Today I made a new track for a film I'm editing. I made chicken taco's for lunch. I made my husband smile. I'm not currently making money in my field of study, though i'm focusing on being in the moment, allowing my work to develop and being confident in my abilities. Your work space looks so welcoming and cozy.
Today I made a pact to myself to take a day off. I've been struggling with overworking lately, im in University training to become a therapist and I've recently started placement and also have a ton of assignments to do. I'm also disabled and have a condition which affects my energy levels and causes me a great deal of pain if i don't rest enough, and yet i am also a perfectionist and always want to get high grades and am constantly overworking myself. I know i need to put my health first today, and that having today as a self care day will actually probably help my productivity next week - its the least I can do for my tired body, and for my clients, so i will be fresh next week. Love your videos btw! X
I was TOTALLY inspired by this video and your daily routine. It makes me want to find the time to journal. Your UA-cam channels are very educational and refreshing. I LOVE your authenticity ♥️
Thank you so much for your day in the life videos! I love seeing them. I am going into my second year of grad school, so it is nice to see what my days will possibly look like.
Steph! My therapist and I were just discussing starting a UA-cam channel because there is not enough content on here about us and what we do. Also with me still having an associates license I’d like to document my journey. Your videos are definitely motivating. Now I just need to stop being scared 🤦🏾🤣
Stephanie, you are so appreciated! My entire cohort are fans of yours lol!! Cannot wait to have my own home, my family literally jumps up to start washing all the dishes before I've even had a chance to let out that good sigh at the end of dinner. I'm all about tidying up after, but dang grandma. Loved this video. Happy Wednesday!
Wow, sounds like a very challenging job, seems like a lot goes on behind the scenes. Even if you love what you do document mean it's easy. I love how you take care of yourself first, and keep away from phone/internet for first 3 hours, that's so impressive. I like how you are very natural and don't try to cover up the "messy" aspects we all have, even if you are a model for others as a therapist
I literally love how honest your videos are for the day in the life. The busted slippers like same girl! I refuse to buy new ones if my still work fine lol Your house is beautiful, and I love your insight as a therapist as someone wanting to get into psychology!
Steph Anya, thank you once again for being transparent. I am in school to be a LMFT, so I know it won’t be easy. Sidebar: I almost finished with “You” on Netflix. I can see your video on this tv show.
What’s your schedule like as a therapist? How’s the pay? Are you apart of an agency or do you own your own practice? & how do you maintain sane? How do you work with a client that has similar troubles as you ? Love your videos! Just some questions in case you do a q & a
I forgot a couple other questions : what are your goals overall as a therapist ? & where do you see yourself in 5 years .. sorry super eager I’m looking into this career 😩. Currently doing my bachelors in psych & lookin for a good masters program .
@@StephAnya yes, a Q & A would be great! What are some ethical dilemmas that you experience, is insurance a big problem if your diagnosis is not accepted by your client’s insurance?, how do you check the insurance before scheduling a client for an initial session?
I love your videos! I’d love to know more about how you choose what books you are going to read and how you continue your education as a therapist (i.e like keeping yourself in the know/newest research)❤️
Please make this a series! I’m currently thinking about starting a master’s in LMFT & this has helped me see what my end goal could look like! Thank you thank you thank you! Also these are so relaxing!
@@StephAnya did you take additional professional development (such as play therapy, marriage counselling, ACT, etc). How did they help you in your family practice? How about conferences? I'm not sure how I envision this as a video. But it would be helpful to hear what helped you as a therapist. Thanks!
Hi Stephanie! Would you mind doing what a day in the life looks like for the days you don’t see clients. So, what you do for work when your not seeing clients
I love watching your day in the life videos! They encourage me so much and give me a glimpse of what I have to look forward to! Sidebar: OK baby hair! Lol ❤️
Loved this!! I just took my CPCE today and I’ll be starting my internship in the fall so this gave me some excitement. What’s your theoretical orientation, might I ask?
Hi Steph, firstly thank you so much for sharing all this amazing content. There's so much value in your videos. :) I wonder if you offer any online program?
Wonderful video. Just found your channel and I love it. The ease that comes off this video is lovely to see. How long does a session typically last? Can’t help but wonder how you accommodated all five in such a short time.
Thanks for the video.Does it ever have a negative impact on ones nervous system being a counsellor? and would a counsellor take SSRI medication to combat an issue like this ?
I have been loving your videos, Steph! They have been very helpful. I have a question-have you ever dealt with "imposter syndrome?" If so, can you please provide guidance as to how you overcame it as a therapist?
In the video, you talked about having to re-do documentation to make sure it met requirements for insurance. Please do a video about documentation standards and tips for writing. That would be really helpful. Thanks!

I love hearing about your creative day 😍!
@@StephAnya thanks. It’s here if you’d like to watch the film #BoysWithNewNames
So inspiring to see another black therapist. I’m a LCSW and you really inspire me

Hi Anya! I really enjoy your videos. I am a therapist too but I took 15 years off to raise our kids and now I’m back feeling like a newbie again!
Sort of exciting! New chapter
Hi Stephanie! It was so relaxing watching your “day in the life of” video. What’s your nighttime routine like?
I feel like my night routine is very lazy, but I'm happy to share it if you all are interested. Great idea! Thank you.
This was really helpful and provided some insight on what to expect as Therapist. Hope to see more content like this!

What an awesome comment to wake up to ♥️ Thank you so much 🤗
This is amazing! I just started my MA in Counseling, and you are making me so excited for the career that lays ahead! Thanks for sharing :)
LOVE the couple workout in the intro.
It's so much more fun than by myself!

Right?! 😫

Thanks for posting. I have a similar rhythm to my day as well.
Can you do an office tour? I am intrested in seeing that! (:
Sure! I'll be sure to include a pan of the office in the next one. I think I did it in my last one and meant to put that clip, but forgot.
I love your videos! I’m an LGMFT and it’s so nice to watch your videos and be able to relate
I'm so glad!
Can you do a video about additional training after graduation?
Hi Rasheeda! What questions do you have about that?

Hey steph! I’m at MHC-LP, glad you’re making videos! Repressnt

Aw thank you 🥰
could you do a video speaking about how you became a therapist and your path?

Hello Steph! I'm a newbie 😆💜
Can you please do a video on interpreting Structural Family Therapy Mapping relationship symbols. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing a day in the life. Can you share a “how it started vs. how it’s going video” on your professional life?
Thanks for the idea! I've really got to think about the format of that one... Like should I re-enact it?
I’m so glad I bumped into your channel! I’m a newly licensed younger therapist 🙈 I’m trying to decide if I should go fully telehealth…any advice? 💓
Hi Steph, firstly thank you so much for sharing all this amazing content. There's so much value in your videos. :)
I wonder if you offer any online program?
Thank you! At this time, I don’t. I’m curious about what type of program you’d be interested in.
Hi! This is perfect for new therapists! Next time, I want to be in your video!!
That’s a promise?? Because you definitely will be haha
The golden glow juices are soooo good!
I need to go today!
Today I made box lunches for students that are quarantining on campus!

Would you be up for doing a video about your intern process? I am nervous to intern (MFT) and not sure what the process will look like exactly.

What EHR do you use and/or like?
Hey Steph! I got accepted into NCU. It's going good so far. Could you do a mock session?
Hay quá
Do you have your own private practice or are you working at someone else's? If you do have your own, how do you build clientele ?

Have you ever ended a session early bc you felt unsafe ?
The video was most about urself and not ur career…smh
