I have the 10w and have been watching you the last week on scroll saws. Would like to know as you experiment if the 20w can cut half inch hardwoods that are usable with air assist. $600 budget for the module or a scroll saw and cannot find enough info to decide which piece of equipment to get. Thanks.
Hi! I just installed my 20W module. Does the fan of your 20W module turn on right away when plugged in even when the machine switch (on the frame) is still not turned on yet? I was expecting the fan of the laser module to turn on only when the switch on the frame is turned on.
Do you need to do anything after installing?..some folks have been saying it doesnt work with lightburn and other programs...and well i use lightburn so it kinda sucka
I have used Lightburn with the X-Tool D1 from the beginning. It works fine with this laser. Other than the typical Lightburn install there are no additional steps that I remember.
If you mean drawing the pattern on the wood with the laser, I have but I found it too time-consuming. I just print the pattern on paper and glue it on the wood. Is that what you were asking?
@@stevegood3224 Yep, I was thinking of using the laser to lightly engrave a pattern. Especially if you had multiple copies of the same thing like you have with some clock patterns. Thanks!
I love makeblock and have the m1 boosted 10w diode! I am glad you love the D1 20w!

Could you do some metal etching with the 20W for us?

Nice , what fonts do they use? if you laser fonts, are there good fonts free of charge? Thx. ( sry for translate by google )
Is that the 20w module that is made for the regular D1 or is that the 20w D1 pro?
It is the 20w module for the original D1.

Hi Steve. Do you ever use the laser to transfer patterns to scrollsaw? I’ve been scrollsawing for years but just got the Xtool 20 w.
