As far as my snakes go, I bought what I like to look at. Mine are pets first, breeders second. I have 8 altogether, and I know that's not many, but I'm by myself after my husband died, so that number is what I can comfortably care for on my own. All of mine are morphs---I have no normals, but have produced them occasionally. This year, I hope to have 3 clutches---the girls look promising so far, but we'll see. I do sell all I produce, and have even donated a couple male normals to schools as classroom pets. (Jan Griffiths).
Smashing the growth ain't you... Well done. I've taken your advice and it's working for me on my channel growth. I can't do daily for 10 mins plus but I can do 3 a week . Full time work sucks lok
I'm right there with you, I"m working full time too but I've been going in late and leaving early, I actually told my boss I'm slowly transitioning out, maybe to part time in the next year or so, or maybe even out all together. I told him I want to be a full time UA-camr LOL. Believe it or not your channel is growing faster than mine, you are growing about 18% per month with nice strong solid growth, keep it up! I'm growing about 12% a month, I'm just a bigger channel and you can notice it a lot more. As long as you are growing at least 10% per month you are doing great. Not many people can do a ten minute video every single day, it's some serious grind. But I'll get there faster than anyone else!
The very first ball python I bought 30+ years ago was a male normal named Roswell (because of his alien heads). Called him Roz for short. He had a tiny white ringer even. I paid 17 dollars for him, Poor little guy had to be treated for mites right off the bat. He recovered from that fine, never refused a meal, and I had him for 27 years. (Jan Griffiths).
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures There is a snake that appeared on World of Ball Python this week. Enchi Lavender Super Blade www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/enchi-lavender-albino-super-blade/
I just got a pinstripe this weekend for $60 which I was so shocked he dropped it that far but she looks great perfect and beautiful needs some more weight and growing thou. I’ve also got a beautiful lesser female a breeder sold to me that I’m hoping to get some BELs out of with my Mojave but we will see how it goes on. I want to learn more so probably won’t be another year or 2.
Hi Chris I'am a newby when it comes to Terminology & Markers, Headstamps, Flames "Etc. Would very much Appreciate A few full videos on this topic..With all the different Morphs I would like to learn the difference between each Species of Ball Python at least the most Common morphs... I really enjoy your vids keep up the Inspiring work... your friend Curt
Hey can we get a follow up on African Soft Fur Rats? I don’t know much about them but I do know that they are super territorial and that you can’t really jump the males from tub to tub. I would really like to learn more about them.
I have a green pastel (lace black back) that was given to me a few years ago I named Kelly. She is very pretty, and great eater. She's one that I bred this year, and hope she cooking some eggs for me. Her old owners were moving out of country and couldn't take her. (Jan Griffiths).
I can kinda see the potential of so many seemaly simple genes mixed together . But clowns, pieds ,orange dream ,orange crush ,bambo dg are on my list . I start a second job in two weeks planning to putting most of that money into buying and setting up bp,s yo start breeding with . Will prob take a year but I'll get there bought one pastel male from a friend today and another in two weeks .. have a choice of a fire female or a black pastel female want them both lol. Will bring him home in about two weeks when he is ready . Great video as always very informative as always ... Your paving the way for future breeders .
Chris, I think Pied ball pythons seem more timid and easier to get stressed out for sure(they always ball up when I close their enclosure), I have same problems with pieds like you did. I bought a large female 2600grams+ in early 2017 and she only take food when I left rat and leave he alone in past two years. She never produces for me as well, but now she decides to pounding on food, and probably will produce for me next year... lol I can raise a baby up to adult in this three years. I have 6 pieds in my collection only one banana pied that I raised up from baby is a good eater...
Man, you got me wanting to bread! I just got a male butter enchi, I’m curious what would you pair up with this guy for some epic babies? I love your videos, thank you!
@Bubba G I’ve the thought about Bamboo quite a bit that’s a really cool morph, pied would be super interesting too! The only reason I haven’t done bamboo is because I kind of wanted to avoid blue eyed lucis. I actually have two females for him right now, a pewter belly and a ghi/hgw/pastel
I won't be there with a table and won't sell anything at that show but I'll probably show up on Saturday just to check it out as a visitor. Who knows, I may even buy a snake LOL
I will have my new house soon have my brother making my racks! I'm getting two male and female adult normal to breed in the summer. Then four males and four females hatchlings of I'm not sure what morphea I know I will be getting pied and clown my favourite but not sure what else I only want to spend around 300 to 400 on each snake.
Thanks for the info . But I still really live pieds and clowns and bamboos . I really have a hard time with what I like best lol. So I want some of everything eventually. I'll just have to start with a few and mix them and find what I like and work my way up to the.morphs I want . Some are so out of my price range until I start making money in a few years . ..
With a recessive gene, the percent refers to how likely it is that that specific snake carries one copy. So 100% het means it is guaranteed to have one copy of the recessive gene. 66% het means it has a 2/3rds chance of carrying it.
I agree it's in my top five morphs . But I really like what you can do with fire and pastel and candy and a bunch of not so crazy genes but mixed right and hit the right genes some amazing stuff.
I have a high white pied female who so far has been a great eater planning on breeding her in a couple of years to a clown 100 percent het pied hopefully
Ready to get my Pieds male and female het albinos got at least 2 years before I can breed 😭😭 Chris you have and het Pieds for sale soon ? Ready to breed? If so I wanna buy them
Probably not a smart money making idea but it would be cool to breed genes that would give funny names when you hit them like the banana ivory tri-stripe calico hurricane could be called the BITCH combo lol
Who’s Alex, not exactly, I bought my pinstripe from there. The employee brought two yellow spiders out from the back and showed me, said they were spider lol, I knew they weren’t just spider. I ended up taking my pin stripe back and trading for their “fancy” ones lol. Honestly they label them as “fancy” on the paperwork to designate their premium price, which is $120, but I got 35% off of that because they had special sale, and the money back from my pinstripe.
Some lady lost her shit on me recently when asking how much I was selling my 2000 gram female normal. I asked for 150, She told me she’s been doing this for long enough to know normals aren’t worth more than $20
Normals are and have been my best sellers. I charge 30 for males and 50 for females. I do have a few normal females that produce some really crazy looking babies I get 50 for males 75 for females in those crazy looking normals.

Clown is by far the most over rated gene. There isn't a single combo that can be made with clown that is even remotely as good looking as a single gene spider. I hate clowns. All these newbs see the super pretty babies and think they'll always look like that. Which is fine since most people in this pyramid scheme only keep these animals for a few months out of their 30+ year life span.

Bought a normal a month ago as a het pied. What markings on the belly do I look for?
Sometimes you'll see black lines along the belly, sometimes you won't see them.

Nice but you need 2x clown genes to get visual snakes
Watching this a year later - the cheapest female clown at the moment is $375. That doing better than just holding its price. Good call, Chris.
Hi, is there any chance you could help me identify what other morph my banana BP has it her? We’re thinking black pastel or cinny.
Post a link to the photo and I'll check it out, may be pretty tough.

I keep seeing on morph market a bp that is described as being “100% het”, wouldn’t that just be homozygous for that trait? Just confused...
Yes, it just has one copy of a recessive gene.
