could even redistribute (=give away or sell) the raw assets. There are entire sites like Polyhaven that exclusively offer CC0 assets, and you can trust that they made them and had the right to release them as such. If a website is selling textures or models (or giving away free samples), their license usually waives their rights to any works you create with it, and they don't get any copyright or royalties on your art. It probably has to be transformative enough, though - you can't give away the assets themselves. (Example: When Ian Hubert did the Blender 2.83 splash screen, he used textures he bought. The copyright on the final render belongs to him, 100%, and he decided that Blender can include it in their software - so far, so good. Problem: He could not give away the .blend file of the scene on the Blender website as usual (esp. not under a CC license), because it contains the raw texture files, and the license of the textures didn't include that right - they had to be removed.) There are several flavors of Creative Commons licenses which may require you to mention the author in the credits (BY), require you to release whatever you make with them under the same license (SA), or only allow non-commercial use (NC). The Creative Commons website has detailed explanations for all of them - but AFAIU, assets tend to be either "public domain, do literally whatever", "CC-BY plz mention" or "commercial, create art with them and sell that as you wish, but don't redistribute raw and ruin our business". Node groups (procedural shaders, geometry nodes), scripts, as well as add-ons that come with assets, are in a weird in-between place between software and assets, so IDK the details what you need to consider if you use them to make something and release it as an asset (e.g. models for use in video games, .blend files as a bonus tier on Patreon, ...), instead of a finished render. On a practical note, if you are just talking about getting copyright strikes: No one is going to notice which brick texture to you used in the background of your CG movie. AFAIK automatic detection of copyrighted material on a mass scale (e.g. UA-cams Content ID) only exists for long audio & video clips by big media companies. Also, even if you make something yourself, from scratch: If it's a painting of Mickey Mouse or Darth Vader, you still don't own all the intellectual property on that, and Disney may be able to sue you if you sell it. IDK, did that answer your question somewhat? Feel free to ask more!
As a digital artist, would I be copyrighted or stopped from publishing my works? Also, I'm trying to use it and everything is just jumbled up and not doing anything like in the video
This is a grey zone. Since it is a service/that you are buying you should be able to use to make and post your work. But what makes this a grey zone is this is not a hard object(like it is not a one design or one object, it is made random). It is like asking if you can post and CLAIM a song a ai music maker made. You can use it, but I would put some credit to it. I also want to state that I am not saying that you 100% can or can not use it as I am not a pro in that field, I am just someone with some experience and knowledge.
Great video showcasing a great add-on
Thanks 👍
thankyou so much for introducing this to me
you are welcome
Looks really good. Can you change the size of the leaves on the trees? They look too large initially. Thanks for the heads up.
Dang finally!
Its awesome your video is super useful
Hey! Thanks for that! I tried to add camera inside the project but the view is shows very distorted. Do you know how to fix?
Seems like an awesome addon just can't seem to find it.=Also there's no link in the description. Thnx

You need to look under what license the addon is published

Hey is there a way to export the entire thing as an fbx ? I wanna import this into UE4
you can export it as fbx, but the cleanup you have to do is not going to be worth it i think
