I'm so happy I found your channel! I've been thinking about which Psychology profession I want to go into and recently, Child Psychology seems to make sense for me (: either this, or a School Psychologist where I can work with a larger/more diverse group of children! I really want to be able to make a positive difference in the lives of young children. I'm currently finishing my Bachelor's degree and will go on to get my Masters right after.

Im 14 and I struggling with my mental health in this time of pandemic. I feel like online classes make my stress worse than regular classes. Even people around me felt the same. Because of this struggles, I felt how it is to have mental illness
( i have OCD and anxiety) so I want to become a psychologist one day to make my patients normal and back to reality. Being a psychologist, you can help your society.

I have two associates degrees one in behavioral health and one in medical office, but I think I found my dream career 🤞🏾 because my heart is to help people

I'm 29 and I've just started my first degree. A mature student (and mama) based in the UK. Here, it'll take me 3 years in my degree, 1-2 years experience and 3 years in a doctorate. That's approx 8-9 years to qualify. It's a long long journey but I am so ready. Better late than never! 🥰✌️✌️✌️💜

I'm an incoming college student and I really want to pursue Psychology but here in Philippines, I often get told at that there will be no future for me in that field, and I should just take Accountancy or Education. But I never been more interested in anything other than Psychology. Watching this inspires me to pursue what I'm really passionate about.

I came to learn about what I can do with my associates in psychology but it caught me by surprise you dance bachata! Haha that’s so cool I love dancing bachata 🌹
I am a senior in highschool & i want to be a clinical psychologist but what's making me not chose it is all the years of education i need, finding a job after doing all the years needed & how not to mix work w your own life bc im rlly empathetic. I guess i'll just keep trying to figure it out
I had many similar questions! To be honest all those things are a little tricky but you pick them up along the way :) everyone in the field (and other jobs) might also experience similar concerns so don't let it hold you back if its your dream to become a psych!
As someone who is in their masters and doing the work right now. If you break it down and set mini goals then it’s not too bad. Depends on the area you want to go into practice or research based. Working in a pandemic means you always have clients so constantly have a job. Can be your own boss or agency or other heplaces. Very flexible and many areas to go and grow in. Counselling is one aspect. If you love school and learning and helping others in their dark moments it’s worth every bit. It doesn’t feel like work to be honest. Btw I’m in Canada so things may be a bit different. But not too much.

Hello! I am currently on my 4th year studying psychology (in my country you study like 5-6 years) and idk I am a bit worried because a lot of people say only HR people have a good salary but I really want clinical psychology. So thank you for uploading this video 😊💛
Hey Tamara! haha i heard the same thing in undergrad- to be honest I dont know the salaries of org psychs/ HR and there's a very good chance they are paid very well however I'm quite satisfied with my clin earnings and I would say its over average compared to most other roles in australia! good luck :)

i'm 25, going back to school for my BA in psychology. I kept going back and forth when I started school when I was 19, but took a break..cause I didn't know what I wanted to do. I'll be attending full time, so I'll be 29/30 when I graduate. Then i'll get my master's 3 more years of school, i'll be 34/35...then hopefully i'll get my PHD so i'll be 39/40. So i'll be 40 when I become a full psychologist. That's still young and a good age. as a DR. I'm excited.
