The longer the wavelength the easier it can penetrate solid materials such as car doors and glass for example. #physics

That 1st responder or demonstrator got terms mixed up: He got frequency confused as "decibel." The decibels are your volume, not how high- or low-pitched something is!

Actually, it does put out about 10 decibels lower. Look it up.

I just heard the tumbler for the first time in person today by Milwaukee Police and it was crazy.

The rumbler is actually a sub woofer, believe it or not, and plays the siren in a lower frequency to get the "low tone" effect.
